First time coming here and had the oppurtunity to try a few different things. It was very clean and not too busy. The staff was extremely friendly. This establishment is japanese that serves hibachi style. Bottom line had a great experience, food was fresh and amazing i expected atleast 1 thing to not be food but was honestly surprised all the food came out as if just made which was the best part. I will definitely be coming back to try out different menu items. Shrimp fried rice with chicken wings- this was honestly the best shrimp fried rice i have ever had. Shrimp was cooked perfectly and first time having a hibachi version which isnt as season n spice intensive as chinese rice. The chicken was pretty good seasoned just enough and the batter wasnt over fried which happens more often then not in alot of other asian places. Sesame chicken, fried rices with a side of veggies- seasame chicken was flavorful and slightly sweet. Fried rice is fried rice to me the side of veggies were made up of zucchinis and onion. Ended up mixing into the rice with some of the sesame chicken sauce and tasted amazing. Crab rangoons- this does in fact have crab inside of it (not sure if real or imitation). I know several places just have the filling minus the crab which i always thought was wierd. read more

I'm gonna be honest. I give two types of reviews, amazing ones, or terrible ones. This is the latter. Let's start with our order was completely incorrect except for one of the four dishes but even then was not like the picture. I brought home fried rice and ended up having to pull out my own wok to add....well everything because it was completely bland. I had to add egg, carrot, more soy sauce, oyster sauce, sriracha, and rice wine vinegar. It was surprisingly bland. I would have just made fried rice myself if I wanted to do that much work and clean up. My husbands hibachi chicken was just pan fried chicken. My kids were getting chicken tenders but instead got fried shrimp (also bland). I wanted to like it but I just couldn't. My husband took two bites, threw it away, and said he wasn't even hungry now and he will literally eat MREs if he is hungry sooooo..... read more

I have eaten here on many occasions . The people have always been very nice . Eat there so much they knew exactly how my wife orders hers ! Today however we ordered and upon arriving home began to eat my food a found a hair in my food that was twice as long as any found in my house ! My wife called them and they asked if we could bring food back down there . Upon walking in the door they began arguing that it was not anyone's hair that was there . Don't care it was in food , hair don't go in food ! Not happy at all ! Will not give them anymore business. Very unhappy. Didn't offer refund or new food . No apologies at all ! read more

They're quick, reasonably cheap and service is nice. And there's a big bottle of sriracha on the bar, so I'm happy. You can get your basic hibachi options here (steak, chicken, shrimp, scallops or veg), dumplings and one of my favorite guilty snacks - sugar biscuits. It's eat in (serve yourself style) or carry out and generally it's quiet. Bathrooms and facilities are very clean. Sadly, they no longer carry udon noodle soup. I guess there just wasn't enough demand in Sanford for it. They do offer a limited number of sushi rolls...which won't hurt you...but I'd just stick to the hibachi. It's the same thing you'll pay a good bit more for at Yamato's nearby, but with more actual meat and veggies on your plate. read more

Terrible experience. Placed order .was told it would take 15 minutes .Ran out to grab food from another restaurant. Returned in 20 minutes . Food not ready.Sat in restaurant for 20 additional minutes food still not ready. Left to deliver other food home 10 minuets later food was finally ready. This is definitely my quick fix for sushi rolls. I always get tempura shrimp wherever I go and to be an express place it was delicious. Hibachi was very good. Service was amazing from the little girl behind the counter! No complaints! read more

An OK place to grab lunch. I got the hibachi chicken lunch combo to go. The containing was full, got plenty of chicken, veggies (onions & some zucchini), and rice. The only problem is it didn't have much flavor for me. I got some ginger sauce which made it much better. The chicken was flat so I assuming that it was pressed on the grill. The veggies seemed like they were steamed rather than seeing anytime on the grill. The menu includes both Japanese and Chinese items. I'd be willing to give them another try. read more

I loved it ! My husband and I always order Singapore noodle, you should try it. It is spicy , but this place made it just right, I have ordered this dish in many other places and a lot of times its so spicy you can only get a few bites in before tears start coming out the eyes and then in other places it was bland and not enough spice. New Tokya Express made it perfect , keep this dish in mind, if you feel your coming down with a common cold any time I feel a common cold coming on I go order Singapore Noodle .. cold is gone! read more

Good place for hibachi. No frills type of place. Basic menu with focusing mainly on Hibachi with a few other options. Service is typically pretty quick. Everything is cooked fresh to order which is not always true for similar restaurants. The shrimp, streak and scallops are cooked well. The 2 times I've tried chicken it has been medicore. I only gave this place one star because I couldn't give it a zero star rating. Service sucked but the first clue should have been the poor lady I saw at the counter who after I placed my order discovered had been waiting 45 mins for some fried wontons. When she commented on her wait time the owner/operator chinese lady gave her a flippant "sorry" as if to say oh well take somewhere else. She also seemed other end I was waiting at the register figuring I had to take my tray once delivered to my table, with abject hostility she asked, can I help you ? Confused, I said, "I already ordered." She then says "well u don't need to wait up here." Lol lol oh well onto the food. I ordered a combo beef and chicken plate which may kill me later. The beef - like little rocks. The chicken- fried to hell hard as bricks and shaped like little brown ninja throwing stars and the rice and vegetables (onion and zucchini) I've eaten dried Elmer's glue in elementary school that had more flavor. Wish I could give a zero. Came in for lunch and I got chicken teriyaki with fried rice and my husband got beef and broccoli with a side of pork egg rolls. Inedible...all of it. And we have had some bad japanese food before. The rice was just brown mush and had no flavor at all. My chicken was super dry and I'm not even sure it was chicken. The onion and zucchini mix was probably the most edible thing on the plate, except for the fact that there was 5 strings of zucchini and the rest huge chunks of onion. My husband's beef and broccoli was also just as horrifying. The egg rolls were GRAY inside. We ate our 2 bites, threw it in the trash and are now enjoying the after effects of eating this terrible food. Thanks but no thanks. read more

I ordered the Singapore rice noodles and I was thinking it would be good based of of what I have heard about the place it would be decent at least but I have to say I was pretty disappointed and here's why when I opened it it look okay but then I smelled it and I have to say it smelled like dog food so I decided to take a bite of the chicken in it and I was met with a dry flavorless piece of meat and also the shrimp was tough and I couldn't even tell i was eating shrimp I thought it was just a chewy mess and the noodles were partially under cooked and a tad crunchy but I do have some good things to say about the place the people who I assume own it are very nice while they have what I think are there kids running around it kinda adds a family environment to the place but I gave two stars because this is my second bad experience at this place but I did consider the few good factors of the place read more
