Absolutely beautiful experience! Highly recommend. The food was amazing. We did the chef special (waiter explained this is an appetizer like portion) and the coconut and garlic naan. Ordered additional paneer and spring rolls and Tom kha soup. The Tom kha was our favorite along with the coconut naan. We were able to get a lagoon table due to a cancellation. Thank you for making our 30th wedding anniversary so special!

The atmosphere was great with scenery vibes as if I was in Thailand. The food tastes delicious with the presentation making it a 4/5 star.I would definitely recommend this joint.

Amazing atmosphere! Food was good! The atmosphere makes this place special! Each table has its own little hut. We were lucky to sit in a hut that was right on the water. The sun was setting and it was just marvelous. The food was good. If you are from the US, it's not the exact same as the Thai food that we are used to. It wasn't on the menu, but they made us a pad Thai dish and we also had a beef tenderloin. Both were fantastic. It was definitely a unique dining experience and I highly recommend!

My favorite place in Cancun! I came here nine years ago and knew I had to come back. Some of the best thai food I've ever had. The staff were so nice and attentive! It was so nice having the laguna right in front of us and we even saw jumping fish. Can't wait until my next visit.

Amazing views, great vibes and good food! I booked the outside "lagoon table" two weeks in advance for a Saturday night, it was so worth it. We had 180 degree views of the sea, and came in around sunset so it was beautiful. The food and drinks are definitely on the pricer side as it's located in the hotel zone - to give you a rough idea, the lamb chops were around $100 USD for 4 pieces. It tasted really good though. My personal fav was the Thai junoon, a refreshing, tasty drink! The servers were very attentive and enhanced the experience. I would recommend going to this place if it's in your budget. Came out to be around $100 usd per person for us.

This place is unbelievable. Beautiful ambiance on the bay with your own little "hut" on the water. We throughly enjoyed it here. The service was great and the food fantastic. Even if you're staying in an all inclusive resort, this is a place to go!

My sweetie loves Thai food and this restaurant seems to have high reviews so it was nice to have a family dinner along with our Son. We received a complimentary drink for being a guest at The Westin Lagunamar Ocean Resort. The restaurant's thick tropical setting alone is 5 stars. (We were given a spray bottle of bug repellent, if needed) We ordered: # 4 Satay Gai # 22 Tandoori Murch Tikka # 23 Somtam Goong Sod (medium spicy) # 51 Khao Soi # 54 Gai Goong Or Ruam Mixed (chicken & shrimp) Water Zinfandel Overall service was excellent. I found the meal good but the quantity for the price was disappointing. There are Thai restaurants in Toronto that leave this place a distant second.

I felt like I was somewhere in South East Asia when we stepped into this restaurant! A beautiful location overlooking the lagoon and a perfect spot to watch the sunset while having dinner. The menu was pricey but the Indian and Thai food were both solid. Bold popping spices with all the sweet, sour, salty flavors they are both famous for were there in every bite. Everything we ordered was so delicious. Loved this place!

What a beautiful, elegant restaurant this is. I stumbled upon it hidden in the luxury shopping mall in the Zona Hotelera and was disappointed to find out there were no upcoming dinner reservations available. However, we got lucky on a Friday night to snag a tiki hut with an amazing view of the sunset an hour before the next dinner reservation arrived. After eating Mexican food almost daily on this trip, eating Thai was a welcome break in taste profile. My mezcal and cucumber cocktail was strong but refreshing and the perfect accompaniment to admire the sunset. We shared spring rolls, papaya salad, and chicken skewers that were all prepared well although lacking in spice, but very overpriced. I guess a restaurant can charge whatever they want when they have prime real estate, and I'm not even mad about it. The view is worth every peso. If you are lucky to get one of the private tiki huts, you can choose to lounge on the couch or sit at the table- both were comfortable. The privacy of your own space is so coveted in these COVID-era days..The other tables in the restaurant are equally as private and well decorated, looking like bungalows hidden in a jungle. Service was excellent as well. Ambience is a solid 10/10. Food (I can only vouch for apps) 6/10. Drinks 8.5/10 Do yourself a favor and book a res around sunset if you're in Cancun, totally worth it, especially for a romantic date night or special occasion.

The food was delicious, they have the cutest over the water bungalows. We enjoyed all the food it was very flavorful no complaints. We ordered the dinner for two. It's a good thing we do not have large appetites because the portions were on the smaller side. We left content that the food was delicious!

