5 fucking stars. Highly recommend. Order in advance this place is typically busy and for good reason.

Really enjoy this place. Wish they could make things a bit spicier. I always ask for extra spicy and it falls a bit short. But I have a height spice tolerance. read more

I love Thai. I attend Thai festivals and believe it is the best food when prepared right. We heard so much about this place it was worth a shot. The first time we went to try they were closed. Weird hours. Second time-too busy. Third time, also too busy but we were famished so we ordered take out. I would say decently disappointing. We ordered the crab wraps- I know them as Rangoons. The sauce was lacking and stuffing bland. I make better at home. So I wouldn't get those. We also ordered one of the soups. I say "one of" because it was regretfully forgettable. A chunk of tofu and no taste. I am glad I keep some Siracha in my "outing bag" can't leave home without it. So then I review our entree. When I first go to a Thai place I order the Pad Woon Sen. Always. Those noodles are something else. Thai peppers' were decent. But I won't be craving their take on the magic crystal noodles anytime soon. Sorry Lubbock. If this is as good as your Thai gets...you are severely missing out. You might be better off researching some recipes online and making your own spicy disasters. So between the prices being spot on-it's cheap for portion sizes, the food being sub-par, and the place being packed...I can't give more than three stars. I would give less, but out of the other Lubbock options it seems this is what you gotta settle for. Meh...I'll just whip up a Thai Omlette myself. read more

You can't place an order by phone because they only have one phone line. SO FRUSTRATING!!!

Best Thom Ka Gai soup I've ever had. Flavor was amazing spot on. I've eaten this soup all over the country and this was my favorite. My wife said her Yellow Curry was good also. read more

restaurant is very busy during a weekday dinner (during summer) though the food is not like expected. Noodles are over cooked and seasoning is way too sweet. Food serves are definitely not Thai. read more

Unable to order by phone. Unable to order on site. Staff rude. Not a good place to do business. Place will probably be shut down soon,

Dear Thai Pepper, Why do you have to be so hit and miss?! When you're a hit, you taste like glory glory hallelujah!! But when you miss, it really gives me trust issues. You know? Your crispy appetizers are always perfect and make me so happy. Sure, the wait staff can be distracted sometimes, but who can blame them? The crowds only confirm that you're the best!! But then... sometimes my noodles taste burnt. And that's not cool. Still, I got a Thai food sized hole in my heart and Thai pepper, you're the best fit. read more

Food is amazing but they keep their phone line open when they get busy which is very annoying. Hire more people or just say it's going to be a long wait. read more

I'm not a huge thai food fan, but when I'm craving chicken and rice- this is the place I go to! It's always really busy for a reason- the food is delicious and fresh. Me and my boyfriend are regulars here. We dine in and sometimes call in a to go order. There's normally a line, but that should tell you something if it's always busy. If you are really impatient, you probably won't enjoy it. But I can give an extra ten minutes of my time for food of high quality and taste. read more

I always love getting the chicken Pad Thai or chicken fried rice! Also the Hot and sour soup is the best! Major local spot!

I don't like that it's a $10 limit if paying by card. However the food is moderately priced and delicious. One of my favorites is the shrimp pad Thai and lo mein. Their Thai tea tastes different and is pretty yummy too. The sweet chili sauce and chips are pretty yummy too. read more

I freggin love this place!!!!! Chicken Pad Thai extra spicy with a squeeze of lime is off the chain. I'm hungry now

Fast and friendly service. Clean for being a very busy lunch day for them. My biggest and only complaint is the lack of shrimp and peanuts in the Pad Thai. Popular place for college students. read more

Great food, the only bad thing I have had from here is an egg roll. DO NOT GET THE EGG ROLLS! My only complaint (beside the egg rolls) is that the place is too small. If you go during lunch or dinner, it is a good idea to get there early. Expect to wait if you don't go early. read more

It's a hit and miss. Probably one of the better Thai places in Lubbock, but no where near good Thai food.

This is a great place. I travel all over and I've eaten at many Thai restaurants and I believe between this one and another I found in San Antonio these are my favorites and have the best Pad Thai of any other Thai place I've been to. They give you a appetizer of like a fried crunchy ting with a sweet almost duck-like sauce that is awesome. I have only had a couple of dishes here so I can only speak to those. I typically get the egg rolls and the pad Thai. This place is amazing, definitely check it out when you can. When: They do get crazy busy at lunchtime so keep that in mind and remember it's worth the wait! Where: it's in a strip mall next to Covenant Medical center down the street from Texas Tech. read more

Absolutely phenomenal food and a very friendly staff. One of the best local restaurants Lubbock has to offer. They stay pretty busy from open to close and with everyone trying to order on the phone it can be difficult to get in but it's well worth it. I would much rather give my business and money to this local family owned and operated restaurant over any Asian food chain or other such place. read more

The owners used to cook at Thai Thai on 50th....but the food tastes better, it's cleaner, and cheaper than any of the other 4 thai places in town. Been eating here since they opened, it's like our own little backyard kitchen, we always end up here if we can't decide, plus its close to campus. Pad thai is addictive... not authentic pad thai, this is a little sweeter, no lime or mix it yourself veggies/peanuts, but just as good. The secret is the tamarind sauce and sweet soy. My favortie is still the rad na, with jalapenos and extra gravy. All the soups and curries taste good. Best thing about the place is they don't upcharge you if u wanna change the protein from beef to chicken or pork....and you can specify how hot u want the food. Personally I think the chicken is like cardboard...always go for the beef. The free wonton chips is a nice touch, but they run out early. Don't forget to make your own dip at the sauce station in the back..a little fried garlic oil, some pickled jalapenos, soy and viola, ur own gourmet dip for chips Always a long wait so avoid the crowd and go early or late...they do take a break between 3-5pm. Cut the staff some slack since they are a family place...mom and pop in the kitchen, kids in the front...they could jack up the price and hire more people, but they did not do that to customers. LOL this is one of the few places we would actually come back to eat in Lubbock. read more

