I love me some Thai food. So I stopped in here because it's convenient on my grocery day and had some lunch. To start with, it's worth noting that the meals here run $11 - $14, rather than the more typical Chinese takeout joint price range of $8 - $11. This would be fine for a place with upscale food, like the Thai joint in Westport. Unfortunately, that isn't the case here. I had an order of what was advertised on the menu as 3 eggrolls for $6. I was hoping for 3 nice big eggrolls, but instead what was served was 4 tiny (think pinky finger sized) spring rolls. There was nothing wrong with them per se, but they were filled with only cabbage and carrots, and did not have meat in them. These were served with a nice sweet dipping sauce that was quite good. For my entree, I had the Thai noodles with shrimp from the "Chef's specialties" on the back of the menu. I asked for it hot, and with shrimp the entree was $14. It seems like the only source of heat on order for this dish was to simply use a lot of chili oil. While the flavor was good and the spice level was good, this meant the dish was very oily. Thankfully, Costco has well-maintained restrooms. The Thai Spice chef owes the Costco staff member who has to clean their restrooms an apology. The amount of oil in my entree literally turned my colon into a luge. The shrimp were fairly sparse for being $2 extra and at $14 total, I wasn't particularly thrilled by what were obviously frozen shrimp that hadn't been thawed slowly. All in all, I probably won't be back unless they either up the quality or lower the price. The service was good, food came out in entirely reasonable time, and the girls were right on top of my beverage. The restaurant was clean and in good shape. Had they used less oil on the entree and had it cost $9 - $11 instead of $14, I wouldn't easily given this place 4 stars. The quality/price ratio just doesn't stack up, and the amount of oil in the dish was an unforgivable culinary sin. read more

Passing through the area and wanted Thai after eating meat and potatoes over the past few days. This place was definitely worth the stop in all ways: prompt friendly service, short wait time, freshly prepared food, wonderful taste. Highly recommended. read more

I give it 4 stars because we went in to order and they were rushing around because they closed at 3. We had said 2 orders of spring rolls they brought us out 2 orders each so we sent one back in. We then ordered entrees and the chef had read one of our orders wrong so it took longer for one of the entrees to come out. Overall the restaurant was very clean, the food was good and the employees were nice. read more

Service is super friendly. The menu has a very helpful layout. The decor is modern with back lit fixtures. They have a very clean store and it has a good layout. The Pho was in a bowl as big as your head. I definitely got my money's worth. The flavor was on point. We ordered some sticky rice and it came to our table with Taro ice cream. read more

My family loves Thai food, we have been going to a place in Blue Springs for years. We wanted to try a new place so we tried the Thai Spice. We ordered green curry, it was OK. The food was fresh. However, the tofu was way overcooked, the curry didn't taste as reach as it should (water down?) very little Vegetables, very little rice! I do not like when restaurants cut corners for a buck $. For that, we will no go back to Thai Spice. read more

The food was so delicious and the service was fast! The place doesn't look like much from the outside, but the menu was extensive- so many choices. We will go back soon! read more

Food is good I was taken aback by how pricey it was. This is a little restaurant in a strip mall next to a nail salan. I really want to have a nicer facility when paying over $40 before tip for 2 adults to eat. I really wish I had read a review before going so I might have guessed how crazy high there prices are for what you get. Again food good but not better than I have done at home with a recipe at 1/3 the price. Ambiance is not worth what they charge. read more

we were concerned because they have one in lees summit good food but the quantity wasnt present. decided to try it. clean nice inside food was tasty good flavors we each shared our dish so we had three samplings quantity was better than lees summit location. we will return just fix your new signage blue taping it on the glass is sorta tacky. keep up appearances! tamarind chicken musselman curry veg rolls veg stir fry true on reviews prices are a bit high for strip mall location ie tasty thai is less expensive has daily specials lunch specials on the weekend so they need to lower or have specials completely agree with that but the taste was very good and we make our own thai food very comparable to other thai locations. read more

All I can say for now is Yumm. Fresh, delicious, fast and friendly. Try them you won't be disappointed. I will return. read more

I took my husband here for for a birthday lunch. Everything was delicious! I got the pad Thai, so yummy. The Korean wings were really good, very different flavor but I liked it. My husband got some kind of shrimp meal, it was also really good. Our server was not overly friendly but the food made up for it. We finished off our meal with two mango bubble teas to go. read more

Tasty Thai food, but I'm favoring a different Thai place since this one always seems to get my order wrong.

Tonight was my first time at Thai Spice and it is now officially my favorite Thai food in Kansas City. The menu is expansive and EVERYTHING sounds amazing. My group of four ordered the crab rangoon, red curry, black soy sauce noodles, yellow curry, and Thai spice fried rice. Everything was delicious. The crab rangoon had very thin wrappers and made for a lighter appetizer. Each entree was huge and allowed us to have enough to have some lunch for tomorrow. Basically GO HERE! read more

I have 2 Thai restaurants within a 1 mile vicinity of my house but I will drive 25 miles to come here. In my opinion Thai Spice is hands down the best Thai in the metro. Friendly staff, prompt service and priced well. read more

Always fresh, never disappointing. You can't go wrong with anything ordered on the menu. My mother is a picky eater and she's hooked on the Basil Fried Rice, crab wontons and spring rolls. The hot and sour soup they serve at lunch (if you hit the right day) is the best you'll ever have---it should be a staple on the menu HINT HINT HINT. They are a little shy with the heat, so if you like it hot--you gotta speak up or else you'll be disappointed. I frequent the Lees Summit location, so I expected nothing less from the gold star service I'm accustomed to--and I got it. read more

