Located on the main drag leading out of town toward Silverton, it seems popular. There is a small parking lot that we were fortunate enough to find spot close to the door. Upon entering, there is a counter to the left and seating to the right. The seating is bar style, along with tables and booths. My wife chose a chicken salad sandwich and I chose the ham and Gruyere sandwich. They come with, in my opnion, rather flavorless tortilla chips. However, my sandwich is really a panini, toasted on the outside. It was very flavorful with a crunch on the outside due to being toasted but a chewy inside due to the ham and cheese. Really, a great texture, in my opinion. My wife felt the cashier had a bit of an attitude when she needed one of the soda dispensers changed out due to be empty. Like he was put out. Overall, we did like Sage Fresh Eats and would come again.

This sandwich is truly epic. The wheat bread is from a local bakery. Instead of it being toasted in a perfunctory, afterthought manner, it is thoroughly toasted right at the point of the wheat kernels cracking, engendering the goodness only wheat can provide. The bacon is properly cooked, with no hint of undercooked slime present. The green chili tastes as though it was brought here this morning from Hatch, with the whole of the ingredients being uniquely fresh. Finally, the sriracha mayo sauce provides just the right presence of spice, uniquely accenting the green chili. Turkey itself is great, but I confess, is so overshadowed by the excellence present throughout the sandwich, that it hardly occupies the center stage. On another note, a definite problem here is that the water glass conveying a distinct taste of soap residue. It's bad. This happened the last time that I was here, as well. I did tell the owner about this today. Pricing is just right and seating can be awkward at times. I look forward to returning.

Maybe it is because I have eaten at some of the best Thai restaurants in the U.S. - LA, San Francisco, D.C., and outside the U.S. Unfortunately, I took the word of all these people who think this place is really good. Not! For starters they messed up my Pad Thai with tofu order by putting chicken on it. And I asked for mild (very mild) twice. Instead it was so spicy I could barely eat it. Also there were very few noodles or peanut sauce. It was mostly rice. Plus, the portion size was small. Considering I paid a dinner price, this was a rip off. But, most importantly a Thai restaurant not getting Pad Thai right is like an Italian restaurant not knowing how to make pasta. This was really disappointing, especially since I would have liked to have found a decent Thai place in the area. read more

Great food with a FRIENDLY staff- Right now I am eating the Pad Kee Mau, thai spicy. The portion is large, veggies are fresh and the flavor is amazing. Plus since I like it spicy I can actually still taste my food and it isn't overwhelmingly peppery like the other thai in town. They cook on a wok too so it's always fast and easy to grab and go during a short lunch break. It seems to me like Durango is in favor of the new flavor cause each time I have visited they seem to have good business. Give them a chance or you will be missing out on the best Thai in town! read more

What a fantastic surprise. I am from the east coast near major cities that have amazing food. I have longed for a quality Thai restaurant in Durango for quite some time and my longing has finally been fulfilled. You will not be disappointed! I enjoyed the house salad and Spicy Basil Beef. I also love thier soups on a cold day or if I am feeling under the weather. The Tom Kha Gai, is a coconut milk based soup with a lemon grass flavor, creating a creamy and slightly spicey soup. If a creamy soup isn't for you, I also like the Guay Tiaw. It's a brothy soup that has a bit more of a kick, I love this soup and it's something different yet familiar. The soups here definitely fall into the comfort food category for me, even though I didn't grow up with Thia food. So for me this is a "to go" place. I call my order in, yes thier menu is online, then I go get it. My order is usually ready when I get there and this is super convenient. Also I do this because the inside is small, and the chairs are tall, something I personally can't stand. But I love this place all the same.
