Edible but no..... Sorry this just isn't right. Thai chili sauce in everything making it all super sweet and not the flavors you are expecting from traditional dishes. Drunken noodles with Thai rice noodles (the kind you get in pad thai) was a good idea but the sauce was baddddd. MassamanCurry wasn't that Greta either and had like no sauce. Quality is ok though so at least it was edible but unfortunately, it was not something I wanted to actually eat and won't do it again. I can really only blame myself because I meant to order from Thai orchid knowing that it's good and ordered from here instead lol. read more

4.5 The food is amazing!!! Owner is very kind. I order take out on a somewhat regular basis... and was very excited when they delivered to my area. Worth the $5 charge! The only suggestion I would make is to have some seating option - I know space is very limited but maybe offer a couple tables (outdoor seating) when the weather is nice... read more

Best Thai food in Maine!! We have been eating here for years and never had a complaint. Kitchen is so clean!

We've ordered from Thai Kitchen several times and the food seems lackluster. I find some things far sweeter than I expect, and other times the sauces don't seem to have any distinguishable flavor or spicing, they are just "there." Mostly we find the food just "meh." If we are with a group that wants to order from Thai Kitchen, we do so, but we much prefer the other Thai restaurant (Thai Orchid) in town (which also has table service and an outstanding bartender/cocktails). read more

Food was great, big portion size of orange chicken. The service was fast was fast. The ambiance was chill and relaxed.

Consistently good Asian food with accommodating persons that are working there. It seems they aim to please and are extra attentive to each dish they prepare. If you love Thai- this is a must try and I am certain you will be a return customer. read more

This place is decent if you are on a budget. Cheapest place around for Thai. But the old saying is true "you get what you pay for." It's all a little lack luster in the flavor department. We jokingly call it "Thai garage" because the building may be an old garage. The service is quick. read more

Really not great and over priced for the quality. The pad Thai is really bad I couldn't even eat it, the noodles were soft, the tofu was tough, and the sauce was nasty. the service was fine but the food really ruins the whole experience, it's frustrating to spend that much just for yucky food that you can't eat:( read more

I gotta bring some harsh reality to light here: This place kinda sucks. Like I understand that it's the closest Thai food place to a college campus but that doesn't make it GOOD. When I say it sucks I mean the 2 times I went there in my college career I got chicken fried rice and the chicken was basically raw. CALL ME CRAZY but i don't think u cook chicken medium rare. Fried rice is pretty tough to mess up. Just drive the extra 3 minutes to Thai Orchid and save yourself from a bout of salmonella. Case closed. read more

Let me start by saying that what everyone likes in Asian food is very subjective. The food, for us, was too sweet to enjoy. The Tom Yum soup was sweet. The Pad Thai was sweet. The Papaya salad was sweet. Perhaps Thai Kitchen has learned that their clientele enjoy sweet thai food. In either case, we did not enjoy our food. On top of the sweetness issue, the Papaya Salad was dripping and soggy in its own sauce, the Pad Thai seemed sad and limp, and didn't come with any limes. On a positive note, the white rice was very good. If you prefer less sweet Asian food, try the Thai Orchid. read more

staff was very nice, but we were very unhappy with our food. the crab Rangoon's tasted off, and the pad Thai didn't taste the best. the noodles were very soggy and the chicken seemed to be soggy as well. we were unable to get past 3 bites. the food was packaged well and we got all that we ordered, but the price didn't match the quality. read more

the green curry is genuinely life changing it's so good. Fantastic food and friendly staff.

