Soup comes with lunch plus two egg rolls

Awesome hole in the wall. I've been coming here for years. Nice clean seated quickly. Food made to order came out at different times but as always served nice and hot. Potstickers crispy and delicious. Rice of course enough for two meals. Less than 49 dollars for two meals appetizers and one drink. Staff packed up leftovers and bagged them for us.

Oct 2025 Pannang Noodles

05 Oct 2025 First time here. We don't usually do Thai food. Took the plunge today. Started with the potstickers, which were quite good. I think chicken and maybe pork filling, slightly fried served with soy sauce. I had the Pannang Noodles (fried noodles with curry sauce and I chose chicken). The husband had the Thai Light (supposedly not so spicy; had shrimp, sliced carrots, etc. He said it was a bit spicy). He ate it. Mine made my lips numb despite asking for just a '2' spice level. Ha, ha. It was still good. I should have taken the rest of the sauce to go. It would have been great over white rice tomorrow. Service was pretty good even though it started getting quite crowded about half an hour after we got there. We didn't get tea refills. Two servers on the floor. Also a healthy to-go business. Not a bad visit. Go there.

Crab Rangoon!!! Yum, Yum, YUM!!!

From the Chicken Satay & Crab meat Rangoons, to the Basil noodles with chicken, Pad Woodsen with Beef, Combination fried rice, & Panang noodle with crispy noodles! For over a decade this has been my favorite Thai restaurant in San Antonio. It's always robust, flavorful, and spiced perfectly. The curry bowls are my favorite. Green Curry Noodle has been my go to from the beginning. Their appetizers are amazing, soups are unbeatable, and sauces next level. I can't express enough how lucky we are to have Thai Dee in this city. The prices are affordable for the portion size, the service is always amazing, and the food always delivers. They are BYOB so you can bring your own beer or wine in at no additional fee. Don't skip out on this hidden gem.

I've been coming here since I was about 16, and now at 42 I still make a point to stop by anytime I'm in town. It's just as good as I remember. No frills, great vibe, welcoming atmosphere, and consistently great service. The food is always amazing!

Pork pad see ew. Superb.

TLDR: A hidden gem of a place that's apparently a quarter-century long staple for Thai food in San Antonio. Thai Dee is a nifty little spot with very attentive service and a unique atmosphere. It's nice when a restaurant is consistent, and this one's been so good that one of my dining companions has been coming here on and off for 20+ years! The three dishes tried were the pad woon sen, the pad kee mao, and the pad see eew. The woon sen is a little on the dry side, understandable as it's got mung bean noodles in it. The flat rice noodles in the other two dishes were excellent, and the kee mao had a zippy amount of spice in it! There are two items to keep in mind: 1) This restaurant is all hard surfaces, so it gets LOUD in here. 2) Parking is limited to around five spots and it's shared with a convenience store that *will* tow you, so check where you park! This place scores a 5 out of 5 on the 'CTJ Scale', as noted below. 5 out of 5 stars: Come-to-Jesus good. Would be OK passing away after finishing a plate here. 4 out of 5 stars: Come-to-Mary good. Would be OK having a nosh here with Mother Mary. 3 out of 5 stars: Come-to-Joseph good. Would be OK having a beer here with Jesus' Dad. 2 out of 5 stars: Come-to-the-Apostles good. Meh. Wouldn't have my last supper here. 1 out of 5 stars: Come-to-Nobody good. I wouldn't have my penultimate supper here, either.

I highly recommend Thai Dee! The menu features mouthwatering Thai fried rice with flavors and generous portions. The atmosphere is both pleasant and comfortable, making it a great spot for gathering with friends or family. A truly delightful dining experience from start to finish!

Pad See Ewe

Hole in the wall. You know how it goes. Those are usually IT. Ok. The vibe is immaculate. The decor and layout is comfortable and modern. Let me tell you right now I had one of the most flavorful Thai dishes here. I hate that I don't live in San Antonio to eat this on the regular but trust, I will be back. Juicy strips of meat, generous servings, hot and so fresh, perfect. 10/10 5 stars. A MUST MUST TRY. WOAH

Pad Woonsen

This place is a hidden gem! They have a great lunch special of a main entree and 2 vegetable eggrolls for $14!!! The staff were kind and attentive and the food was so wonderful. Definitely will be returning!

