In town for a family hospital visit we went looking for something good to eat and found this place on Yelp. The food was every bit as delicious as the Yelp reviews on here wrote about and the service was so fantastic. Our meal began with complimentary soup of the day. I chose a Bento box and hubs chose the 2 sushi roll special. He also got a sea weed salad. We also got complimentary spring rolls for checking in on Yelp! It was a lot of food and It was all delicious! The hibachi steak was so delicious! It had cabbage and veggies mixed in the box - The ginger salad complimented it all perfectly. The seaweed salad was spot on delicious. This hidden gem was a wonderful experience. The service was excellent and very attentive. It was a bit challenging to find as parking was a bit of a hassle. I enjoyed a few strong cocktails while having the Tom Yum soup, which was tasty. I ordered three sushi rolls, they were all delicious. One took me by surprise since it was just one big roll. Pretty messy and a minor challenge to eat, but I ate most of it. The plate I was served had a raised partition in the middle. I believe it would be better to serve a stacked sushi roll on a flat plate, by the time it got to me, a few scallops were already off to the side. That minor detail aside, I enjoyed everything. If I lived in the Triad, this establishment would certainly would certainly demand a recurring visit from me. Very spacious place, the booth we were in could fit 6 people easily. We chose the Sweet Chile Thai Roasted Chicken which had a very crispy skin, but the chicken was pretty dry, at least the breast was. It was still tasty, although I expected the sauce to be on the chicken versus just a cup on the side. The Drunken Noodles were also ordered and were fantastic. They may have had more thin shaved chicken than noodles! We finished up with Mango Sticky Rice which was different from most Thai restaurants. The rice had no visual grains of rice, so it was more of a ground rice, sticky paste, but it really good. I went out to Thai Harmony with a co-worker recently and we decided to check out Thai Harmony. I don't know Winston very well, so parking was a bit of a challenge, but I found the place eventually. We wanted to sit outside because the weather was so nice. They didn't have a very big patio, but there are a few tables outside with adequate shade. We ordered drinks and vegetarian summer rolls to start, which were cut into lovely bite size pieces, a nice detail that did not go overlooked. We also had a coupon for free spring rolls which they honored. I was excited to see that they had Khao Soi on the menu, a dish that I had once in Northern Thailand but haven't been able to find in the US since I've been back. It was very good, but slightly different from what I had in Chang Mai. For desert, I got a Thai Iced Tea Martini, which was sooo delicious and something that I definitely would order again. This is a review about a take-out order, so take it with that in mind. I was on a work trip in the area and needed a good dinner. I ordered the Kamikaze roll, the Tom Kha soup and the green curry chicken. All three were excellent. The soup had plenty of veggies, as promised, and the curry was very flavorful. Their wasabi is really fresh, and you can tell because it is STRONG. I may have accidentally cleared out my sinuses with my first bite. So good, though! I will say they tend to lean less spicy (in my opinion) so next time I would order "higher" on the scale. But, buyer beware in that department! It could have just been the items I picked. This is my favorite Thai restaurant in Winston Salem. The flavors are a little bit different from other Thai food that I was familiar with from Buffalo, NY but the service is always good here and the food is always good. They are located in downtown and is a frequent go to for lunch outings at work (we work at the edge of downtown so its an easy walk). There isn't a parking lot for this restaurant, so you have to do street parking or a downtown lot to come here. For lunch I usually got the 2 roll special. The rolls are consistently good here. The pineapple fried rice is a favorite of a couple people from work. All lunches come with soup and since it usually has chicken or is made with stock, they will ask if anyone wants an egg roll instead. They do get busy and since we would go there as a big group from work, sometimes it can take a little bit longer. They also have a lunch punch card to try and earn a free lunch. I've actually only come once for dinner with my sister. We ordered the fresh summer roll as a appetizer and they were sold out so we switched to the shrimp and crab spring roll. The rolls themselves were delicious, the sauce is made with cilantro which I don't like and they accommodated with some sweet and sour sauce for me. We also shared a shrimp Tom Kha soup which was good. We then ordered sushi - spider roll, salmon lover, reynolds tower, and sexy southern girl roll. The salmon lover was my favorite - a great value! the reynolds tower roll was my least favorite, this roll uses the Japanese pressing technique which makes the roll flat rather than round. I order mine at a level 1 spice (they have 5 levels) and then I ask for the chili paste & oil on the side so I can add more heat if I'm in the mood. Tonight my husband had the Thai fried rice with beef which was delicious. We did chicken pad Thai tonight, but I think we'll try it with beef next time, it was cooked perfectly. They make 2 of the top 5 soups I've ever eaten. Their Duck Noodle is a rich broth, with a crispy duck and really well cooked egg noodles. Tonight I had the Khan Soi Curry. Everything in this soup complements each other. From the chicken, to the apple, fried garlic and crispy strips. They top with green onion, cilantro and red onion which you rarely see in a soup, everyone always goes for the white onion. It all melts into the noodles which makes them super creamy and soft. So delicious! I was in town for the first time for an audition and was looking around on Yelp to find something to eat and I am so glad I stumbled upon Thai Harmony! When it comes to Thai food, I am definitely picky as I have a favorite place back home, but TH blew all my expectations out of the water! For appetizers, we ordered the Shrimp and Crab Spring Rolls on the advice of our server along with some Crab Rangoons. Both were absolutely delicious (a word I will be using multiple times in this review). The springs rolls were lightly covered in some kind of brown sauce and served with a bright green dipping sauce. I really wish I knew what either was because they tasted so good. The slight fishiness of the seafood went perfectly with the other umami flavors in the brown sauce. The crab rangoons were expertly fried, and unless I'm mistaken they seemed handmade and very tasty. The main reason I ended up choosing Thai Harmony was because they served one of my favorite Thai dishes, "khao soi" (which I cannot get anywhere back home). If you've never tried it, I cannot suggest it enough. There are some elements of a panang curry flavor profile, but other savory flavors (curry powder? turmeric? garlic?) are present, along with the richness of coconut milk and some unexpected green apple slices. I'd describe it as something of a Thai ramen equivalent because of the noodles, but even that is a disservice to the unique dish. Again, cannot suggest trying this dish enough if you're craving something savory, warm, and rich (but not too heavy!). If you're looking for something a little lighter, the dish my dining companion might be just what you're looking for. Listed as "Kaow Tom" on the menu, it was a light soup that packed a flavor punch! The ingredients are very simple but absolutely delicious and very comforting. She also had an order of the OBX roll, which was also delicious and fresh. Our server was prompt and helpful, the ambiance was classy and well-decorated, and overall it was a fantastic meal I will remember.
