Both my pregnant fiancé and I ordered out two orders of drunken noodles. The food tasted off and the noodles were clumped and soggy. We both are now sick she having severe nausea and me with upset stomach and cramping since early morning. This is without a doubt from the food of this restaurant. Eat here at your own risk. We're found another gem in the city. I've had the Five-Spiced Pork Noodle, since I'm a bit under the radar. It was excellent and very flavorful; a good alternative to typical pho as the star anise added a great taste. We have been loyal customers to this local business but tonight's experience prompted a terrible review. We have supported this business through Covid with take out meals when businesses were struggling. Tonight we had a takeout order with a 2 foot long hair in one of the meals. When we contacted the restaurant notifying them of this hair, we were treated very poorly by the manager. She stated that we had to drive back to the restaurant for a refund. we explained that driving back on a night with icy roads and sun-zero temperatures was an unacceptable request. The manager was very very rude and eventually hung up on us. Do not support this business as there is better food in town with more appreciative people and no hair in the food!! read more

I can't believe I haven't reviewed this place before. I have been here plenty of times and every time I have a great experience. Its humble roots come from Fort Collins with an established and fantastic "cafe de Bangkok." I usually get the moo paloh, or kao ka moo. Both pork dishes, today I got the pineapple fried rice. Previously I have also had the yellow curry lunch which is a perfect size for lunch. The Tom kha gai is always on point. Sharable size with an entree. I usually take home leftovers but I was hungry today. The pineapple fried rice has a deliciously spicy and sweet flavors with the pineapple shrimp and cashews spiced with yellow curry. Delicious! I understand some people are wary of dining here post-name-change, but I assure you that, as a long-time regular, their food quality and service has remained as top-notch as ever. You see, I was born in Asia and grew up in Southern California, the region with the biggest concentration of Asians in America. I had Thai food every weekend as a kid and numerous Thai friends from childhood. I think I know a little something about Thai food. You see, in Eastern cultures, eating out is a social event. In a culture where sharing a delicious meal with your loved ones is the epitome of a bonding experience, bad food is seen as an insult. Thankfully, Thai Thai'm flatters, and does not offend, one's taste buds. Their mission is to provide access to delicious Thai food to an audience that's largely unfamiliar with and even intimidated by it, a ballsy move, by pricing it affordably. It manages to deliver gourmet-level food at reasonable prices and plentiful portions. It's menu selection is absolutely unparalleled and many items (this goes for the desserts especially) cannot be found within a 250-mile radius. Examples include the Duck Buns and Coconut Pandan Fondue. The recipes were developed after laborious and extensive experience in the tradition of the Thai Royal Kitchen and honed with exposure to international techniques. Despite such attention to detail, wait times for the food has actually sped up after the name-change while keeping the quality consistent--quite the opposite of a decline in quality! This food is of course paired with attentive and unobtrusive service. The wait staff is knowledgeable, and I have seen them happily explaining to first-timers and making recommendations to old-time regulars to help them get a better feel of the menu. So, if you were worried about declining food quality or service as a result of the name change, I hope I convinced you otherwise. This is a fantastic place for anyone who enjoys getting a lot of value for your money, as you certainly won't leave hungry. The intimate interiors make it ideal for special-occasions. So support local! Let's start with first impressions: the interior is fairly dated and vibes 1986 from the drywall texture, antique white walls, padded chairs, and dark wood veneered furniture. Our waitress was friendly enough, but I wouldn't say she embraced her position. Aside from taking our order, dropping off the food, and delivering the check we didn't get much attention (we also had to flag her down to get a few side orders that were missed). The food was the highest point of our visit. The jasmine rice was perfectly sticky. Plate presentation was simple and clean but lacked any of the artistry you might expect from other good Thai places. My dining partner ordered her dish a light medium heat and I ordered mine hot. We both agreed that her dish was leaps spicier than mine, so their final seasoning of dishes needs some calibration. read more

