I sat at the bar, greeted the bartender Nicholas, and ordered some Bang Bang Shrimp with an espresso martini. As I was enjoying my appetizer and cocktail, I happened to mention my upcoming birthday to Nicholas. In response, he told me to save room for dessert, offering me a choice between a brownie or cheesecake. Within a few minutes, Nicholas came back holding a plate of a thick piece of cheesecake topped with cherry compote and a lit candle. I was touched by the sentiment; the cheesecake was truly decadent and the cherry compote was sweet and delicious. Took my Mom for Mother's Day and had a wonderful evening. Our waiter Nick was fantastic. Everything was well paced and relaxed. We had the char grilled oysters and bang bang shrimp for starters and both were so delicious. Mom and I had the butterfish, which was perfectly cooked. A franchise that specializes in seafood entrées that is actually decent? Color me surprised as Bonefish Grill although not a national franchise is one that may be worth a visit when you happen to come across their signature fish skeleton logo that adorns all their signs. Located along Irlo Bronson Memorial Highway which serves as the main thoroughfare that bisects much of Kissimmee, which is considered a suburb of greater Orlando by many, especially the many tourists that reside here. I had never heard of Bonefish Grill until a visit to the Orlando area during a recent family trip to the local theme parks and we are so glad that we got to try it as the food was nicely plated and well-prepared with the only glaring portion of our meal was that the service was not up to par on the evening that we visited. This could have been due to the fact that we arrived on a holiday week and no doubt many other visitors to this location of Bonefish Grill had a nice family meal in mind as well as the place was quite lively upon our one and only visit. It would help that we decided to make reservations for our party of five people on the day of our visit, which they thankfully accommodated. Upon entry, they did sit us in their bar area, as they have booths for large families there as well, in addition to their bar area and high-top tables. Receiving menus and ice water for our meal would be a challenge upon being sat which would be indicative of what we would experience throughout the night as service on this visit would be either slow or non-responsive. The menu at this location of Bonefish Grill is separated into categories including Starters & Sharing, Soup & Greens, From the Wood-Fired Grill, Perfect Pairings, From the Sea, From the Land, From the Dock, and Pick Your Sides. With a complimentary loaf of ciabatta bread and olive oil, pesto, and garlic for dipping, our table would have a long time to ruminate over what we wanted to dine on for our meal. I would wind up ordering their Parmesan-Crusted Rainbow Trout which was artichoke hearts, fresh basil and lemon butter. Others would order their Cod Imperial which was stuffed with a blend of seafood, mozzarella and parmesan cheeses, topped with lemon caper butter; their Sirloin & Shrimp which was a wood-grilled 7 ounce center-cut sirloin paired with five jumbo shrimp; and from their Today's Special menu, their Linguine Del Mar which featured hard-shell mussels tossed in a white wine butter sauce served with roasted scallops and shrimp linguine, and was topped with fresh grated parmesan and diced tomatoes. With our orders taken and we assume entered in, it would take what seemed like an eternity for our food to arrive. With our complimentary bread not being replenished, we would wait a little longer and finally get our meals delivered to our table, as my fish was a decent dish if somewhat underwhelming as the seasoning was just off for some reason. There was nothing wrong with the dish, it just wasn't delicious enough, especially when fish is in your title I consider this an issue. With the scoop of sides including the Garlic Whipped Potatoes and their Seasonal Vegetables my meal was filling, if not fulfilling. The good news is that my dining mates really liked their steak and shrimp, pasta, and stuffed cod, which would more than make up for the lack of umami in my own entrée. What was nice about our meal is that with Bonefish Grill being such a popular franchise, they have a rewards program in which if you are a newcomer if you sign up for their program online you will get 10 dollars off of your first meal, which I would do instantly in order to get that deal. Our total bill would be 112.77 dollars before gratuity was added, with for five people who ordered five filling entrées that is more than reasonable and more than made up for the questionable service that we experienced on this particular visit. The one takeaway that I experienced is that Bonefish Grill deserves another visit, and should I be lucky enough to see their scaled fish logo, I will be sure to give them another look as I know their menu has loads of potential and that alone is worth a second visit to Bonefish Grill. read more

