Service stinks, ordered online well ahead of my anticipated arrival. To the kitchen's credit my food was ready on time but I had to beg the bartender for my food. Empty bar mind you, no drinks being made but 10 mins just to fetch it from the back. Receipt shows it was ready sitting Ruined my lunch break never going back read more

I came to Cheddar's Scratch Kitchen to have lunch. This place is spacious and has a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. Once I was seated and looked over the menu, I ordered a drink and the meatloaf, which was served with two sides: steamed broccoli and mashed potatoes. Before the food arrived, the server brought over a plate of honey butter croissants. OMG, these croissants were absolutely delicious! So warm, soft, and flaky--the honey butter drizzle was chef's kiss. The deliciousness continued with the meatloaf, which was moist, perfectly cooked, and covered in a rich, flavorful gravy; complemented by the tender broccoli and creamy mashed potatoes. This was comfort food at its best. My drink (Tito's & cranberry) was delightful and well-balanced. If I wasn't so stuffed, I would have ordered another one. If you want to experience a variety of American comfort food with all day, every day happy hour at budget friendly prices, then I highly recommend Cheddar's Scratch Kitchen. read more

The mister used to live in Orlando so we went there partially so he could revel in his yester-years. He loves a good chicken platter, especially for a low price, so we split one. This was alright taste wise. We chose corn and baked potato as our sides. The servous was not fabulous. It didn't look crowded. Often a gentleman, who appeared to be a bartender, would come assist us when our server dissappeared for long stretches of time. The ladies room was not the happiest place on earth.Eh, it felt like it needed to be cleaned both times I entered. Maybe we should try another location next time we're out here. read more

Arrived with a party of 10 and were told that it would be about 30 minutes wait time, which was great. Once our table was ready, the host walked us in and directed us to two booths, not directly next to each other. I was a bit upset, because we were not told our group would be divided. We wouldn't have agreed to dine in, if that was the case. After going back and forth with the host and another manager/server, not sure who really, we decided to break our group as best between the two booths. Our server, Mitch, was phenomenal. He worked his magic and saved the night and took wonderful care of our now divided group. Food was good, drinks were great, and the service provided by Mitch was phenomenal. Not sure this review would have been a 4 start without Mitch. read more

Met up with some friends for lunch here. We arrived right at 11 AM when the location opened. I went with the grilled chicken pecan salad. I really enjoyed the salad, although the candied pecans were pretty hard to bite so I ended up leaving most of them in the salad. Really enjoy the honey Dijon dressing that goes with the salad because it gives it a nice tan and the chicken was cooked perfectly. They have a large parking lot so plenty of space to park and it is a pretty large location so if you have a group, definitely a good location to bring them to read more

Good food, but the service was nonexistent. We didn't get silverware and asked for napkins and silverware. The server brought us paper towels from the bathroom and no silverware. We finally asked another server and got them right away. We didn't see our server for the rest of the evening....no refills or anything. In the end, I had to tell the hostess to give us boxes. There was no concern for our experience and only the excuse that the server was taking on two areas. Okay, and? read more

I wasn't sure what to expect when we went into Cheddar's Scratch Kitchen, the parking was fairly quiet and we had no wait when we went into the restaurant. We were greeted and seated immediately, and it was lunch time so it was fairly quiet in the restaurant. There's a nice cozy atmosphere, with booths, tables, and little alcoves where you can be seated. The decor and the theming are modern but homely. We were very quickly greeted by our server and he asked if we had been here before and gave us a few suggestions as we were both new. Shortly after he brought the house honey butter croissants which I have to say are the best item I've had as a free "bread" option. You get one order of the croissants for free and we definitely asked for some more to go home with at the end!! I've always been a pastry fan and these croissants were fresh and tasty and the honey butter was absolutely incredible. Food came out shortly after, it was hot, the fries were perfectly seasoned and my fish was light and flaky. I'd read a lot of mixed reviews about Cheddar's but they were quickly put to rest, because our experience was nothing short of fantastic. Our server was excellent, very attentive and friendly, I unfortunately didn't catch his name, but he was a tall Latino gentleman with short hair in a Caesar cut. We will definitely be back as the all around experience was amazing and the food was great, and the prices were competitive, especially on the lunch menu! read more

Kicked off with a WATERMELON TEXAS FROZEN SWIRL and a complimentery HONEY BUTTER CROISSANTS. Followed by DIJON CHICKEN & MUSHROOMS with SOUTHERN GREEN BEANS and a CAESAR SALAD. Sooooo....starting with the cocktail. Shouldn't be a surprise that that it was a little too sweet, but also artificial and a sort of medicine taste to it. The salad was basic and nothing too memorable about it. As for the chicken, the Dijon sauce was the best part. The chicken itself was a little dry and over done. The rice and green beans were under done with both having a little too much crunch! read more