Thai Kitchen is my favorite Thai Restaurant in the northeast and its great that this restaurant was right near where I went to college! A year ago I relocated to Boston for work and being the Thai food fan I am I searched out the best Thai restaurants in the Boston area with the help of fellow Yelpers and Zagat and I have been unable to find anything to match Thai Kitchen in terms of price, quality, and authenticity. Every time I come through the Orono area I am sure to stop at Thai Kitchen and grab anything on the menu but my favorite is the Crispy Chicken Hot Basil with "Authentic Thai Spice!" I have tried most everything on the menu and the curries are the the best I can find anywhere. If you have a craving for Thai food in the Bangor area you must try this place! One thing to note though is that its take out only unfortunately. read more

Have been getting Thai Kitchen delivered for three years and everyone has always enjoyed their meals. Their crab rangoons are the best I have ever had so far! One person always gets Pad Thai and loves it, and a couple of us always get the red curry stir fry...which has amazing sauce! The delivery is always on time if not early, and nice people. read more

I couldn't wait to Yelp about this take out kitchen. I'm here from out of time and with the help of Yelp I chose to get lunch here, based on the positive reviews. There are about eight lunch specials but they will modify for vegetarians so I ended up with tofu green curry stir-fry, richly spiced and oh so good! There were both warm and cold spring rolls and 2 yummy dipping sauces. My food was prepared lovingly in about 12 minutes, and the sweet young woman at the counter chatted and smiled brightly which made it seem like a quick 2 minute wait. I found the nearby park by the river and ate under the shade at a picnic table. LIFE IS GOOD in Orono Maine in July with a belly full of Thai! read more

I tried this place after reading reviews on Yelp and I'm extremely disappointed. We ordered the pork pad si ew and the chicken broccoli stir fry, both very bland and they even got our order wrong because they gave us chicken in both. This is surprising because previous reviews claim this is the tastiest thai food around. The pad si ew tasted like wet cardboard and the stir fry had an extremely watered down oyster sauce taste. So hopefully for their sake, someone new forgot to season our food and this is an isolated incident. We ended up throwing it away and eating a banana and easy mac cup. Yes, it was that bad. read more

My husband and I tried Thai Kitchen tonight after reading the two reviews here, and we are glad we did. It is hard to find good Thai food in the greater Bangor area, and the ones we have tried do not taste authentic and are inconsistent in taste and quality of food. We tried the Crispy Chicken Hot Basil from Thai Kitchen, and it was delicious. Great flavor, just the right amount of heat, and a generous portion for the price. We also had some fresh Thai rolls, which were standard and yummy. This is a take-out only place, and it was bright and very clean inside. Staff was friendly and the wait was reasonable. We will definitely make Thai Kitchen our go-to Thai place. read more

Excellent meal from an owner from Bangkok. Having previously visited Thailand we can attest to the authentic tastes. This is worth the visit. read more

The tastiest and most reasonably priced Thai in the Orono area. Their offerings include the classic dishes (pad thai) and some innovative options (pae nang curry fried rice). They deliver which is convenient. read more

Food was way to hot! Ordered a level one and tasted like a five! This is the second time it's happened figured I would give them another shot but probably won't eat here again. read more

Tried this place for the first time today and was very pleased. Small seating area available if you don't want to carry out. The restaurant is clean and they have beautiful plants. The staff is very nice and generous. Food was great- their Thai iced tea is so yummy! We all definitely be back again. read more

Best Thai place in the Orono area. Sometimes inconsistent but when they get it right, THEY GET IT RIGHT

I ordered for delivery and they wouldn't even attempt to go to my house from a detour. Terrible service.

Great food, really quick delivery. $1 delivery fee, the cheapest around. We ordered the appetizer combo, which was okay but nothing exceptional. The yellow curry with scallops which was amazing, the potatoes and squash especially. I will be ordering yellow curried veggies regardless of what else we try next time. The show stopper was the sweet sticky rice with mango. My husband and I split one order and we both wanted more! The only thing that I wish were different: labels on the sauces would have helped us a lot. Our take out came with 7 different containers of sauces and liquids. We could clearly identify a few (coconut milk, peanut sauce, sweet and sour), the rest were a complete loss to us. We just rolled with it and dipped items in whatever we wanted, but some guidance would have been helpful. We will be ordering again! read more

Very fresh food and really great employees make this place shine. I've been a weekly customer for almost a year now and am always pleased with the food and service. read more

The delivery service was great. The food was quite tasty, albeit a bit salty and lacked enough fish in the meal I ordered.