I wasn't sure what to expect after so long, but the moment I sat down, it all came back... and then the food absolutely blew me away. The Bang Bang Shrimp? Still as addictive as ever--crispy, creamy, just the right amount of heat. I tried the Chilean Sea Bass, and it was melt-in-your-mouth good. Everything was cooked perfectly and seasoned with care. Even the sides had real flavor and attention to detail. It honestly tasted better than I remembered! The cocktail menu has definitely gotten an upgrade over the years. I had a Pomegranate Martini and it was light, refreshing, and paired perfectly with the meal. Their wine and drink list feels thoughtful without being overwhelming. Can't believe I drove past a Bonefish Grill back home hundreds of times and have been missing out this whole time! We needed to eat after leaving Magic Kingdom well after 10pm and called ahead since they were about to close. They let us know that take out ended at 10:30 but they were happy to keep the kitchen open for us. When we showed up, not a single corner was cut! The service was pleasant and attentive, and the food came out hot and delicious. It felt like a private dining experience, all but one other table had already finished eating for the night. The crab cakes were solid, the fish entrees were great, and the burger was delicious! Portions were good and the sides were all really tasty. At no point did we feel rushed despite the restaurant being closed at that point, but we made sure to be quick and not keep them too long. The next day, every other nearby restaurant we were interested in had a long wait, so we decided to come back! The meal was just as good and we didn't regret double dipping one bit. Added: Clearly they don't read their reviews. The response from Bonefish was almost instantly reviewed after hitting submit. Make me laugh. Also fixed grammatical errors in review. We came in for dinner on a week night. We made reservations online, just to be sure we wouldn't have to wait too long. That was not necessary as it was not at all full, but it was nice to have that piece of mind that we would have a table ready for us. We were seated in the bar area at one of the large tables. As we were seated, I noticed the table behind us was occupied by a woman with 3 kids, and what appeared to be a server was talking to her for some time. We could very clearly hear their conversation. Our server arrived at our table after about 7 or so minutes after being seated. Yes, it was a different person. He asked for our drink orders. He had to check with the bar a couple of times about what they use for their house gin. We wanted to order the crispy cauliflower they have listed on the happy hour bites menu, but wanted to know if it was available during non happy hour times and what the price was. He again had to check on that, I think he had to get a manager for help as it was not showing in the system, so he couldn't check. Low and be held, it was able to be ordered during dinner, and the price was compartiive to other apps. So we ordered that. Now the menu mentions a tangy asian fusion glaze, I found it more to be like the bang bang shrimp sauce. Either it was incorrect or it was a very similar sauce. Either way, it was so tasty. Our only complaint for this dish was that larger pieces should be cut up more. The larger pieces were not as cooked and did have nearly the same flavor and great taste as the smaller/ medium-sized pieces. For my entree, I ordered the Seared Sea Scallops. They are currently on the daily specials menu. These colossal scallops are served over a bed of Mexican street corn sprinkled with bacon and feta cheese. It was not sure about how everything was going to work together, but all the flavors really worked nicely together. It was served with 5 scallops, all being fairly good size. I will say they could have been seared for probably about 30 seconds less. All in all, it was a great dish, and i'd ordered them again. My wife, not being a fan of seafood, ordered a chicken dish. She said it was ok, but a little dry. Ok, so overall, the food was great. The atmosphere was pleasant, and our server seemed to be new, but it was very nice and genuinely seemed to care about our experience. So, I had mentioned the table next to us had a woman with three kids. Well, as we at our meal, we learned that she works there. The other servers that visited her table chatted with her about customers, tips, and how busy or slow it gets. We noticed the kids were eating bread and cut oranges, perhaps the bar garnish. The women had some oysters and commented how good they were. We never saw a check presented. Maybe it is an employee benefit, or maybe they paid well before we arrived. We were not trying to be nosey, but no one was trying to hide anything or speak low. I do not know all the circumstances, but I do know that as a paying customer, I don't want servers to talk about other customers or tips in front of me. And I would rather be ignorant to free meals. Management didn't seem to mind as what appeared to be the manager, looked over at the table a few times, and smiled. We also noticed the