We drove from the US to Windsor just to eat here because they have gluten free pad see ew. What an amazing restaurant! It's beautifully decorated, the service is amazing, and they can make almost everything gluten free. Their tamarind sauce, which they use on their pad thai, is so tasty that I know I'll crave it when we leave. We already plan to come back in a week. I got the curry noodles, which came in a large bowl. I enjoyed them immensely, but after tasting my daughter's pad see ew, I was determined to get it on our next visit. They have make your own stir fry, make your own noodle soup, a kids menu, and five desserts. They also have many different kinds of spring rolls. The chef also sells jars of his sauces. We will be back!

Crispy wontons

I haven't been here since it was across the street in the plaza; this was my first time here since then. It was a Friday night when we came, I thought it would be busy, considering the parking lot was nearly full. Walked inside and we're able to be seated within minutes. Then, waited about 5 more minutes until someone came to take our drink order, then our actual order, which was fine. I had ordered the Tofu & Veggie Pad Thai, and we shared some crispy wontons as a starter. When our appetizers came out, the wonton soup that my friend had ordered and the crispy wontons that my sister and I had ordered, were hot, and the dipping sauce was good! Finally our main meals came out, my Pad Thai and my sister and our friend both ordered the Chow Mein, which looked absolutely delicious. Our meals were hot, delicious and not spicy at all, we were asked how spicy we wanted our meals, I said not spicy at all. We finished our meals in good time and there was a large portion, so I brought some home for lunch the next day. Great atmosphere, great food, good company, bigger restaurant since they took over the church, I like it better at this location, bigger and more open concept and a lot brighter, I remember the old location being dark. This is a nice place to come to on a date or with some friends for some good Thai food, just mind the wait times.

Thai palace is absolutely one of my favourite places to go to. The food has consistently always been perfect and they are more than willing to accommodate if it isn't. The location has parking in the back, and a very warm vibe inside the restaurant. We always eat at the booths, and have never been disappointed. I got the five stars for spice level and it was no joke!

Tofu pad thai with extra broccoli ($2) and extra eggplant ($2).

Came with friends who have never been here. I was looking forward to the pad thai because I had a great memory of it from the last time I came. I got the tofu pad thai and added extra broccoli and eggplant. It's a $2 charge for each vegetable which I was fine with. But when the food came out, I was not fine with it. There was probably a 2/3 cup of broccoli and a 1/4 cup of eggplant so if you're charging me $2 for each vegetable, I expect to actually get my money's worth. The pad thai this time...sucked. My friends and I really like pad thai and they were excited too. But we all agreed it tasted closer to soy sauce than tomato or tamarind. There is a spice level up to five. I went with five which was not even the least bit spicy. My friends tried mine and they said it was a tiny bit with a spicy, tingly sensation. My total came to a little over $21. Yeah, I remembered that this place is overpriced but it sucked even more because I didn't get the amount of vegetables I paid for and to top it off, the pad thai sauce sucked today. I'd give this review a 2.5 but the service was really great. They are all very friendly and really kind.

Fried rice in a pineapple!

I love the food here. My family and I went for my brothers birthday and had a great time. The presentation(my boyfriends rice was served in a pineapple!) and taste are on point. Each dish came out perfectly and customized as we liked. Be warned that when they warn you about the spice scale, they are not kidding. Recommendations: Chicken Pad Thai, fresh spring rolls, or create your own bowls! Only downsides are that they will not let you rent the private room if you have small children (they are worried about their curtains being pulled down), and I was once seated on the patio... and forgotten about.

Have eaten here several times. The service is good and so is the food. You get good value for your money. Prices are reasonable.

Thai Lanxang Restaurant - Small but trendy

Recently visited this great little place on Howard Ave and I was not disappointed…read more The first thing you notice about Thai Lanxang is that despite its relatively small size it's very contemporary and chic. It's really a nice environment and atmosphere to sit in and though I wasn't sure how comfortable those chairs would be to sit on they were quite enjoyable for the time we were there. The first things we ordered were a couple of spring rolls and a bowl of wonton soup. The spring rolls arrived piping hot and were rolled very tightly. Really nice taste to them and I enjoyed the sweet chili sauce that accompanied them. The soup was really simple and nice. A light but tasty broth that didn't have too much (if any) of the oil you often see floating on the surface of wonton broth. We tried a range of food to get a good feel for the place and really weren't disappointed with anything that we ordered. The sushi, I have to say, might be the best sushi I've tasted in the area. It was extremely well done. I tried their spicy California roll, Philadelphia roll, and rainbow roll. One of the things I really like about California rolls is when they don't just throw a piece of cut crab-stick in the middle of it. These were nicely shredded bits of crab mixed with the avocado and cucumber - the texture was great. The rolls were also pretty big; nine nice sized pieces of sushi in each of the rolls. Entrees at the table consisted of Pad Thai, Lemon Chicken and Orange Chicken. All of them were prepared and presented very nicely. The lemon and orange sauce was very... well... lemony and orange. Really nice flavor to both of them and the sauce consistency was nice and sticky - not runny like you sometimes get. The Pad Thai was ordered medium and that was decently spicy but very good as well. This is definitely a place I'll go to again, especially for the sushi - in fact I could see me going here just for a sushi night it was that good. The only thing they need is their own signature sushi sauce!

I'm back! I came here again with the same friend from last time. Served by the same waitress but…read morelet's get to the food! Mild/Medium/Hot (spicy levels) I ordered a small Hot and Sour soup and Pad Thai (veggie, hot, asked for no peanuts). My friend ordered shrimp wraps and Pad Thai (tofu, medium, asked for no peanuts). Their hot and sour soup is fantastic here! It's not loaded with starch as it is in many Chinese restaurants. It was WAY better than their Tom Yum Shrimp soup I had the last time. My friend enjoyed his shrimp wraps and loved the peanut sauce (we think the sauce is okay but just plain crushed nuts on noodles is not really for us). My Pad Thai was spicier than it should have been because I had just finished downing my soup so the spiciness from that came was enhanced. I squeezed the lime that came with my Pad Thai on top of the noodles which tasted great but probably made it spicier (again). Bean sprouts accompanied my meal and small chili pepper flakes were throughout my noodles. Funny thing though, my udon from last time was TOO salty and my Pad Thai this time wasn't salty enough. But there was a salt shaker on our table so that solved things. My friend's Pad Thai was darker orange-red than mine from the tofu and the sauce that covered it. He really enjoyed his meal as he finished a good 15-minutes before me. I bumped my review up one star because I honestly do not mind trying new things at this location! Their Hot and Sour soup helped too :) I'll be back soon!
