I've been to a few locations of Thai BBQ and they're pretty much similar. They do get busy at holidays and parking is not always great but it is what it is. Lunch time on weekends is busy. Some employees are friendly and others not. The ambiance is okay. Mostly everyone is interested in eating the food. We always order beef satay, chicken curry, one of the noodles and Thai ice tea. I don't usually leave reviews but this is the first time I felt humiliated in a restaurant. I have been coming here for many years as it's a family favorite. Our server (older lady) was very polite. I made a mistake of asking the other female server (first time seeing this person) to take a picture of our family. She rudely replied "can't you see we are busy here'' and gave me a nasty stare. It's a generous helping of 8 satay sticks with their delicious rice, and I always always get extra peanut sauce because that sauce is so good on my satay AND rice! Update review: We were worried what this pandemic might do to this amazing restaurant and it's wonderful employees. Ordered lunch for Mother's Day and was thrilled to know there was over an hour wait and a line outside the door. That's how great their food and service is. May they continue to be blessed This place, the food and the staff never ever disappoints. They always accommodate our special requests. The BBQ spareribs is always so tender, fall off the bone soft. The Namsod is perfectly seasoned all the time. Our all time favorite is the Seafood A La Thai Coconut Soup. They're always generous with the portions and always greet us with a smile. I grew up on Thai BBQ. Honestly, you can never go wrong with Thai BBQ. Is it the best quality thai food? Probably not, but it's consistent, reliable, and affordable. We went bowling next door and decided to have family dinner afterwards here. This was my first time going to the Thai Original BBQ in Glendale (my OG is the Panorama City one), but I was still excited to eat some delicious food!! We ordered our faves, the S1 and S2 as well as the seafood soup. Everything came out quickly and without any problems. Usually, I get the seafood soup in a large metal container bowl where the fire goes through the center hole, but here it's just a pot (which was totally fine since it didn't affect the flavor or experience at all). I love their seafood soup, which is full of mushrooms, squid, fish, clams, and tomatoes. I also absolutellyyyy love their chicken and spare ribs but somehow their orange rice is the star of the show!! It's so good!!! We also got the thai teas which are, yes, very sweet and yes, mostly taste like half and half and sugar, BUT it reminds me of my childhood and it is DELICIOUS. read more

The pork was not bbq pork it was steam pork of some kind, it tasted like chicken, and the serving was not even enough for 2 people. The sweet and sour chicken was not that great either. I really do not like leaving a bad review. So, for the purpose of possibly helping someone avoid this location, I'm leaving this review. Do not eat here. It is not clean and the food was inedible. Shrimp salad came out with globs of boiled shrimp film all over the lettuce. It tasted off. It was also served with a bunch of stale ruffles chips on one side of the plate which was so odd. Parking: it shares a small lot with other office buildings so it could be pretty tricky on a busy day There's a good amount of seating in the restaurant. Thai Original BBQ (this specific location) has been a place my wife and her family have frequented for decades. Personally, I've visited maybe 10-15 times and each experience has been wonderful. I've tried a handful of items on their menu and have been satisfied with them all, some more than others. I would highly recommend the following: - Garlic Spare Ribs (ULTIMATE FAVORITE) - Shrimp Fried Rice - Crispy Duck - Pad Thai - Tom Yum Soup - Thai BBQ Chicken - Shrimp with Broccoli (FAVORITE) Make sure you get some extra sauce on the side. They'll make you pay for it but it's totally worth it. I would skip the Pad See Ew. Though it's one of my favorite noodle dishes, for some reason they can't quite get it right here. Keep an open mind as you're eating BBQ Thai food so it's a bit different than your traditional Thai dishes. It's also much lighter than Chinese food, which makes you feel less gross after eating. I went for lunch with a friend who comes here often. The place is really nice and clean. I like the green booths and the whole look. I am sitting in the restaurant while typing this review. I was shocked that they served our food cold! I told the server about it and her response was "Do you want me to "heat it up" for you?" To my surprise, they just put the food in the microwave! The only reason I know this for sure is that I took a bite of the chicken and they gave me my plate back the same way I gave it to them!!!! We were hungry so we ate the food. When I was eating , I noticed that some of the pieces were burnt! It was charred!!! I didn't want to complain again because the servers were rude and unfriendly. Went here over a week ago. This being one of our go to places as a choir after mass, we don't get too disappointed with the food and service. The restaurant is very accommodating with our large group of about 10 and we get our round of waters and orders in quick. Our food definitely comes in waves at a time x spending what you order. Seems like soup first, than the meat and rice dishes, and lastly the dishes with noodles. One of our friends always gets some form of noodle dish and they never seem to fail to give his meal as soon as the rest of us hit midway or more through our own. Everything tasted great and we all had a fun time just talking and laughing during the course of the meal, but our waiter was passive aggressive in telling us to make our way out after paying our bill and letting the food settle in as we conversed more. This place so close to home that when you are craving Thai it's a go to. The food are great but the service has gone bad to worse. We were seated and they made us wait to order, didn't even bother to tell us to wait I have to catch their attention and yelled at me "to wait". We ordered our food and was rushed to eat it. Good food is undeniable. We've been to this place many times and never been disappointed with all those visits. We always start our meal at this place with Tom Yum soup, the sweet and fresh smell of lemon grass and the delightful taste of the broth, is an explosion of wonderful flavors in your mouth. The Pad Thai consistently reaches our table as it is really good, peanuts can be ordered on the side for those who may have an allergic reaction to it. My dad used to take me to the Thai Original BBQ in Hollywood when I was a kid. So, I grew up on the S-1. I think this restaurant chain created the standard menu for Thai restaurants.
