Everytime I get take out from this place it is always super quick and delicious. Their portions are great and the food is too. We usually get spring rolls and two entrees. They give you two delicious cookies with cinnamon and cranberries (I believe) that I wish I knew the recipe for with your order. Or at least they have come in mine each time. Before trying Pad Thai here, my favorite was the Pad Thai at Table on the green in Pinehurst. Don't get me wrong, I still love them! Their Pad Thai though can be a little bit gloopy with too much peanut laden sauce. Tastes great but heavy. But at Thai fusion they make it a bit lighter and truly wonderful. The peanut is sprinkled over the top and you can apply lime to your own liking. I asked for it Thai hot but I think the chef must have decided it would overpower the dish because it came out quite hot but certainly not Thai hot. Not a problem though. I also ordered it with shrimp. These were the freshest shrimp I've had at a restaurant. They were cooked perfectly and best of all there were plenty of them. On to my wife's chicken larb. Well if there could be a dish to top what I ordered this would be it. A generous portion of ground chicken, so flavorful you will be addicted. I do not know what all these flavors were and in sure my wife does not need to know either. She is not a big fan of fish and I'm sure fish sauce or oyster sauce was in there somewhere. But there are also spices I could not discern. Anyways, if my wife had let me take her plate prisoner I might have been able to figure it out better. She did not offer me another taste and I think was prepared to stab my hand with her fork if I advanced. This is truly the best Thai for a variety of traditional dishes! We also love Thai Orchid in Aberdeen for the best duck ever! So try them as well. Oh and our waiter at Thai fusion was a very nice gentleman. Although we were looking for a quiet lunch. Last minute decision to come turned out to be pleasant and yummy dinner. We love Thai food this place didn't disappoint. They don't have many apps but that's ok since their portions are very generous. But we order spring rolls anyway and they were yummy. Nicely filled with veggies and super crispy. The sweet chili flake dipping sauce was good too. Weird that the dipping sauce came in a plastic pc cup. Hubby order the chicken Penang hot. He devoured most of it because we also ordered a Thai chicken fried rice (next time we will order it with Thai basil). I ordered the chicken Pad Thai and it was really good. The sauce was light but plentiful, lots of crushed peanuts and a good squeeze of lime made it superb. Can't wait to come back again. It's not a big place, maybe 10 tables. But very clean and bright. UPDATE****We've been here twice in the past month and both times we've been very disappointed! Tonight The noodles for the PadThai were again broken into 4"-5" pcs. You cannot get a pile of noodles on your fork!! I asked for very little scallions and by the time I was done there was at least 2 tablespoons of scallions. Hubby ordered the sesame chicken, it was awful! It was so salty with such an over powering flavor of teriyaki that it was hardly eatable. This is a cute little place on the other side of the Pinecroft shopping center in Taylortown. This place has been a favorite discovery of mine for a few years now. I love pad Thai, and theirs is amazing! This past Monday, we went and I decided to venture from my typical tofu pad Thai order, and try the drunken noodles. They did not disappoint! There were so many vegetables combined with tofu and noodles in a perfect amount of sauce. My husband ordered shrimp pad Thai and loved it as well. I tried the Tom Kha soup- which my mother was sure she wouldn't like because of the coconut, but one taste and she was sold. Very good. Mom got the Pad Thai , I got the Pad Wun Sen. I go to a lot of Asian restaurants, and honestly, it was alright. A little mild on spices, a little tame on vegetable choices but still well made, especially considering the generic and awful other local choices for inauthentic Asian food. I'm glad I live in Fayetteville with more choices, but for that area, I'd say the best I've had there. read more