It's very nice inside and the staff is really friendly. The food is delicious! And the rice is served in a heart shape. This is the only place in Northern Colorado that has really good Thai curry. Wow! What a fantastic meal we had here with my Brother Robert! We started things of with a coconut mango delight blended with ice that had the perfect balance of flavor. Warning! Avoid scarfing this awesome drink to fast to avoid a brain freeze! Next we had the Golden Shrimp! Wow! Four Marinated Shrimp on wooden skewers wrapped in egg noodles & gently deep fried, served with a sweet chili sauce! Delicious! Feeling the need for a pre meal soup, I ordered the "Tom Kha Gai" An incredible blend of steamy Hot and sour coconut chicken goodness that complemented my main entree of Drunken Noodles "Pad Ke Mao" sautéed in a garlic chili sauce with vegetables & marinated shrimp! My brother likes the heat and spice so he went with the elevated hot "Tom Yum Gai" soup & main entree "Traditional Pad Thai" Noodle dish that looked amazing but his tolerance and desire for that scorching heat kept me from tasting. He assured me it was "fabulous" as he wiped his brow and tears of pleasure from his face! Mystery solved! Perhaps a better title for this review is "Good Too the last drop" or "Thia Thai'm? More like Too Thai'm!" For those that are lost, Too is the head chef that I, until recently, had not had the privilege of meeting. I returned to Thai Thai'm at the request of owner Yui and had a delicious and well-cooked meal. It turns out that my suspicions were partially right in that they had been training some new cooking staff both times I had been in and had less than perfect meals. Rest assured this place still has some decent cooking chops and Too can most definitely cook! My previous love of this place has only been elevated since sampling Too's cooking. To make this a fair review I again had the Tom Kha Gai and Pad Thai both of which were prepared perfectly. The proteins in my food were delicate and delicious, well seasoned and cooked to perfection. I have been to a lot of other places that precook their proteins to save time at the expense of the customer. This was most certainly not the case. The broth for my Tom Kha was thickened and did not become transparent toward the last few spoonfuls, evidence of cooking out the water from the coconut milk properly. There were several slices of fresh Thai bird chilis toward the bottom of the broth which provided spice but did not blow out my palate. The galangal, lime leaves, and lemongrass were fresh and aromatic and the hearty and flavorful dish proved perfect for a cool Colorado night. The Pad Thai was very well cooked and finally achieved the wok hei that I was looking for. The oils were cooked to the point of thickening on the noodles, it had just the right amount of sear on the noodles and chicken, the tamarind was pungent and earthy, and again the proteins were delicate and perfectly cooked. A bonus was the Thai iced tea that I hadn't ordered before but came out compliments of the owner Yui. Man was this thing good! I will be getting one of these next time to finish off a great meal made by Chef Too. I will say that the growing pains likely experienced with the name changes, etc will likely resolve fully over time but my biggest tip for all potential patrons would be to call and see if Chef Too is cooking before stopping in. You can be all but assured an amazing meal with him at the helm. Thank you very much to Yui and Chef Too for a great meal and for rekindling my love of your restaurant. read more

I've been curious about the Thai joint that back filled the vacancy left by Pho Lan's move. Today was the day I decided to investigate. The first and most obvious detail I noticed is the vastly improved decor. While not bursting with vibrant colors, it is warm and clean. Simple is the term that leaps to mind. The service is friendly. My waitress, while a bit stretched by the lunch crowd and lack of wingman, never let me think she had forgotten about me. Better still, she exuded an appreciation for her customers' business, unlike the indifference one can readily discern at some restaurants. I opted for the Chicken Yellow Curry as I usually do during my first visit to a Thai joint. Though I prefer the inclusion of carrots in my yellow curry dishes for additional texture and nutrition, it was still a very tasty dish. I especially appreciated the use of dark meat for that extra flavor the fattier parts of the chicken provide. I chased it with the obligatory Thai Iced Tea, because, well...because Thai Iced Tea. Thai Iced Tea needs no justification. Bangkok Cafe is a very nice place to placate your curry hunger. read more

