Everything I tried was excellent. I had the crab Rangoon and lard na. Best Thai I've had in a while.

Loved our food. Had egg rolls, the lemongrass chicken and the bbq pork. All of them were excellent. Will definitely be back!

The restaurant was not busy at this time - a few patrons at the bar and a few tables occupied. We were sat, greeted and served quickly. Upstairs featured seating near floor to ceiling windows which created a fun ambiance. There were a lot of wooden details in the decor that really made the place pop and feel more fun. The food was good. I really enjoyed the fish tacos and all the flavors in the toppings. It was also nice to see salmon tacos versus a fried white fish or tilapia. The house made queso is good goooood!! My daughter and I really enjoyed it. Their menu was so big between Asian and Mexican dishes it was a bit overwhelming. I think I would try another restaurant if in the area again but I lived close by I would probably come again.

His wife ordered the Nachos with Carnitas. Super flavorful with excellent chips. My wife loved her XO Scallops (I thought they were fishy smelling but the sauce it came with was exceptional). The dumplings were really good but were served barely warm. I liked my breakfast burrito with pork chili verde I got off the Brunch menu, but I've had better too. I would still come back and explore a lot of the menu.

The restaurant is beautifully decorated with green plants. I mentioned that it was my first time here and they suggested what dish I may like to try. Everything I tried by far is so delicous and tasty!! Food came out fast, service is excellent and the atmosphere of the restaurant is just a bonus. I would definitely come try more food!!

The Peanut House is a casual Thai restaurant in Hickory. There are various dishes on their menu,…read moreranging from noodles to rice to soup. The inside is clean and has a slight industrial look with bright red chairs for warmth. I thought the decorations inside were beautifully chosen. There is a decent amount of seating inside, but not a lot as the restaurant itself occupies a sort of small space in this plaza. The service was good! Food arrived in a timely manner and servers checked in on us often. We shared the Shrimp Tempura and I got Drunken Noodles. The Shrimp Tempura was really good! Each piece was fried to perfection and paired well with this sweet chili sauce. They were a bit thin though. As for the Drunken Noodles, I got it with chicken at a medium spice level. I will say that I was feeling the spice at a medium, which is what I usually get at Thai restaurants so be warned! I feel like there was a good chicken to noodle ratio in the dish. More chicken than I expected. The flavor was right as well, but the dish was too dry and a bit salty. There was like no sauce and I do not even like my noodles to have that much sauce but I was looking for it in this dish. An added plus about this spot is that their entrees come in generous portions. Overall, I would rate this spot a 3.5/5 stars. There are probably dishes on their menu that would have hit harder for me than the Drunken Noodles. This seems to be a solid spot for a small town like Hickory.
