Thai tea that my friend loved. Check out the straw wrapper decoration.

Kind, pleasant service. I love that the owner has the same employee working front of the house as I saw back in 2021. Dining area late afternoon on a Wednesday was empty and we were nicely attended. Split larb salad with my friend. It's not her jam but we both agreed it's fresh and nicely done. Seems prepared exactly as I've had elsewhere in Sac. I enjoyed my yellow curry asparagus chicken. Brown rice was enough for one person. My friend really liked her chicken vegetables dish. I recommend this spot. Love the full windows for this corner unit. No idea restroom condition or situ. Parking is fantastic. Place is clean, menus nice, all great. Note the restaurant is closed all day Tuesdays. Back-up plan if you forget is the mid-range quality sushi roll counter next door. But you can't beat the quality and taste at Thai Lao Cuisine!

Customer service and cleanliness is 10. Attentive, friendly and food was serve timely. The place is spacious and very clean. I was here first time with my daughter/mommy daughter day out. Our bill came around to $80++ for 2. 2 serving of white rice, Thai ice tea, jasmine hot tea, mango sticky rice dessert, shrimp rolls, pineapple red chicken curry and fried chicken. The menu is plenty but not necessary. The curry was expensive, small portion in my opinion. And, the friend chicken- no need to complicate it. I just wanted a regular flavorful fried chicken even at that price. I didn't like the inside of the chicken, it was stuffed- it didn't say stuffed fried chicken in the menu. Plus, I I had Thai food several time in Thailand. I'm accustomed to the taste. Nonetheless, I'm not measuring the food level here up to the authentic level served in Thailand. But I had better Thai food in other restaurants in US. To be fair, there's plenty other food on the menu to choose from , they may have been better a choice. If I may, keep it simple, fresh and flavorful. Memorable enough once it hits the tastebud you want to come again. Portion and price matters. Have a choice small and large, think that might help. Keep up with the excellent customer service and cleanliness. A little tweak to your menu, might do wonder. There's plenty of restaurants around, authentic ones are rare to find. Be one.

Drunken Noodles with chicken. Lots of long fettuccine style noodles and no flavor or spice.

Ordered to go just to give it a try while I was in the area. I absolutely love Drunken Noodles and these didn't hit the spot. Long fettuccine style noodles, no spice or flavor. Had to doctor it up a lot when I got home. I like the flat Thai rice noodles and dislike when Thai places use these long noodle. Customer service was good. Don't think I'll be back.

Excellent I would give ten stars if I could! The food is delicious and the service is great as well. A family friendly restaurant, everything fresh and seasoned to perfection. I have tried many Thai restaurants in the Citrus Heights and Sacramento area but choose this one everytime.

    Why is it so red?
    Chone F.

Got the Pad Thai with tofu and its so red! Like weird red and I ordered it not spicey so its not extra spice :( and tastes more like bbq sauce. Definitely different from their photos but now I see other people had the same problem. 3 stars becuase the Pineapple Fried Rice was good!

What a wonderful service and thank you for the complimentary Thai tea. I love the cleanliness and friendly service. Most people base their experience with the food, but to me the customer service is more important. If the service is wonderful, the food will definitely be wonderful and tasteful. Again thank you for your kind service and look forward to returning back!

We came here for lunch based on the Yelp reviews. Great beautiful place. Great service, but the food was not to our expectations. The only dish we liked was the papaya salad. 1. Lao Sausage- Bland and dry (Rating 1) 2. Larb Duck - So sweet, no rice powder. Does not taste like Laab (Rating 1) 3. Tom Yum Chicken- No umami or blend of sweet, sour & salty. It was just straight sweet. Never had Tom yum like that before and they add cabbage to their Tom yum. (Rating- 1) 4. Lao Papaya Salad. Very delicious. Blends with sweet, salty, sour & umami (Rating- 4). It could possibly be a 5 if the portion wasn't so little. I don't see why Lao flavors in this restaurant. We gave a 2 rating for the food and a 4.5 for the service.

I called and ordered for takeout. When I came in to pickup my order and pay for the food, the gentleman told me to next time to order online and save 10% on the bill. I ordered drunken noodles, mango curry, spring rolls and chicken satay. Drunken noodles: *** (ordered medium spicy and it was not spicy at all) Mango curry: ***** (great flavor with kick) Spring rolls: ***** ( great tasting) Chicken satay: **** (good flavor) Service and decor: ***** 22 out of 25 stars, earning 88% or 4 stars from me. I'll come back to explore the menu a little more.

I'm so disappointed I DoorDash this food. It was absolute garbage. I don't know what these reviews are talking about the pad Thai was nothing authentic. It was saucy and oversaturated. There was no fresh vegetables in it no lime no nothing no utensils no napkins and they literally give you dry. Cabbage with barely steamed shrimp as the shrimp rolls and some kind of weird house made sauce. This place is garbage and they're literally extorting people for money. I can't believe that people are rating this place four out of five stars. They're such better places than this crap I'm so disappointed it cost me over $40 to DoorDash two items and a Vietnamese coffee and it was garbage I thought maybe I was just emotional after the food so I even let my partner try it and he said it was nasty too I just don't get it how people are allowed to serve this kind of food to people and take their money and it's just bottom of the barrel. I'll be eating somewhere else. I literally could have went to somewhere that was closer off. DoorDash paid an extra $15 and had top-of-the-line food. This is ridiculous. These people need to do better.

    $15 small portion, sweet-and-sour stirfry

Nice clean restaurant, looks smalls but they have a lot of space inside. Ordered chicken satay, radna noodles n avocado chicken curry! Every dish was wonderful! Chicken satay was tasty and the dipping condiments were yummy! Beautiful presentation! Radna noodles were wide flat noods in a thick egg gravy with Chinese broccoli and chicken! Was very tasty and I asked for the spice rack to give it that extra kick! Only issue was with the avocado curry, it had PLENTY of vegetables and VERY LITTLE chicken. If I am paying a almost $20 for it, vegetables n chicken ratio should match. Staff was very nice and checked in on my friend and I Every 15 minutes. The menu is quite extensive! I am sure all the other dishes are just as tasty!

The woman at the front who took my order was very nice. I've dined in before and the tables are fully set up with all the necessary condiments, but today I just needed to get home and hope the food could do its thing. I ordered the pho gai, which is lighter and cleaner than the typical Vietnamese beef pho. The broth has a slightly fermented, deeply umami flavor, probably from fish sauce, along with lemongrass, chicken broth, chicken breast, and ginger. Perfect when you're stuck with a cold. It was packaged really well with chili oil, jalapeños, celery, lime, and the noodles on the side. There isn't a ton of chicken if you're looking for high protein, but I didn't care. It was so good and soothing. Nothing like sweating over a bowl of herbal soup while sick. I also ordered the Lao sausage, which has a great blend of aromatics, especially lemongrass. It comes with a sauce I'm not totally familiar with, but it's bright and limey, likely fish-sauce based, with something like charred pepper or tomato that almost reminds me of a Mexican salsa. So good. This place is awesome. I've only ever gotten soups here, but I definitely need to branch out and try more of the menu. Prices are very fair too. The soup alone was just under 1.5 liters so great bang for your buck.