Thai Thai'm is our favorite Thai restaurant (and my wife is Thai). We go there often and have recommended it to many others and have even taken friends to eat there. HOWEVER, today they struck out twice, unfortunately. We ordered take out and after I arrived home I realized that one of our two entrees was not in the bag which was stapled closed along with the receipt which correctly listed the order. So so called back and they acknowledged right away that they had forgotten to put the Nom Tuk in our bag and apologized and asked if I wanted to come back to get the rest of my order. I wasn't sure how to respond. I mean, of course I want the rest of my order or else my wife was going to be super hungry and angry. So I drove the 8 miles back to the restaurant where I was given the rest of my order and another "Sorry" and was even offered a Thai tea which I declined. I think Thai Thai'm should treat their regular customers or even a first-time customer way better than this. The offer of a discount or at least the Nom Tuk that I had to come for twice for free would have gone a long way. Now I'm not sure I will go back but if I order out from them again I will certainly make them show me every item I paid for before leaving. read more

Almost like Teriyaki Fried Rice. Glad that we found a place that we both enjoy! This is one of our favorite restaurants so we decided to have our Mother's Day meal here today. Unfortunately, the meal was VERY disappointing. :( First there was a mixup with my order. The menu says when you order curry that you can choose either rice or thai style noodles to accompany the curry so I ordered mine with noodles. About 25 minutes after we ordered someone came to the table to ask what kind of rice I wanted with my curry and I let them know that I didn't want rice and that I had ordered the noodles with mine. They said that they don't offer the noodles with the lunch serving because it's a huge portion of noodles but that is not stated on the menu anywhere. They wanted me to pick a rice instead of the noodles. I said that I really wanted noodles and that I'd just order something else with noodles off of the menu if I couldn't get noodles with the curry. They said that might be an issue if the kitchen had already started preparing my food which I think is ridiculous because the waiter took my order and never said a word about the noodles when I placed the order and then it took them 25 minutes to come out and talk to me about the issue. When she came back she had my order and had added a small bit of noodles to the plate and stated that she 'stole' some for with my curry. Then our food came (Pad Thai with Tofu Lunch Special, Drunken Noodle with Tofu Lunch Special and Massaman Curry with Tofu with Thai Noodles Lunch Special) and the portions were really skimpy and nothing tasted good. All of the sauce flavors were way off and bland and my curry had huge chunks of chicken instead of the tofu I had ordered. We let them know that the food was not good and they said that the dishwasher was being trained to cook, so I guess that explains it. They said that they had many orders sent back for the same reason today, so it wasn't just our food that was not good. The people at the table across from us overheard our conversation and told us they had the same issue and that they had sent their food back. I guess their replacement food wasn't any better as they left their full plates on the table. We've eaten here MANY times and the food is always amazing so this was really a shock. I hope this was a fluke as we've always loved this place. read more

The waitress who greeted me was very kind. No surprise, I was looking at the curries. I haven't been to a lot of Thai places that offer noodles as an option, in addition to rice (I mean as far as putting in the curry) but this place offered it and they were gluten-free noodles! This was one of the most flavorful green curries I've ever had. They even given you the option of having traditionally dark versus light chicken meat, not something I see a lot. Finally the level of spice was perfect. Almost every where else I've tried, the spice level is too weak or over the top but they seemed to get it and they delivered. I'll definitely be back. Some of the seating is bench with homey decorative pillows to cuddle up to, a nice touch that you don't find in most restaurants. Seems like a real authentic Thai place to me. I received chicken and I didn't feel like it was double portion my any means. when I called they basically told me I was lying and if I wanted to dispute it I'd have to bring it to them. there was not many vegetables in it all either. it did taste good though but 3 stars for the horrible customer service. read more
