After shopping in LIC we felt like Thai for dinner and stumbled upon Thai Money. The photos in reviews online peeked our interest but we had a slight sense of doubt due to the name "Thai Money" which for a Thai restaurant is a bit odd but still drove a few minutes to give it a try. Stepped into a half full restaurant Sunday night around 8:45 PM and was greeted by a friendly server who serves us with a smile the whole night. The food and dishes came promptly and looked very inviting, but just after a taste of each dish we were pleasantly surprised how great each and every dish was. They have Thai catfish cooked two different ways and it's actually imported from Thailand frozen which was a nice surprise as we usually do not see this offered at other Thai restaurants. Ordered the pad Thai with tofu - the tofu is amazing and we found this tofu nothing like other Thai restaurants with this being excellent in texture and flavor. The flavoring of the pad Thai is dead on as well. The ground pork stirfry is just amazing. Throw on the egg this and my mouth and was in heaven. Now, one of my favorite Thai restaurants in Brooklyn or Queens is Thai Money for sure. I'll put money on that!

My mother in law who is Thai and works in the restaurant industry actually recommended us to this restaurant so we knew it must be good. From the outside it looks to be very small but the space is much longer in the back with additional seating like bar stools and cafeteria tables in 3-4 rows. There's an open kitchen where you can see two elderly women cooking in the rear of the restaurant. Thai food in general tends to be on the pricey end with dishes ranging from $14-$40 depending on the protein and type of dish you order. I do have to say my in laws have pretty refined palettes and know when a Thai restaurant is good and they even gave this place a thumbs up which speaks volumes. Portions are normal butter catfish Mango salad was absolutely delicious and portion size was for sharing. I would recommend mixing most of your dishes before eating especially the salads since a lot of the dressing may be sitting at the bottom. Noodle soup dishes were actually very good and kid-friendly. My son absolutely loved the duck noodle soup with thin white noodles. Our kids were there so we had the chicken wings which were crispier in other restaurants and thr fishcake (Tod Mun) appetizer came with only 4 slices which is a tiny portion. My father in law enjoyed his Pad See Ew and he was a chef soi trust his opinion. There's only street parking but I got lucky and was able to park right in front but others parked half a block away so don't believe it would be hard if you avoid peak times.

The food gets a 5 star review but the ambience gets a 2... my friends and I came to eat here for an early dinner so maybe it was just a weird time and the staff wasn't really expecting to have many people eating in around 5 pm, but it was a little chaotic. People were moving furniture around and assembling tables and there were loud noises coming from the back... it was just a little distracting and hard to enjoy the meal. But the food was actually very good. As a vegetarian, I am glad to see almost an entire spread in the menu of vegan friendly options. Would go back to try other things off the menu, and just hope for better ambiance. PS- this place recently renamed to OneDee so the Google maps location for I Am Thai saying it's permanently closed is only partly true.

This restaurant supposed to be another location of Wondee Siam in Manhattan. I ordered most things I always like over there but food wasn't as good as another location. Don't give me wrong, overall food still good if not compare with the original place. I heard they opened not long ago, so maybe people who work they are new and more likely making mistake. At least it is good that a famous Thai restaurant now has location in Queens and closer to me house.

Went for lunch today, got chicken pad thai and beef pad thai. It was very good the spring roll and soup were also very good. Food came out very hot and was a great lunch portion.

    Salmon Foo Salad

The salmon Foo salad is like heaven! Although not much of a salmon taste but the crispyness is nimber one! The salad is thai style like party in the mouth, sour, sweet, salty, spicy! The best!

They've also updated the ambience, making it feel cozier. I spoke with Jacob, the assistant manager, about my previous experience and the complimentary meal that was promised regarding the cockroach incident. He said he needed to verify it with the manager or business owner, and after 10-15 minutes came back to let me know the owner approved 50% off the whole meal. While I appreciated the gesture, I did feel it fell a little short of what was originally promised as a full complimentary meal. What stood out most this visit was Jacob himself. He told me he vividly remembered my party from that night because he was the one who seated us -- and he sincerely apologized for what happened. That acknowledgment genuinely meant a lot. They also gifted me a free mug, which was a sweet touch. The food and atmosphere continue to impress, and the staff clearly cares. I just hope the follow-through on promises matches the warmth of the service going forward.

They definitely didn't tell me that lunch specials were available before I ordered my soup. Other than that, everyone is pleasant. Space: they have two sides, so plenty of space, but nights and weekends can get pretty packed, so keep that in mind. Food: I ordered Tom Yum soup and a lunch drunken noodle with a Thai iced tea. I only had the soup there and took the entire lunch special to go. Just based off of the soup, I will be going back. It was delicious and PACKED to the MAX! Writing this now, I can still imagine. Drunken Noodles were also really tasty. I like mine spicy and it could have been made spicier, but that's not even a real complaint. Also- the one next to me had this dish which reminded me of pad see ew but in a gravy. Looked delicious!! I will be back for whatever she had. Overall: the entire block is like a little Thai street. There are lots of Thai food options and I finally made it to Ayada. Super happy with my meal and excited to go back with some people and enjoy.

This spot is a 3-table operation focused entirely on perfecting Thai chicken rice--and they nailed it. The move here: The Chicken: Poached to absolute perfection. Tender, juicy, no fluff. The MVP: The chicken heart. It was so good I had to double down and order a second round. I am always a fan of these hyper specialist places because I figure if you only sell one dish it must be really good. The chicken is tender yet light on flavor, so the included sauces (one soy based and one chili sauce) are a must. However the rice was delicious and fragrant, a complementary pairing to the chicken. They also included some chicken gizzards and liver if you are a fan of those, but for me I could do with or without. Overall a solid place and worth a repeat visit in my book.
