Visiting my family and tried Thai house for the first time and loved it! We wish it was a little cooler as the outside patio seating is adorable. The panang curry says it is mild spice, but I would rate it as two chili peppers. The veggies and chicken were all cooked perfectly, not overdone, and the coconut milk broth was so flavorful! My parents like the sweet and sour chicken. Each plate was really enough for two servings. We will definitely be back. read more

What a lovely hole in the wall find. The service was quick and friendly. There were plenty of booth and table seatings available inside, but would recommend for smaller groups. The food portions were also on the smaller side, but the taste each dish packed with a punch! We ordered the papaya salad medium spice with shrimp paste. They had two options available to order - either chili and lime or flavored with shrimp paste (more southeastern authentic) which I loved. The sauce they paired the spring rolls with tasted like a sweet and salty tamarind - which was both unique and delicious. Their sizzling duck came out SIZZLING!! The sweet brown sauce and veggies were super flavorful. The duck was cooked with perfectly crispy skin/fat + melt in your mouth meat. Pad se Ew had great flavor, wasn't as oily as some other places I've tried - which is a plus, but they were on the softer/soggy side. I wish the portions were bigger and that there was more rice served with the protein, but overall - would love to go back! read more

A new to me spot not too far from my house. I love drunken noodles so I'm happy to have a spot not too far to get takeout or go dine in. They have a patio that's great or plenty of space inside. This is a go to place for date night. It's local and convenient and the food has always been good. Sometimes the service is a bit slow but we don't mind slowing down and just enjoying our evening without rushing. Food menu is extensive. Sometimes it's closed for a long period of time. The food was plentiful, fresh, and delicious. I had the Sesame Chicken, Pad See Ew, Thom Kha Soup, and the Appetizer Combo. Thom Kha Soup was excellent. Pad See Ew was fantastic Sesame Chicken was very good. The Combo Appetizer was excellent, but surprisingly sparse. The dining area was very nice and offered a comfortable ambience. Is wonderful to know that Lexington is expanding their choices of restaurants! Thai House is perfect for our little ol town. Smaller restaurant but the location is easy to find. I ordered the Larb and it was so good! Just like momma makes it! My husband order the Pho and it was very traditional. We enjoyed our orders. I'm excited to go back and try more from the menu. My husband and I had lunch here last week. Overall, our meals were hot and delicious, with very prompt service. The only downside to our experience was the condition of the ceiling adjacent to our table. The ceiling tiles were water stained and filthy. It appears there had been a leak in the ceiling that may never have been cleaned up/repaired. Moreover, the light fixture had what appeared to be remnants of black mold. Yuk. Needless to say, it was very unappetizing. To management: please make the necessary repairs to the ceiling. First time here. Honestly I was very desperate to find a good restaurant in this tiny town. I saw the 4.5 reviews here but unsure how accurate it is since I don't see any Asian restaurants here. I decided to give it try. It didn't disappoint me, it was good. If this place was in a Charlotte or greens would have given 3.5. Wish they made it more spicy although I requested 4/5. This is a spot we are so happy to have found in Lexington! We love thai food, as well as Chinese and Thai House Bistro can check both boxes. I have to say, I am someone who usually considers fried rice to be a throwaway item, ya know... bulk, filler. But when we order from here, that is the first thing on my list! It is insanely delicious- smoky, rich, little crispy actually fried bits- just the absolute best I have ever had so definitely try it if you order from these guys! We had one dud dish, the mango rice dessert, the mango was really crappy and therefore the dish wasn't good. IMO, I'd rather a restaurant just say we don't have the item available than use clearly lack luster ingredients to be able to serve so that is the one point away from perfect. My dream meal would be summer rolls, fried rice and any one of the various curries they offer. We really enjoy this place! read more
