Honestly... The best Thai food in Utah County and possibly all of Utah. I eat here 2-3 times a month and have never had a bad meal.

Masaman curry, I could eat you every day. The peanut flavor is so good! We got the pumpkin curry which is also good and has a little bite, but didn't have the full flavor of the Masaman. Great local place that has fast take out. read more

Was definitely a quiet night when we got seated in the back. Service was quick didn't even have my jacket off before my drink was being ordered. Chairs are large and bulky and mixed with the cement on the floor I felt embarrassed when I tried to shuffle the chair and the noise was overly loud. After finally getting seated I was pleasantly surprised at the simplicity of the menu and was not going to be over burdened with an overly large menu. We started off by ordering the pork spring rolls. They were brought out to us with a wonderfully light peanut and oil dripping sauce. The spring roll was the highlight of the night for me. I felt I could have ordered another plate of those and have been satisfied with my dinner. Half way through the rolls our main courses rolled out. My date ordered the pineapple fried rice and said it was the best thing she ever had and somehow managed to eat half the plate when normally she would eat a lot less than that. My dish was Plak Rad Prik ( fried salmon with sweet and sour vegatables and pineapple). This dish I had high expectations for but was let down when the salmon came out and was over cooked and dry slathered in the sauce which was way too sweet. Most of the flavor I expected from this dish were covered up in this sauce. The vegetables were properly cooked and the side of rice was done right but there was nothing I could do to reduce the sweetness I was getting on this dish. I was super excited to order the sweet rice and mango desert but due to the time of year they didn't have this dish available. Closing note about my visit was that overall I would still continue to eat there because normally the food is amazing. And the service is phenomenal. New dish of choice here is the Cashew Chicken - definitely worth trying. Most dishes still seem to have too much sauces, except sadly, not the Pad Thia which is fairly dry. Must be a hard one to master. Probably the best restaurant choice in the little strip off 1600 North though. read more

Excellent Thai food. Definitely the place to go in Utah County for Thai food. I've tried a number of appetizers, stir-fry dishes, curries, desserts, and it's all very good. They've expanded the restaurant through the wall of the adjacent building so it's spacious and doesn't feel cramped as it had before. The service is excellent too! Unbelievably slow, poor service. Not very clean, hair and food. 30 minutes to receive an appetizer. The food was good with the exception of the hair for the most part. They will charge you for extra rice and have raised entrée prices significantly. Unfortunately this long time favorite of ours most likely won't be seeing our business. read more

I lived in Thailand for a while, and I will tell you this is as close as you can get to the real deal. Every curry I've tried has been delicious. All things considered, it was very nice, which is the best way to put it. Not stellar, far from terrible. My friend and I went for dinner here and were pleasantly surprised. I've eaten at a couple of other Thai restaurants in the valley, and this is the best one so far (although not the best in Utah). The food was good. I ordered the green curry with pork(a personal favorite of mine), and it was excellent. The addition of the eggplant made it that much better. It was just the right level of spicy for me- I could eat it but it still burned a little- without me asking. My friend ordered something with shrimp, which he seemed to enjoy. I will say the portions were a little small, but filling. The price was acceptable, most everything was under $10. Service was excellent. We got there a half an hour before they closed, and they treated us like it was no problem. Service was attentive, except at the end when we were trying to pay and we had to walk up to the counter and give them our card, but I excuse that because we were the last people there and he was working on closing stuff. Please do not waste your money. Simple order of Chicken Pad Thai to go and it was terrible and over priced. Chicken was dry the noodles where bland and veggies well lets just say yuck. I ordered takeout, the Massaman Curry, Coconut Soup, and Chicken Pad Thai. The meal cost me about $30 and the portion sizes were larger than I expected, my husband and I had plenty of leftovers. The Chicken Pad Tai was was a bit bland but not bad. The Massaman Curry was very good, and the Coconut Soup was pretty good too. My order was ready in about 20 minutes. I've never eaten inside the restaurant, but all around not bad. read more

This place is fantastic! Having spent a month in Thailand I can say that this food is pretty dang close to the real thing. This restaurant has very attractive Decor. Good night I went it was quite popular almost packed. I asked the server for suggestions and he recommended something called Panang curry. when it came it turned to be a small bowl of soup you stuff with some tough beef in it. The server asked me how I like my food and I said I didn't really care for it all that much and he shrugged his shoulders. It didn't seem to bother them that I found my food unsatisfactory. Really great Thai food for a great price. I went during lunch hour and it was fairly busy, which really slowed things up. The ambience was noisy. I could literally hear every conversation in the room. The set up is a square room with tables mashed in. However, I wasn't there for a quiet meal so I didn't mind it. Seriously, the pumpkin curry at Thai Drift is my favorite meal of all times. The flavor is a perfect balance of spicy, sweet and savory. The portion size is well worth the $10. If 'pumpkin' throws you off....because it sounds weird....just try it! It is just delicious little chunks of a really yummy squash. The food was okay, but the service and atmosphere are lousy. They rushed us to order, then when we decided to take it to go instead of dining there, they forgot to put forks and napkins in the bag, and the food leaked out into a huge greasy puddle in the bag. I know Thai food better than any other type of food... And I honestly love the food here! Well-priced, great portions, fresh and served quickly. As good as the food in Thailand. They do get busy at times, but that is a good sign, right? They do a lot of things right here and I've never had to wait more than 10 minutes for food to be served. I like the customer service. The owner is always present, very kind and anxious for his customers to be satisfied. Every time I'm in town, I make it a point to visit. We usually get at least 4 dishes, giving us a variety and leaving a lot for leftovers. I've tried a lot of place and I would call this the Best Thai food in Utah!!! read more

I'm not sure what is wrong with restaurants in this area. I am a huge Thai food fan, in fact I love the Thai Drift Swift near my home in Lehi, but I don't understand the lack of quality customer service throughout Utah. I am a foodie but I don't have outrageous standards. Dinner last night at Thai Drift was another disappointment to add to a growing list. Dirty utensils on the floor, seated at a table with two full water refill bottles and one half full. Conserving, testing to see if I'm an optimist, or just trying to gross me out? Restaurant was not full or extremely busy, yet we sat for close to 20 minutes before any order was taken. Same thing happened with the last Thai restaurant I tried in Orem. It's not just the Thai venues, quality service at restaurants does not seem to exist in the area. Beat the greet, if busy at least acknowledge the customer and reassure them. Go online and watch a few John DeJulius courses and learn a thing or two about delivering customer service. I travel throughout the US and I don't routinely receive service like this anywhere else. In short, the food was okay but the quality is better at the swift location. Pad Thai was too sweet, panang curry was okay but would have been nice to have more than 5 small pieces of beef inside a beef panang. Lastly, don't serve my food and then make me wait to flag down a server to ask for utensils and napkins. Disgusted overall. read more

Really good Thai. I've only been twice and I haven't been disappointed. Both times were orders to go. Fast and courteous service. The papaya salad seemed a little small but otherwise very good. Went out to eat with my husband for a much needed date night. To our surprise what we need to do was turn the car around before we even parked their. We ordered Pad Thai and that meal only had noodles, a few pieces of chicken, and one green pepper. Our meal cost way to much for such little food and our waitress did not want to listen to our concerns. read more

This place was recommended to us by some friends, and we were glad we listened! Everything tasted excellent, I'm not a big coconut fan, but the way they cook with coconut is amazing, here I loved it. If you go you HAVE TO order the Mango Sticky Rice desert. I know, sounds weird, but one of the best deserts I've every had, and my wife talked about it for days afterward. The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars was due to how long it took to be served. It's a relatively small place, but there was only one waiter at the time.
