Panang Curry with chicken
Christina W.

This is my second visit. Last time we did take out. Today we ate inside. Both times I ordered the Pangang Curry with chicken. It's delicious and just the right amount of spicy. Hubby enjoyed the Basil Fried Rice with chicken. First time it had zero spice and he was so disappointed. Tonight they gave him a level five spice and he loved it so much. Thanks to our kind server for making it right. Large space for the dining room. Filled with tables in the middle and booths around the windows.

SM - RAW SPICY TUNA ROLL I/O - SM - SHRIMP TEMPURA ROLL I/O

the green curry was sooooo good and perfectly spicy! The shrimp tempura roll was the best roll we tried but was not anything special. The summer roll was perfectly light and refreshing. However, the spicy tuna roll was regrettable. I didn't finish it. The tuna was incredibly fishy and there was 4 times the rice than any filling. It was too spicy for my mom, but it was okay for me. I wouldn't recommend it. But everything else is pretty good. I would recommend just sticking to the Thai food because the sushi has varying quality. The ambiance is exactly what you would expect, but the servers are nice.

Ja Ka Prao seafood

Excellent authentic Thai food. We asked our server for her recommendation and had two items I had not had before. She said they were traditional home food. Hub got the plate with pork and I got mixed seafood w/ squid, scallops and shrimp. We tried out the various chili pastes and sauces. One was in a metal container with a spoon. Wow! It was like a toasted (?) that enhanced our food. Ka Prao with homemade spice oil.

Love their Chicken and Vegetable Basil Fried Rice! Great place with service! The pineapple fried rice is great too.

Papaya salad - could've used a little less lime, but still yummy

Y'all. I'm SO glad we found this restaurant because my boyfriend and I are new to the tri-cities area and the Asian food here hasn't been too great. I knew Thai Cuisine would be promising when I saw photos of different noodle dishes because they use the proper noodles, and they didn't look overly gooey. When you walk in, you can head straight to the host stand to get seated, but we were greeted immediately and sat in a booth by the window. We must've came at prime time because customers started trickling in after us. The restaurant was suddenly filling up a bit. We were greeted once that settled down. It seemed to be a family owned restaurant where one person provides all of the table service which later I found out to be true. Before ordering, we had to ask about their spice levels of course, which range from 1-5 like most restaurants. I mentioned other places in the area cooked their food way too mild, and expressed that I wanted our food way spicier, so they made it happen. Our server was really nice and accommodating, so we were able to get all of our food made "Thai spicy"! We started with the tom yum koong (lemongrass soup) and papaya salad. The tom yum soup was AMAZING! Their version is unique to other places because they make a creamy version which I absolutely love! As for the papaya salad, it was almost on par to what I'm used to back home. The sauce had a bit too much lime juice, but we doctored it up with more Thai chili powder (from the spice tray we were given) and it was perfect. Later on, we received our pork larb and drunken noodles with beef. We're used to larb coming with cabbage or lettuce on the side, but didn't mind that it came in a salad version. The meat was a little salty but still edible and delicious. The drunken noodles were absolutely amazing, but the beef was definitely too tough so I think we will get it with chicken next time. Other than that, the flavor was spot on and the spice was perfect! For desert, we had Thai tea and mango sticky rice. You have to try both! They're great for taming the heat from all the spicy foods. The mango sticky rice consists of sticky rice, coconut milk, sesame seeds, and fresh sliced mango. YUM! Thai Cuisine is easily my new favorite spot in the Tri-cities area! It's a casual family owned restaurant which authentic Thai food. Whether you've had Thai food before or not, this is definitely the best place to go to satisfy your cravings. We'll definitely be back since it's worth the drive from Johnson City!

R3 Basil Fried Rice with Tofu

This is a great spot for some delicious Thai food! My husband and I are working here from out of town and have been repeat customers since we tried Thai Cuisine! I keep ordering the same thing because its so good and made fresh every time, Tom Yum Soup and Thai Basil Fried Rice (with shrimp or just veggies depending on my mood). My husband really likes their Pad See Ew with chicken or shrimp. Warning-Their spice levels are really hot! I ordered medium spicy my first time (level 3/5) and it was HOT (still ate every bite lol). Now I order it level 1 which is good for me, my husband just gets his mild with spice on the side to amp up as needed. Enjoy!

When I say I'm a hard sell on Thai, so u really didn't expect much in a smaller less diverse community the Atlanta. Boy was I wrong! This place blew my local favorites out of the water. Most Thai restaurants I visit are overwhelmingly sweet and you miss out on the layers of spices. This place was a festival to my palette. You have to visit!

Most of the food was delicious and they do a great job of keeping the trays stocked. Grace took good care of us and we were stuffed by the time we left. It's a little pricy ($25 each) but the quality makes it worth it!

The restaurant and staff were typical Chinese vibe. I'll be honest, coming from NY, my expectations weren't high. I didn't even take pictures at first because I assumed there wouldn't be a review (and I usually won't post a negative one). When I tell you SHOCKED isn't even a strong enough word... I'm not kidding. We didn't want leftovers, so we ordered a few things to share. They brought kimchi and pickled cucumbers to the table. I'm not even a kimchi person, but this one was delicious; and the sweet, tangy cucumbers were fantastic. Wonton soup is always my barometer for good Chinese food. The broth was flavorful with just a little kick. The wontons were plump with filling and had a super thin wrapper-absolutely delicious. We tried both the egg roll and the spring roll-both spot on. The duck sauce and Chinese mustard were excellent too. For our main, we ordered General Tso's chicken (mild spice) with white rice. First of all... the platter was HUGE. Aside from being slightly spicier than I personally prefer, it was AMAZING. And yes...WHITE MEAT CHICKEN! Big chunks of juicy, crunchy chicken, large slices of onion (which I love), pieces of pepper, and a delicious sauce that coated everything perfectly. Halfway through the meal I realized I HAD to take a picture because this review was happening. This wasn't "good for Tennessee." This was genuinely DELICIOUS Chinese food. Yong Asian House-BRAVO!

This has got to be a prank. I think I've been punk'd. I…read moreordered a 1/2 soup and 1/2 sandwich combo, a fruit bowl, and a bowl of chicken noodle soup today from Panera. We received our order and the first thing out of the bag was the fruit bowl. The pictures showed strawberries, cantaloupe, and blueberries. Picture will be posted. No strawberries and very thinly sliced cantaloupe. Then I pull out the bbq 1/2 sandwich. There is only a very tiny amount of chicken on the middle of the half sandwich. Hey they put a good amount of bbq on there. Pictures posted on this as well. If this is the amount of food you get on the sandwiches there will be one less Panera bread customer. So I called thinking surely there was a mistake. Manage says we have measuring cups for the food and it was indeed correct. They didn't have strawberries for the fruit cup so they couldn't give any. No apologies, no added other fruit or more of one of the other fruits. When I stated the chicken was only in the middle part of the sandwich she stated once again they have measuring cups for that. I surely hope Panera is not that stingy with their food that comes at premium prices.. I'm telling you if I could give it a zero I would. I ate bbq bread, thin slices of cantaloupe and a few blueberries. Soup cups 1/2 full, I can only imagine they use measuring cups for that as well.. What little circle of chicken I did eat was ok. The 1/2 cup (bowl according to them) was warm and Thank Goodness my daughter was sick because the half "bowl/cup" would not have been enough otherwise. Absolutely do not recommend and won't be back.
