Holy WOW! Small establishment in Homer- not a ton of seating but enough. Seat yourselves, they come take your order. The service was excellent! We started with apps- the Fresh Rolls (vegetarian/vegan) are done beautifully, but the star was the cilantro herb dressing/dip on the side was amazing- I tried to get the recipe but they weren't giving it up! I'd buy it by the bottle! The crab Rangoon were enjoyed (I don't eat them but two of the diners ate them all and loved them). The steam pork dumplings were delicious- tender, flavorful, not gummy at all. Light but filling! For main meals- Clear Tom Yum soup with shrimp: excellent flavor! Lots of shrimp and mushrooms and the perfect balance of heat and flavor. I adore good Tom Yum and struggle to find it on the Peninsula but this is one of the two best I've had worldwide. Pad Chow Mein- we got one chicken and one pork. The meat was a touch dry, but there was a decent amount of nice, light broth/sauce in the bottom. The noodles were perfect and tons of great veggies. Pad Prik Gluer Tofu- I'm not a tofu fan and even I loved this! The crispy shallots/onions were amazing (also needs to be sold by the buck!) and overall just killer flavor. Garlic Chicken- this one has some allergies so they made sure to leave off soy/gluten for us. The fried garlic on top was wonderful and the perfect texture addition, and everything was fresh and steamed perfectly. The Thai Iced Teas were fantastic as well, rich and creamy and still light. A simple Jasmine hot tea worked nicely for the rest of us. We will be back and will definitely be bringing friends. This place is amazing! Everything was fresh, hot and beautifully prepared and served! The calamari was unique, I was expecting rings , and instead had big slices. Tender and delicious. Next were eg rolls, piping hot, and full of cabbage and other veggies. I ordered the Ginger Chicken, not too spicy and they delivered exactly what I asked for. My Mom and I stopped by and placed a takeaway order of shrimp Pad Thai, Thai Tea, Thai cosmic egg rolls, and Tom Kha Gai. The tea, pad Thai and egg rolls had loads of flavor and were spot on, however, the Tom KHA Gai had so little in it, just a few large mushrooms with a side of jasmine Rice but the flavor was very good. Our lunch took about 20 minutes to come out and cost $52.00 with good sized portions. read more

Homer has a plethora of Thai food but Thai Cosmic is definitely high on the list for delicious flavor, generous portions, fast ordering, and an overall satisfying melt in your mouth Thai explosion. We've been here every day for the last 3 days and the meals have not disappointed. The Tom Yum Goong with rice noodles was rich, smooth and loaded with 7 huge shrimp! The pad Thai was very authentic and my wife who is vegan loved her tofu dishes. Don't expect to be waited on with full service but the food is on point and a must stop in Homer. Have to admit the name was a little strange. Given Homer's past history was nervous it was some old hippies making Tofu meals. Went there on a recommendation and are very glad we did. Had a great chicken Larb salad that we shared and excellent garlic chicken, fried pork belly, and chicken curry entrees. Heat levels were exactly what we ordered. The flavors were very good and our son was impressed with the Larb and said it reminded him of his time in Thailand. Wait staff was wonderful. Owner and Chef Pam, has really put together a delicious menu of sampling's from her home region of Thailand. The flavor palettes are a delight to experience and medium heat was spot on. Her hand made dumplings are delicate and delicious. We had massaman curry and pineapple fried rice with cashews... and a Pad Prik Gluer Pork Belly dish that had us cleaning our plate for every last morsel. It felt like I was back on the Mae Hong Son loop, stopping for some food after a long day on the scooter. This place is a authentic as it gets with Thai cuisine, and it's a welcomed surprise in Homer. After a long day of fishing, the Beef Noodle Soup was magic. We also order pork larb, and an incredible Pad Cha Chicken. The use of fresh young green peppercorns and galingale was spot on. Thai food is comfort food, so do yourself a favor and go here, and get a plate of comfort. read more

I haven't been to Homer in a few years, and the Cosmic Kitchen is now the Thai Cosmic Kitchen! The smells were quite enticing as we walked in and found a table. This is an order-at-the-counter system, so do note that they won't come to your table to take your order. The service was friendly and we received the food quickly. I didn't really have any expectations about the quality of food to come, but I will say that I was pleasantly surprised once everyone started digging in. The Pad See Ew was better than most I've had in Anchorage. Often the wide noodles of Thai restauranta will be just a shade off of mush in consistency, but TCK nailed it. The presentation was great! The food was beautiful, but tasted too sweet and was a slimy consistency. They had to remake 2 of 4 people's entrees after mixing up the heat levels. Only one person in our party enjoyed their order. There are other, better, local Thai options in Homer. read more

Best Thai food I have had outside of Thailand. As a vegan, there were so many options. Loved that all the dishes had so many veggies and lots of Tofu. The tofu was so perfectly cooked with great texture. Plus the lady that helped us was so friendly and the food came out super quick. I will definitely be back next trip to Homer. read more

Delicious! Got the Chicken Pad See Ew with medium spice. It had perfectly cooked noodles, no mushy noodle mess, and the heat was spot on. The Creamy Tom yum Koong noodle soup Hot was comfort in a bowl plus seven large shrimp made certain it was a filling dish. Where to begin... There isn't table side service which is fine but we didn't know that. So we sat there waiting for someone to take our order. After sitting there a while we let them know we were ready to order (as they walked by) and they said to go to the register. I'm pretty sure the young man who worked the register may have autism or Aspergers - I recognize it because of family members who have it ... but not sure other customers would know. This young man was yelling at customers, was irritated at answering questions and at one point he chased a customer out of the restaurant while screaming at her. His family later showed up and he was yelling / crying to them about how a customer was rude to him. I felt bad for him because I feel like a stressful restaurant serving customers might not be the best environment for him. Now to the food: My husband ordered Thai basil duck but they were out of duck. So he ordered it with beef - which we figured it would be strips of steak but it was made with ground hamburger. I've never seen Thai basil made with ground beef. My husband couldn't eat it. I get this is Homer and food here is expensive but we got tiny portions which were super expensive - served in plastic to-go containers. This is a newer eatery in Homer, where Cosmic Kitchen used to be. We ate lunch here. The food was outstanding! You never know with Thai food. Fresh, flavorful and they nailed the spices (mild for me, medium for my husband). Credit must be given for being one of the only locations open in Homer for lunch on a Monday and while we were grateful to have found it, it was just okay. The food was good for a famished group but overall we felt the spicing and flavors were subpar. We waited about 45 minutes for our meal and had to wipe down tables on our own to be able to eat. It's clear that the Homer area, as with most places around the country, are struggling to find and keep servers. There was a small error with our order and the kitchen did fix it very quickly. The staff overall was very nice and were clearly doing their best. Just a note that the restaurant is closed daily between 3 and 4pm. Serving sizes were decent and parties of two could easily split an entree. read more

All our orders were hot and delicious--the Pad Kee Mao, Ginger tofu, and Pad mixed veggies with tofu--were milder in spice than I expected and the ginger was more pronounced than I had hoped (this is a good thing!) We came in while they were switching between menu types. There was confusion and we received one meal we couldn't eat. I went back to the counter and we received a steaming hot meal within a few minutes. The staff was friendly and helpful. The meals arrived quickly. I would definitely recommend them. read more
