Gave Thai Kitchen another try only to find out it is under new management. Ordered Phad Thai and Gatee Thom Yum Gai coconut soup for 4 people. The Phad Thai noodles were in pieces (a spoon would have been better than a fork) with very little chicken, bean sprouts, green onions or spice; it also did not include the normal grated carrots and fresh bean sprouts on the side. Ordered a large Gatee Thom Yum Gai coconut soup which normally provides service for 4; not this time... much smaller and they are charging $8.99...Won't be going back :( .... Will go a head and make the drive to Sabi Thai in Melbourne; they have great food! read more

Well, the portions were huge so a few of us set aside half to prevent over-eating. But at the end of our lunch, every single plate was licked clean!! This restaurant really knows how to make delicious, flavorful dishes. They handled my numerous allergies and (cilantro!) very well and were careful with our parties' vegan/vegetarian limitations. Thai kitchen is my new favorite Thai restaurant. I was there for lunch with a friend, food was perfectly prepared, portions were just right, all ingredients fresh. Got sticky rice with mango for dessert and even that, was prepared to perfection. Prices were very reasonable and great service and ambience! read more

This is one of my favorite restaurants. Family run authentic Thai food. The mom is the cook and she really cares that people love her food. It would qualify for the "Diners Drive-Ins and Dives" so be prepared that the atmosphere is lacking but the who cares when the food is as good as theirs! Some of the best thai food my wife and I have ever had. We probably eat here at least once a month. Most of the time we will eat the thai style fried rice, stir fry with cashew or the pad see ew, all are excellent and I can't recommend one any more than another. Traveling from Orlando, home to Fort Lauderdale and found this place in Yelp. Gave them a try and was very pleased. Ordered Pad Thai and Thai Basil. Shrimp was cooked to perfection. We grabbed dinner at Thai Kitchen and were pleasantly surprised. We ordered plain half/half iced tea and it was SO good. Seriously some of the best iced tea I've ever had. We started with spring rolls, which were okay. We ordered panang chicken curry and basil chicken and requested fresh thai chilies be added to the basil dish. The panang was a little sweet for my taste, but still good. The basil chicken with fresh chilies was excellent! The service was great, although we were the only customers at the time. This is the best thai food I've had anywhere. I went here at least once a month when I was living in Melbourne. It's run by a husband, wife, and their now-teenage daughter. Everything I've tried has been good. My favorite is Thai Style Basil with chicken, but the Chicken and Rice is a close second. You get a spring roll, but if you're really hungry get the Shrimp in Bed as an appetizer. The Pad Thai is fantastic if you are dining with less adventurous eaters. You can control the spice level, but if you are a regular I'm pretty sure they decide for you. Once they decided to make mine super spicy and made an ordeal of bringing me rice and cucumbers to cool me down. We all had a good laugh. The prices are good and the atmosphere is worlds better than Thai Thai. They are closed on Thursdays and on other days they close fairly early (I think by 8) because it's really just the 3 of them that work there. You need to try it! read more

Mmmmm, again another awesome meal. The Pad Thai is totally awesome. If you want truly authentic Thai food that has so much flavor you need to eat at the Thai Kitchen. Friend saw great Yelp reviews and really wanted to try it out; then a local also had only great things to say, so we did. It was honestly really good food, especially for the price. Found out when I came to pick up my order that they sold the place to new owners. Very nice service and the remodelling looks good, however the food is nowhere near the prior owner's cooking. The gentleman working front of house told me that the recipes are the same and nothing has changed, however the Pad Thai is not similar in any way. We requested the food to be of medium spice level like usual, however the spices were included on the side for the customer to mix in, it resulted in tasting nothing but hot pepper flake, it over shadowed every flavor. I've tried every Thai place possible in the area, and it now compares to everything else. My husband and I are crushed! Also, orders no longer include a spring roll, kind of disappointing considering we ordered dinner portions. However, I'm assuming the new spring rolls won't be the same. So sad to see mom and her daughter leave, I loved them! Any way, I'll order again and see if anything gets closer to how it was before. read more