The service was excellent. Our waiter was attentive and informative. The portions were large, but the food was a bit greasy and didn't sit well in our stomachs. There were a lot of people hanging around outside the restaurant when we arrived. I assumed that it would be a long wait due to the crowd. However, we were greeted and seated immediately upon arrival. The atmosphere was dimly lit, yet cozy and romantic. There were TVs around the restaurant with a huge beautiful fish tank being its focal point. Our server was a friendly gentleman, but I forgot his name. We decided to forgo the appetizers and dive right into ordering the entrees. I ordered the 8oz steak with fries and a house salad. We also ordered chicken fingers with fries, and a shrimp and broccoli Alfredo. The food was wonderful! I would definitely recommend this place if you are looking for American comfort food. read more

The food was good but our Server Drew made the experience better. He was patient and funny. We had a party of 5 and Drew was on it! Everything came out hot and fresh. He explained corporate is making some changes and I know times are hard but some things don't make sense! Like cutting back on napkins. People always ask for extra napkins. We had a dozen of small to go boxes instead of a couple of big boxes. I'm a business owner so that's wasteful! We enjoyed everything appetizer platter. The spinach dip, it was just roughage! Wasn't creamy, no cheese, dry and crunchy! Didn't like the queso either. It was very salty and runny. But other than that everything was good! My family really enjoyed the happy hour drinks they have all day. But their menu is pretty economical, especially in today's economy! read more

First time in this location and, another win! Service is casual and friendly, food is glorious, and the painkiller was killing it! I had the country fried steak, and I was a little hesitant due to other locations, making it extremely breaded . But this one was on point. My girlfriend had the chicken tenders and shrimps, and they were perfectly crispy. Yes, the croissants were freshly done and still warm. I didn't give five stars because there was an issue with our dessert . It took half an hour . However, let me be very clear and emphasize that the server kept checking back with us and let us know that they had an issue with the cookie and had to remake it. The manager even came and apologize and offered us something else and yes, the dessert was on the house. It's just that it was an insane amount of time. But that won't keep me from returning and being a loyal cheddars fan. read more

We were looking for a place to have dinner as a family after a long day. What a disappointment!!! The ambiance is nice...actually quite beautiful but the food leaves a lot to be desired. The waitress was pleasant but didn't seem very experienced. Although she attended to us and took our order quickly but the food took a long time to come out. When my husband's pasta was served it looked dry as though it had been sitting out for quite a while. Pasta was overdone as well. Steak was ordered medium well but was medium rare even though it took so long to be served. Chicken tenders/fingers did not look like they did on the menu. They were not skinny...but instead they were big chunks of chicken. Lastly the food was super salty. The best thing about the meal was the honey butter croissants. I don't think that I'll ever be back to Cheddar's. read more

First of all, the server was great! Everyone's food was cold. I waited an extra 10 minutes for my pot pie "because it was still being prepared," but it came out as cold as ice as if it was frozen then tossed in the oven. The crust was burnt. My daughter's bacon on her burger was raw. Not just undercooked. IT WAS RAW! Whoever is running this place is severely lacking in food preparation and quality. Stay away from!!! read more

Atmosphere - Good. It is a chain restaurant and like many chains, it has a cookie cutter feel to it. Service - Good, not great. We waited forever for our server after being seated. Overall the service was spotty, which may be attributed to staffing issues Food - just OK. I had the Monte Christo sandwich and the potato soup. The soup was excellent. The sandwich was nearly all bread. The Honey Butter Croissants were excellent. Overall Value - Good. I have dined at Cheddars in the past and had much better experiences. This is one of the few chains that I will go to once in awhile. We had been at Epcot all day and wanted some simple fare. At 5 pm, it was very empty, but they seated the 4 of us at a table in the bar, next to a loud group of 8. After 15 minutes and no sign of a server, my husband went looking for someone. A server was sent over and we ordered drinks. The menu is varied, but I just wanted a burger and fries. Our server brought a plate of the honey glazed croissants and they were warm and fluffy and yummy good. Our food arrived timely and my burger was cooked perfectly and tasted good. The fries were lousy. They were slightly warm, but appeared to have been sitting around for a long time. Ugh. Our server never checked back on us, but finally showed up to bring our check. Not impressed with this location. read more

Save yourself the trouble and do not come here. It's a Monday early evening. Waited 25 mins to be seated. Then an additional hour for the food. No silverware, we were given plastic Togo utensils. Finally (!) got in to Cheddars without a crazy wait. We're here quite early on Saturday evening or late on Saturday afternoon. Hoping it's as good or even close to as good when they just opened. Things I noticed: Lots of kids. Or maybe it was just that one... First time a server didn't have a mask. He did a good job, so no complaints there. Most other staff had masks. And lots of people waiting as we were leaving **** Ordered the same items we liked that time: Country Fried Chicken - still nice and tender and not over seasoned. Server supplied lots of cream gravy on the side. Yea! Red Beans n Rice were nice. Not too spicy but well seasoned. Grilled Salmon was overcooked for us. We ordered rare but was closer to medium. Not dry, but not as moist as last time. Probably fine for most folks that haven't had a chance to try less cooked salmon. Corn was very nice and simple. Mashed Potatoes were good as always! No room for dessert. Going home with leftovers, so all good! read more