manager watch employees and customers wait instead of helping. Yes, I know sometimes observations need to be made, but this stuff just didn't sit well with us. We noticed customers entered and had to wait for the hostess, while the manager watched, and not even discreetly. Again, I mention this as it rubbed is wrong. Was visiting family and they never been to Bonefish Grill but always wanted to, so of course we had to come here! It was late about 30mins before closing, but they sat us anyways. Chris was so friendly and polite. No one rushed us and we stayed a little past the closing time. Chris took our orders and even helps with suggestions. After he placed our orders we ended up chatting with him as we had just finished watching Avatar 2, which was why we were eating so late LOL My stomach wasn't feeling well so I got the Tempura Crunch Sashimi Tuna instead of an entrée. It was delicious! So the family members never had raw fish and was willing to try a little piece and they loved it. After searching for a special dinner to celebrate my daughter's first birthday we came across a 4 course dining event with wine pairings which to our luck was being hosted last night! This location had availability, and we were thrilled to experience it. The meal started with a crispy artichoke spinach salad. The artichoke was covered in a fried batter that was tossed in that amazing bang bang sauce. I'm not usually a fan of goat cheese but in this salad the flavors went SO well with it, the sauvignon blanc that was served with the salad was very refreshing. Course 2 was my favorite! We were served a smoky crab and shrimp risotto and just wow, it was buttery, creamy, and had a nice spicy kick to the shrimp that made me want to finish every bite. This dish was also paired with my favorite glass of wine of the night, Meiomi Pinot Noir. From my first sip I knew I had to remember the name so I could search for it later. If you're a fan of reds with notes of spice this is a definite must try. Course 3 was a 7oz filet mignon topped with shrimp and scallops. The presentation was beautiful unfortunately my steak was a bit too salty and cooked more rare than I preferred. However we were all served the same dishes and both my sister and law and husband expressed theirs wasn't as salty so I think it may have just been my plate. I didn't mind too much since the first two courses were so delicious. Course 4, dessert! We were served a decadent chocolate brownie topped with a strawberry champagne sauce. This was paired with a cabernet which fit so perfectly. To top off such a grand meal, the service at this location was amazing! We constantly felt attended to and loved how each person paid attention to the little details of our table even if we were missing something as small as napkins. It really does add to the experience. Stopped in for lunch at 1150a. I was quickly seated, and my server took the order. Went with the scallop and shrimp pasta ($20). As I was washing my hands, the bread starter was left for me, a freshly baked or heated square of bread with a small dish of pesto and oil olive. It was so tasty. My lunch came out soon after, and it was lovely, delicious, and gone quickly. The cut was so small that by the time I thought of sending it back I had already eaten half of it, so I kept it but felt like I just wasted money on it. Service was great, and pretty fast. The bar staff was lovely, accommodating and friendly. The cocktails were perfect. A nice place with a classier ambiance than a typical chain restaurant. Linguini del mare was in a thick cream sauce with little flavor which we specifically asked about to make sure it wasn't thick or creamy. It was a thick white sauce. My salad was overdressed and sat in a bowl of dressing with overcooked dry grilled chicken. The manager was kind enough to reduce our bill significantly and we tipped the bartenders generously. I think our server was too tired after serving a bunch of kids or gold digging on a big party near us. The chowder tasted like an old can soup. The alleged crab resembled fish food. If eating bacon crumbles was a crime, I would be innocent. The seabass was good and well cooked. The server messed up the order and got the wrong sauce. By the time she came by we already started eating. I should've went to the Golden Arches for a fillet of fish meal. I think I would've been just as happy. The bathroom was a complete sh!t show (pun intended ). It was trashed and smelled. One really positive was the person that seated us. She was very pleasant and welcoming. She should be a server. If the location management reads this. You should do some training with your servers. A two-top should be easier to attend and this should be as valued as a six-top. Service from Omar at the bar was excellent. I purposely went there while in Kissimmee for a seasonal special - Smoky Tomato Butter Grouper it was awesome. Maybe a minute or two too long on the heat for my taste, but it's hard to evenly cook a piece of flesh that thick. Broccoli overcooked but very tasty. The cheesy risotto was delicious.