Great food, excellent service, very clean and inviting! The music played during our meal was so relaxing and I really enjoyed it, as so many places it's overwhelming. Its pricier than fast food, but its fresh and very good, so its worth more! I will definitely be back! Went back yesterday and was not disappointed. Excellent wonton soup! I really could eat here frequently. The fact that there is no MSG makes it even better since I have an allergy to it. We tried a couple of the desserts as well, and again, very enjoyable. The staff is very pleasant and know how to give good service. This remains a 5 star for me. read more

I've been to this place twice, and I like the quality of the food. I'm a dessert person, and I'm great fan of their Taro ice cream - it's a must try, I like their fried banana as well. Service was super friendly. read more

The food here is excellent. It's very fresh and well prepared. It's not gourmet food. It's not Arun's in Chicago. But you also don't pay Arun's prices. I think the food is priced very fairly. The service is excellent. These ladies are on top of things. And the food comes to the table very quickly. I recommend it. read more

Fast and friendly lunch service. Egg drop soup is spicy and delicious. Their Thai tea is sweet and refreshing. I ordered their island garlic chicken and is fresh and decent quality meat. read more

I ordered from here today and explained my diet restrictions and that i didn't want to eat meat and i explained that, when i received my food, i was assured that it didn't have meat, i got home and it had meat so i called and explained and she told me it's my fault and that there wasn't anything she could do and there was hair in the spring rolls read more

I had lunch today at Thai Spice and it was amazing! I have had Thai food before but nothing quite like this. I had Rama Chicken and Hot and Sour Soup, I wish I would've had another order to take home. The food is very fresh and perfectly spiced. You really should try Thai Spice, you won't be disappointed! read more

Tried this place for the first time for lunch yesterday , don't get me wrong the food was good very flavorful, for lunch though way way over priced , 13.95 for my meal for the beef& peppers with rice . You would think they would give you an egg roll or something for that price i think for lunch it should be cheaper for sure, i can understand if it was dinner time and my hubbys was 12 something and his was good too he said and he said same thing kinda pricy for lunch and you don't get anything with it but food was tasty & very clean and good service read more

We love Thai Spice. We order the beef pho almost every time, but it isn't on the menu on their website. It has great flavor. The Lee's Summit's pho is not as good as the Independence location. The crab Rangoon is light and fluffy with crisp wrappers. read more

Eh, that's what comes to mind about the food here. The curry was more like soup. And the flavor just wasn't there. The drunken noodle had good flavor but was dry AF. With the addition of more sauce this could have been an 3 star place. Online ordering made takeout very convenient. read more

Fabulous. We showed up late after a movie as the last customer and they we happy and welcoming. The waiter was helpful and happily repeated her comments if we didn't understand. The food was great with large portions. Don't forget the mango sticky rice for desert. Big enough for two and very good! read more

Traveling in the area and stopped here for carry out. I am a bit of a Thai food aficionado and can say that this place have the best Pad Thai I've ever had. Highly recommend! read more

We frequent this place for weekday lunches. Service is always quick and gets us in and out well within the hour we set aside for lunch. By now they know us when we walk in and don't even need to give us menus...they just know all our orders. The food is good and is very consistent. Some places can be hit or miss, but with Thai Spice you know you'll get good food and good service, which is why we keep coming back! The Cashew Chicken and Green Curry are both delicious, and the Pattaya Bay Seafood is another favorite! Hmmm..may have to go back for lunch today! read more

Service was great and food was excellent. I have the ginger delight with pork. Meat was tender, lots of yummy vegetables and fresh sliced ginger. Crab Rangoon was probably the best I have ever had. Not a good place for a large group. Quiet atmosphere. Will go back! read more

Every time I come I enjoy a new dish. This time is the curry fried rice with Chicken. The staff is knowable and friendly. They always make an adjustment to the spice level of each dish to cater to you needs. I highly recommend this place for your next date night. read more

Haven't had a bad thing yet. Highly recommend the Tiger Beef Salad with the Hot N Sour soup.

Only have been here for lunch. Ok food, friendly staff. "Thai" spicy apparently means they just dump more red pepper flakes on the dish. Curries have been tasty, but the vegetables sometimes are too soft. read more

Just opened, this is a second location for this restaurant and the food is just as good as the Lees Summit location. Destined to be my new favorite lunch destination! read more

I had tom yum soup and Basel chicken-shrimp fried rice both were delicious. Reasonable price, friendly staff and they kept checking if i enjoy my food. Definitely going back. read more

This place is slightly overpriced but the food is honestly delicious. Even the one time I made a random guess and ordered something that obviously isn't meant to wow anyone, the still really enjoyed it and was craving it a few days later. I just wish they had papaya salad. I really enjoy the drunken noodles and fried taro ice cream! read more

This place is disgusting. No flavor and you can tell the ingredients are old and frozen. Somehow they managed to screw up my order when asking for the only 2 soup items on the menu. I'll definitely make the extra 30 minute drive to Hot Basil next time. read more

Have been here twice & won't be the last. It is our favorite place in Lee's Summit, I can't believe we have not tried this place sooner! Thom yum soup is amazing, probably one of the best we've ever had. Usually it is too salty but not here, just soothing as can be. Pad kee mow w/ beef is savory, I've had it twice! Need to try some other dishes but that's my favorite Thai dish. Service is great, very attentive w/ a smile. Living in LS, it's nice not to travel to KC to get a great meal! read more

Great food! Could play some Thai music instead of bad pop songs!

This was the best fried rice and crab Rangoon I have ever had. 10/10 would recommend.