Copying my review from the Elefanta Yelp page as I want to make sure people know! ----- The previous review stating this restaurant has closed is not correct on the Elefanta Yelp page BUT This restaurant still exists but has rebranded as Thai Cancun. Which actually makes the place even more amazing! You can choose either the Thai menu or the Indian or a mix and they help you make sure spice level is to your preference! The ambiance of the place is SO COOL. We sat in an elevated bungalow and ate the YUMMIEST Indian food! The appetizer of samosas was perfectly and full of flavor. Our server walked us through all the sauces and dips that came with our meals We got two paneer dishes to share that where amazing. Paneer Mahkani was silky and perfect. Tender paneer and fully of flavor and mild which my fiancé loved!! I got the paneer dish with mint and lentils and a sauce similar to Mahkani. It was AMAZING. Naan bread was light and perfect. The attention to flavors for all the dishes cannot be understated! We wish this place was in CT where we live but we will be back! That is a promise!

DEFINITELY ordered a variety at our table,....& everything was EXCEPTIONAL!!

Spent my 41st birthday here: This passed Sunday, & it was AMAZING!!! From the service to the food, to the atmosphere, and let's not forget the crafted cocktails,.......TOP TIER!!! I will visit this restaurant EVERY TIME I visit Cancun! It's a MUST!!

A local coming to check out what's for dinner.

Always a favorite when we visit Cancun. The food is excellent and very authentic. The service is impeccable. But ... the most outstanding piece is the ambiance. The huts and other seating areas are magical. We go back every year and are never disappointed.

Great food!! Love this Pad Thai, not being very sweet, with mixed flavors. The mango sticky rice is so good.

I was absolutely stunned how good my food was! I ordered the xx 2 boneless chicken thighs, grilled. The flavors were absolutely wonderful. I've never seen thighs on a thigh menu so I'm gonna say it is a fusion type dish. It came with sticky or jasmine rice but I upgraded to fried Thai rice. It was so flavorful. I think it had pineapple (not my preference) so I'd ask to leave that out next time. After a couple other dinner meal misses, I decided to come back a 2nd night. I got the red curry beef with jasmine rice. It was equally good. Highly recommend this place.

Food: We had ceviches, seafood tacos, octopus, seared ahi, salads, pork sandwich, margaritas, and wines. Everything was tender, perfectly seasoned, and fresh. Drinks were nicely balanced. Portions are plentiful. Fresh chips and salsas were delicious. Service: Both times, all servers here were attentive, friendly, and helpful. Quick, yet not rushed. Ambience: you don't get better than this, as it's right on the water. The view is the ocean. You're dining al fresco under a huge straw roof with a very Polynesian vibe. Side note: expect more Latin inspired flavors and dishes, not Thai nor Asian. If you keep that in mind, you'll love it. Highly recommend.

It is a bit more expensive than what you would expect in this part of the world, but compared to the US it's still a really good price. The staff was really friendly and all of them speak English. Oh, wait, AND THEY HAVE A CROCODILE!!! The restaurant is located at a Lagoon with lots of crocs. One of them is the resident croc of this restaurant. Pretty cool. I would definitely recommend eating here.

First of all the waiters barely speak English. This restaurant is located in the mall in an…read moreextremely touristy location so it'd be helpful for them to speak basic English especially considering that all other restaurants we dined at during our trip did speak basic English. The waiters were not particularly friendly. When we asked if they gave a welcome drink for staying at the hotel across the street, our waiter said yes and then tried to take our room key even when we asked for it back... Just an awkward and weird interaction that set the tone for the rest of the night. The first waiter couldn't finish taking our order since his English wasn't good so a second waiter came to take our order instead. I ordered the chicken skewer dish as my meal, and my boyfriend and friend ordered a seaweed salad as an appetizer to share and 4 sushi rolls. My chicken skewers came out first so I began eating thinking that the rest of the food would come out shortly. After I was half way done with my food three of the rolls came out. Still no seaweed salad. So finally my boyfriend asked the waiter and he went back to grab it. Not sure if they just forgot it completely or what but that should obviously have come out first out of everything we ordered. Then finally the last sushi roll came out and by that time I was completely finished with my food. Food is supposed to come out in a certain order, appetizers first and everyone's main course should come out together... Not too much to ask. Onto the food quality.. The sushi was just very mediocre. It didn't taste like they put a lot of effort into it. The salmon didn't look like salmon or taste like salmon. None of the sushi looked appetizing for that matter. Also the tempura shrimp in the tempura roll was completely cold which is odd because usually they make it fresh... The chicken skewers were the only positive to the entire experience at this restaurant. All in all, avoid this restaurant. Go next door to Thai, much better food quality and staff.