It was rainy very bad and we were really hungry . Stopped by Cheddar's and grabbed some dinner. We were seated time we walked thru the door . The place was steady with people coming in and out . This time I remember my waiter name because he left a big impact on us. Anthony was his name . We had hot butter croissants that were a hit . Not our first time at a Cheddar's, but our first time with great success. We started with an appetizer, cheese bites . My seven year old is in love with these and enjoyed every last one of them . I ordered the grilled salmon with bourbon glaze it was amazing . The salmon was cooked to perfection and the glaze was not too sweet . I paired it with broccoli casserole and corn . This was the best broccoli casserole I've eaten outside of home . My mom had the chicken and my son the chicken pot pie . Anthony took really great care of us . He gave us to go cups full of our beverage, which was a hit being we are staying in a local resort . The atmosphere was louder than any Cheddar's I've ever been in . Which was ok . Plenty of birthday gatherings were going on . The restroom was clean and the foyer was also despite the rain . I recommend this location and will be back if I'm in the area again . Job well done ! read more

Was looking forward to this meal but unfortunately we will never come back. After a very rude reception at the front desk we were seated. Waited for 10mins for drinks from the bar and over an hour for our food. The waitress kept coming out and apologizing for it not being ready. When the food did come the chicken was raw on our salad and the rest of the food was cold. Granted they did comp the meal w the raw chicken but when the waitress said she would get the manager they never came over. Cold food is one thing but over an hour wait for raw chicken is completely unacceptable. read more

Great service from our waitress named LaLa! The complementary croissant with dribbles of sweet butter were yummy. We had to order two more-even though there is an up charge of $1.99. Servings are very generous. We all three seniors went home with take home boxes for another meal. My sisters loved their chicken fried steak. My pork chops were nice-thick and cooked well. Not too tough. The broccoli was cooked just right, not overcooked. Unfortunately the green beans were quite mushy. We were happy diners. read more

Seating was quick, service from our waitress was excellent but the food that I received was horrible. The only thing scratch about cheddars scratch kitchen is that the poor food and waitstaff left me scratching my head. Let me explain. I took my family for dinner while we were visiting Orlando. Seven adults and two toddlers. The waiter was friendly and brought some free sugar bun to the table. After getting drink orders, the waiter disappeared. Thirty minutes later the drinks came. Fifteen minutes later our dinner orders were taken. My son and daughter in law asked that the toddlers meals come out with the appetizers. Of course they didn't. Another forty five minutes and the adult meals came out. Still no toddler meals. I then get angry. The waiter brought the kids meals more than 90 minutes after we arrived. Needless to say, we had cranky and hungry kids after a day at Disney. No restaurant with sense lacks an understanding of the needs of little kids. It shouldn't take 90 minutes to serve chicken nuggets. As for the meals, the pot pie was watery and the vegetables were badly undercooked. My rib eye steak was 80% fat. I took a picture of what I cut away and will attach if I can.clearly the rib roast wasn't trimmed properly. I ended up with less than ounces of meat. My son's ribeye was better. Oh, also the ribeye had no rim of cap steak. The best part was missing. Cheap cut and cheap meat. The order was medium rare but was serves seared and rare.. The side dishes- corn was canned and tasteless. I grow corn at home. It wasn't fresh corn. The carrots were good. The Italian beans were good but portion was 2 tablespoons at most. The biggest complaint - my pregnant vegetarian daughter ordered the vegetable plate. The menu clearly states that one gets a soup or salad plus four vegetable side dishes. The waiter insisted that you only get three dishes and the salad counts as one. I pushed back and he agreed to three vegetables plus the salad. WTF. Either change the menu or train staff. All in all. Poor food. Not from scratch. Canned or frozen vegetables. Poorly trained staff. And idiot me still tipped my usual 22%. Scott Rifkin, M.D. read more

Gorgeous restaurant. Never been before. I was expecting a Darden version of Applebee's but the atmosphere impresses. David the bartender was my server. Why was I the only one dining? The dining room was empty. Totally empty. Hmmm. Why are people not waiting to eat here? Oh! The food! Terrible. Cheese bites. Flavorless. Canned corn (either that or fresh frozen then overcooked). I should have selected something other than fried chicken and shrimp. Foolish on my part but it wasn't good. The chicken wasn't good quality. Chewy gristly breast meat. Flavorless flour coating. Delicious watermelon margarita. I'll go again and get a more proper meal. But for the aesthetic of the dining room, I was expecting something a lot better. Food is not good here. Will amend if my second visit is tastier. read more

I went here with my clients and wanted to try the food here, I enjoyed my meal tbh. The New Orleans pasta was delicious. It was one of the most sought after meals on the menu and I thought it was delicious. My clients seem to enjoy their salmon as they didn't quite say much of anything and one of my other clients decided to order the Cheddar cheeseburger with bacon fries and he ate everything. However one of my more sensible clients, said that the food smelled like a dirty dish water.I'm assuming that the plane was not coming to the best of its abilities and still had a bit of dish water scent to it.