Vegetable fried rice Delicious!!! All veggies are made fresh!!!

The food is delicious and the staff is very friendly. It looks rough on the outside but it's pretty and cozy inside.

By far the best Thai restaurant in San Antonio. If I could afford it I would eat here twice a day, every day.

We started with the crab Rangoon, which turned out to be the highlight of the meal. They were folded into little pillows and fried to a nice golden brown. The temperature was perfect, and they were crispy without being greasy. The cream cheese filling was smooth and creamy, although I would have liked a little more crab. Still, a well-prepared appetizer and a good start. For my entrée, I went with the Panang curry and crispy noodles at our server's suggestion. I'd never had Panang served with fried noodles before, so I was interested in seeing how it worked. The chicken was thinly sliced, tender, and nicely cooked. Unfortunately, the rest of the dish didn't work nearly as well. The crispy noodles were hard and clumped together. There was very little curry sauce, which made it difficult to enjoy the noodles or even get a good sense of the curry's flavor. For me, the curry is what should bring everything together, and there simply wasn't enough of it. The plating caught my attention, but it also seemed to allow the food to cool off rather quickly. I appreciate a different approach to a familiar dish, but the balance just wasn't there. Service was friendly, but a little disorganized. Several servers came by to take drink and food orders that had already been placed. We found ourselves having to explain that someone had already taken care of us. When we asked for recommendations, our server quickly ran through her favorites, mostly naming items rather than explaining what made them worth trying. I would have appreciated a little more guidance, especially since her recommendation led me to something I hadn't tried before. The atmosphere was fairly ordinary. Nothing particularly wrong with the dining room, but nothing memorable either. With a name like Flying Tiger, I expected a little more personality. Overall, I saw some good technique in the kitchen. The Rangoon was fried properly, the chicken was tender, and the staff seemed willing to help. Unfortunately, the Panang curry missed the mark, and the service could have used better coordination. If you're visiting, the crab Rangoon is worth trying. As for the Panang curry, I'd consider skipping the crispy noodles based on my experience.

Walking in here reminded me of places we ate - the Texas sized Buddha made it easy to remember that we were still in Texas. The smells, the food, the service was very reminiscent of being in Thailand. Being Friday, we started with the potatoe soup (only available on Fridays). It was tasty even though there was nothing "Thai" about it. The large bowl fills 4 of the cups with a little left over. The crunchy wonton strips were hot, crispy with a nice sweet and sour sauce. The wife had pineapple fried rice, one of her favorites at any Thai restaurant, they did not disappoint. I had the chicken larb salad, medium spicy, and it delivered spice and the citrus acid from limes, very good. Portion sizes are generous. After the soup course, my wife and I are bringing about half of each entree for tomorrow lunch. Service was prompt and it's worth another visit, even at 45 minutes away from where I live. Pro Tip: scan the QR code at the table to get the menu. They don't keep their paper menus current with either prices or choices, probably the only knock I have against this place.

The location was central to San Antonio but not super close to us in Schertz. The sign and chili mascot are pretty neat looking. And the restaurant itself is super clean and decorated very well. The buffet area seemed to be like it would be well stocked. They have a dedicated to go area. We tried to order the cheese rolls without crab, because neither of us like it. Sadly they couldn't do it and I understand. We ordered the chicken wings and dang they were good. Six wings to an order with jalapeños on the side. Came out fresh from the fryer. Seasoned well. I ordered the 61 chicken pad kee mao, and they say it's served on a bed of lettuce and man do they mean a bed of lettuce. Very fresh veggies, super tasty noodles. We also ordered the sesame chicken and again super good meal. Very tasty. Very fresh. Very good sauce. Nothing bad to say of it. We were here on a Monday night and man it was slow. Only other table there and I think the waitstaff needed to be cut. Because they were bored. Super bored. It was a lady and a guy. The guy who I know said his name but I'm just a terrible human and I don't remember it. Either way a good place to try. I do not know if I would be coming back. I think there are better places in the area to eat.
