Truly excellent food! We will be coming here much more in the future. We ordered the thom kha soup, and it was the perfect combination of creamy coconut and tangy lemongrass and citrusy type flavor. We tried the duck which was amazing. The yellow curry was delicious. The Thai egg rolls are gluten free, made of fried rice paper, which is a nice change if you are used to missing out on such things. The Pad Thai is full of spicy flavor and they don't skimp on the peanuts. Good Thai iced tea and iced coffee with boba, and the portion sizes -- omg!!!!!!! Enormous! Left overs for days! The service deserves more than five stars, I felt well attended to and that the waitress actually cared very much that we had a good time and enjoyed our food. *be careful if you have a pineapple allergy. This has been our go-to Thai restaurant for over 3 years. It is not cheap, and so it should be good. The last two times, the food was terrible, and the very last time, it was almost inedible. I am writing this with the best intention that the owner read it and handle the situation, or else he is heading for disaster as a business. The food ingredients are simply bad quality, even the coconut milk had no flavor at all. No flavor is the hallmark; it's like hot, spicy stuff with no flavor whatsoever. The chili was hot but had no chili flavor. The chicken and shrimp had no taste other than just hot bulk material. We are Thai food lovers and even cook it ourselves, so this is a huge disappointment for us and all Simi Thai food lovers. My message to the owner: we loved your restaurant, please handle this issue -- order better quality ingredients and find a new cook who doesn't have to put sugar in everything to add taste. read more

I have eaten here in the past and it was always good. Last night, I introduced my fiancé to the place and she lives Thai food as much as I do so we were looking forward to a great meal. Well, we didn't get it at all. I called and ordered the food for pickup and my fiancé when to get the food. When we opened everything up and tasted it, we were very disappointed. We ordered silver noodle soup and besides very salty, we got so little broth, neither of us had enough for even a small bowl. It was all noodles and vegetables with very little broth. We ordered Pad Thai with chicken and it was ice cold and the chicken was tough. We ordered pineapple fried rice with shrimp and besides ice cold, the entire thing tasted like cilantro. It was covered in garnish and tasted like cilantro. The chicken satay appetizer was cold and the chicken had no taste to it. The sauce was good. My review kept going down the more I tried, unfortunately. Ordered broccoli pork with soy sauce noodles, cashew chicken, egg rolls, rice, and fried wontons. The wontons had... something in the center. Could never really make it out. The chicken had been cooked to a powder, and the pork didn't fare much better. The noodles had conggealed to the consistency of savory jello. The sauce included was actually just soup. Couldn't coat the back of a spoon soup, even. The rice was dried to the point it'd make for a great fried rice, so... I'm starting to guess it was pulled from the same bin. All this overcooking being done and SOMEHOW the vegetables turn out par cooked? Wild. This reminds me of the kind of meal prep I started making when I was sixteen. We were placing our order on Grubhub and my husband called the restaurant to ask a question about a menu item. The guy on the phone said to order on the restaurant website so it would be better quality control and less expensive. We canceled the Grubhub order and ordered from " their website ". This turned out to DoorDash delivery, they charged over $11.00 delivery fees, and $2.00 Driver Benefit. To top it all off, the suggested gratuity was for the grand total of the order( fees included!). When I called the restaurant to get clarification on their policies, I was told if I had picked it up there would be no extra charges. The Jungle Tour Curry with Coconut Milk (spice level Medium) is the best! I always order this or another Curry soup with chicken and it's enough for 2 meals. Just keep in mind Thai spice is much spicier than "spicey." I love spicey foods & so far I've only ordered up to Medium. The beef skewers appetizers with peanut sauce is also good. I've been avoiding Thai and Indian food in the vicinity due to there being more garbage than edible. Anyways, it was decided that we would give Thai Kitchen a spin. I was actually going to refuse to eat here, but caved and decided to keep it light with the Tofu soup. Yeah I know just Tofu soup, but it was really flavorful. Lady got some slimy noodle thing, tried it and although it was luscious...I don't do slime noodles. They're vegetarian and vegan friendly so that's super stellar of them to accommodate normal people. Had the Tom Kha with Shrimp, which was so so, not nearly as good as my local place, and mango sticky rice. That was where I had my biggest problem. The mangoes on both orders of sticky rice were old, brown, and mushy. They went into they trash. I also requested that utensils be included with my order, and none were packed. Wouldn't come back. We thought we had been here before and liked it but have been eating at Thai House a lot. The prices are pretty high for just being okay. The ingredients seemed quality but all of the dishes lacked flavor. The crab fried rice barely had any crab, lacked flavor and practically had an entire onion in it. I would never get that again. I go to this place when ever i can! Lunch is the best time, fyi check the hours before you go because they have a 2hr time (between 3pm and 5pm) when they are closed. I also just went ahead and took a picture of the hours and uploaded it as a photo, hopefully that will make it easier. I am a huge fan of the satay (chicken), pad thai (mmmm) and their thai iced coffee! I like when you show up enough somewhere and they start to know your face and basically what you are going to be ordering! We just ordered Thai Kitchen. Probably the best Thai place in Simi although Thai Cuisine is very good. Ordered egg drop soup, which I never order, wontons, shrimp suits, soy sauce noodles with Vegetables and the Chinese sausage fried rice. It was delicious. Best soup I have had in a long time. I did add a little soy, white pepper and sesame oil, but it was fresh and bright. The wontons and shrimp suits where crispy and the rice and noodle dishes are always good. Had to call and let them know. Please remember to call and let someone know you had a good meal. Our restaurants usually hear complaints.