So far this is the best Thai food in Lubbock. I'm a huge fan of Pad Kee Mao (Drunken Chicken) and if you get their curries to go they ARE a little more like soups but It's okay because I save the leftover liquid and make my own curry chicken with it the next day with some rice and vegetables. Just because I stood there for a bit, If you go, it is a seat yourself establushment, even though it doesnt say that anywhere. The people in line are picking up to go orders, which from what I can tell is their main clientele. They had a TON of to go orders. If you like Thai food than this is your place to stop. read more

I LOVE THIS PLACE! You can't go wrong with the Fried Pork Wontons and Thai Tea! I normally get the Pad Thai...or Fried Rice...or Kool Special. The food is great! The space inside the restaurant is very small, and most of the time super packed. You can get the food to go or wait and grab a table when they become available. They've got a small staff who are all very nice, and do their best to wait the tables and take the orders as fast as they can in the packed facility. The food is moderately priced, and well worth it. Please note that lunch time is ALWAYS packed so if you go during lunch, be prepared to wait. read more

Love the Pad Thai. I've spent over an hour calling them 100+ times on a busy Friday night trying to get in an order and it's worth every second. read more

I love Thai Pepper! The yellow curry chicken is a piece of heaven. It can be almost like a soup if eaten with just a spoon. The chicken sa-tay is also amazing. I like take out, although the others aren't lying when they say that the kid at the front can be rude, but the food over shadows that by a milestone. Dining in however is good too because you get the crunch noodles. It's definitely a favorite. read more

It was a mimic of real pad thai...very oily, adding spice simply meant dumping crushed red pepper on top...it's pad thai, not pizza, right? I called in my order and was told 10-15 minutes. Got to the restaurant in 15 minutes and waited 15 more as once I paid, a minimum of 7 other people were assisted while my food sat. Egg rolls were good but cold when I ate when in the parking lot. Overall a waste of $20 in my opinion. Staff was friendly and conversational but unit as a whole seemed to be unorganized. read more

I lived in Lubbock for several years and always loved going here. Since I moved away, I'm still craving their Pad Thai. I haven't tried very many things off the menu because the Pad Thai is just that good. I went back last week while visiting and it's still just as good! Lunch time gets very busy, very fast. It's quite popular and is a "seat yourself" place. Refills on drinks don't come that quickly, but it's not that hard to get someone's attention to get more water. Overall, I'm still giving it 5 stars based on the food! read more

Get here a little early to eat, they're always a wait! One of fave plates to eat: chicken fried rice! They put an amazing mixture of rice together and put cucumbers in! Seriously amazing. read more

Get the Kool Special you will not regret it, but you may also crave it for the rest of your life.

Our favorite place to get Thai when we are in Lubbock. Food options are good with almost too much to eat on the portion sizes. The only knocks that keep it from getting 5 stars are: service can be hit or miss depending on how crowded it is, when overwhelmed the phone will ring and ring and ring and I have been on the opposite side of that where I try to get a to-go order only to have a busy line or no one picks up, the spiciness of the food is hit or miss where a medium plus one day comes out as a hot on the next or a mild another time. Those issues aside, we have learned to get to the restaurant right at opening time for lunch or dinner to make sure we can get a table and have good service. Can't go wrong with any of the curry dishes with a medium on the heat. Pad Thai and Pad Woon Sen are also decent; not the best I've had but definitely above average. read more

After traveling to Thailand last year, it's been a struggle finding a place that tastes like the real deal. So far this is the best pad Thai in Lubbock out of the ones I've tried. Also the volcano soup is sooo good as well as the sticky rice with custard. You have to try it for dessert! MY favorite!!!! My coworker got the fried rice today and she says 5 stars! read more

Always love this place. Food is always fantastic and worth the wait. In fact- I'm willing to bet that's the biggest complaint anyone has about it. It's SO GOOD that you do have to wait but I don't care. It's a universal known that you'll have to wait because it's so good and everyone wants it. Did I mention how good this place it? love it! read more

BEST PAD THAI I HAVE EVER HAD. I love this place. It's small and normally pretty busy, but the food is unbeatable! I also love the appetizer they give you beforehand, which I haven't seen at other thai places in Lbk. read more

Rudest people ever, they treat us very badly, they made us to wait super long time just because to waitress were arguing where we have to seat. I was so embarrassed in front my guests came from other state. They brought our food so late on purpose, because we asked them why you argue that long. We ordered 4 appetizers, they brought us 2, and they charged us 4 appetizers. read more

Food is good. Probably the best Thai in Lubbock. The green curry is the bomb. Definitely order your food to go, the restaurant is incredibly small and always full. read more

When they're open (always call first) they're excellent. Lunch time traffic is crazy but the food is worth it. It's been over 10 years since I've been going to Thai Pepper and it's still one of my favorite spots to stop at! read more

Small seating area, but great waiting staff! And it was the first time to try pad Thai ... was great!!

Pad Thai hot is the best also the chicken fried rice is really good! This is our usual Wednesday dinner night when we are kid free.

It's the best tHai in Lubbock. Thai kitchen is way worse, but for some reason has a higher rating.

Definitely the best place to get Thai food in Lubbock. Love their Pad Thai. Prices are decent as well

This is a great l little gem in Lubbock. What the restaurant lacks in size or seating it makes up for in taste. The restaurant was the best Thai food I have ever had. The servers were super helpful and it was super clean. Can't wait to go back and start making this a regular spot. read more
