I'm so disappointed in this restaurant. I ate there once before with my teach for America friends and it was really good. I tried several time to come back during business hours and they were closed. Finally I caught them open this Monday and ordered the Tom kha kai soup. This was my first time ordering this soup from this place but I've had it before when I was living in China and was excited to get it here in the US. The guy asked me chicken or shrimp. I thought it was a veggie soup so I was surprised when he offered a protein. So I picked shrimp. When it was time to pay I saw that the price was different than the menu ( 8$). I asked him why was I charged an additional 4$ and he said for the shrimp ( which he offered and never said there was an up charge). I asked him if the chicken was an additional cost and he said no. So I ask why would he offer chicken or shrimp if there is an up charge for shrimp. Typically if somebody wanted an up charge they would ask for it. There was only 3 small shrimp in the less than one cup bowl of soup. Oh yeah and they didn't have mushrooms to serve in my soup. I'm so so disappointed and will not be back. read more

Myself and three of my friends are here after an Ole Miss football game. My first time. We drank some beers and asked Larry the owner to hook us up with whatever he recommended. We were not disappointed! Everything was delicious and unique. I would definitely visit again when I'm passing through. On a side note, I left my sunglasses there and called the next morning. I stumbled upon Thai Hut while passing through Como and was pleasantly surprised. When you walk in to the restaurant and bar, you would think you're in a much bigger town like Oxford, MS. It's a comfortable and stylish restaurant with friendly owners. I had pad thai and was pleased with the dish. The dishes were mostly $11 per plate which was more than I expected but the food was really good and service was fast. I am giving such a detailed review because I am the first. EAT HERE! We stayed across the street at The Como Inn and waited until our last day to eat here... HUGE mistake! Thai Hut is a major addition to the dining scene in Como and the surrounding area, giving the community a bona fide international option. This is not a cookie-cutter Chinese dive masquerading as something more exotic, nor is it in any way watered-down or inferior to Thai restaurants that one finds in a large city. Rather, this is an authentic, completely worthy Thai restaurant that would enrich the dining landscape in any locale, and this is why Thai Hut is such a windfall for the town of Como. I have had three selections from the menu, the Pad Thai, Drunken Shrimp, and Shrimp Fried Rice, and all were very good. Also, the Thai iced tea is delicious and must be tried despite the $3 price. Almost all entrees range from $8-$15 and portions are roughly medium-sized. All in all, it is a good value. The restaurant is located in a self-standing small brick building located across the street from the main business strip. The couple who own and run it, the wife/cook from Bangkok and the husband/host/waiter from San Diego (their story is very interesting and unlikely), have done wonders with it. The interior features charmingly dimmed lighting and pretty wood floors and bamboo stalks lining the walls. There even appears to be a small bar. It is amazing how much ambiance it has given the modest structure. Outside, despite the limited space, there is a small patio with a few tables. Parking could not be more convenient, right in front of the front door. read more

We stopped at this place for lunch on a road trip to avoid a fast food binge and WHAT A FIND! The owners are a couple who are passionate about what they do. The wife is the chef preparing authentic Thai cuisine, and the husband came out and talked to us about how the tomkha soup says a lot about the quality of the Thai food and he was right! Chicken pad Thai was off the chain and the perfect amount. The little town is quaint and a nice atmosphere as well! We'll be stopping by anytime we're in the neighborhood and wish it was closer to us! read more

Sorry this pace did not live up to the standard I was expecting based on the yelp reviews. The service was very, very bad. The gentleman who owns the place is the only waiter. Two tables of people left before they even got their drink orders taken because it took so long. Also, beware that the pad Thai is no vegan as he told me it was. It has a very heavy fish sauce. It smelled like rotten fish and we returned all three plates. We ordered fried rice, but wanted to leave the egg out. He told us that it wasn't possible to do that. I have eaten pad Thai many times made without egg. The check experience was bad as well. We wanted the check split two ways, but the man was so abrupt he walked off. Ten minutes later he came back with seven individual checks, which was wrong. When we finally got the checks, there was no way to know if it was correct as it only showed a total. I was so ready, I just paid it and left. Don't go would be my opinion, but maybe we are the the odd ones lol read more

Thai Hut has a nice atmosphere and is a clean well kept restaurant. Larry and Peach (the owners) are very friendly and will tell you all about Thailand and Thai traditions. Although the service can be a bit slow, the food makes up for it all. Please keep in mind Peach is the only one cooking the food. They always try to find the best quality ingredients for the food. Waited 21/2 hrs for our order to be taken. Have been overcharged in the past. While waiting to have order taken charged $28.00 for 6 bottles of beer. This was not right. Service was terrible. Buyer beware. Food is excellent and always has been. Look at your bill very carefully!! read more

We ate here while staying at the Como Inn across the street and could not have been more pleased. This is an authentic Thai experience in the midst of a small, Southern town. We had the pot stickers, the garlic chicken, and the spicy basil chicken, and this restaurant can go toe to toe with any big city restaurant. Thai restaurant in the middle of nowhere! Very descent and good authentic Thai food. A couple driving their motor home from San Diego decide to call Hernando MS their home town because of the local hospitality and the warmth. The chef is from Thailand, everything is gourmet and made in house. Even the sweet plum-pineapple dipping sauce is refreshing. Best in the neighborhood and even Memphis for that matter.
