I've been eating at Pho and Thai for over 10 years, and they just keep getting better. The fresh rolls are always a highlight--served with a delicious, crunchy peanut sauce that I can't get enough of. I usually go for one of their curries, and they never disappoint. The portions are generous, the ingredients are high quality, and you can tell they really care about every meal they serve. It's hands down one of the best values around. The food was delicious!!!!!when I first walked in,they greeted us and told us to go get the menus and seat ourselfs. We ordered the fried dumplings ,pad thai ,manaman curry ,tom kha soup, and wonton soup. The fried dumplings were pretty good, nothing special. The manaman curry was so delicious!! I ordered the yellow curry for pick up and paid for extra onions. The cup was only filled halfway and the lid on the top go cup was not fully and I only had one piece of onion in the whole order. I'm pretty shocked at the food at this place. Alaska tends to fall short when it comes to good Thai food but this place didn't disappoint. We were a big crowd so we sat separately. The service was welcoming and we were served in a timely manner. The food met our expectations and we thoroughly enjoyed our time eating there. The pho was good too! If you're in town and need something warm, I recommend the curry or the Pho. Prices are steep but keep in mind that Homer is an extremely small town. read more

Stopped based on great reviews. It was good but not impressive. More fusion than expected. Were greeted and seated promptly; friendly service. My teens wanted dumplings (pot stickers) -- came fried and drizzled with a really sweet sauce. They don't have peanut sauce for fresh ro The Pho was good but nothing special. They were able to do a tofu pho in regular broth without all the veg adds which made my son happy. Pad See Ew was tasty but just too sweet. Thanks to all the Yelpers for getting it right. My Dad came with me and he wasn't going to eat. After I ordered he grabbed the menu and decided to order some food too. My Dad isn't very adventurous and I think he was just feeling out the place. Obviously he was comfortable and didn't want to miss out on lunch. I ordered the drunken noodles and the chef was trying to talk me into going with a 10 on the heat index. I got a little scared and decided to go with an 8. I like spicy but I do not want to die. I like being able to taste the food and if it's too hot it just ruins it for me. I will be honest...I could have probably dialed it up to a nine. Ha! My Dad is really conservative and went with the beef, broccoli and onions. This is the only dish he ever gets at Asian restaurants. It's a safe bet that he will order this dish at any Asian restaurant. He likes spicy food and ordered it with medium spice. His mouth was burning and he told me it was too spicy. I felt bad but he went for it. He also ordered the egg rolls. Four of them came to an order and they were really good. We got our food to go because I wanted to enjoy the food from our deck at our place. Imagine eating spicy Thai food with a couple of beers while looking at a giant glacier. Yeah it seems like a surreal moment if you ask me. If a moose would have walked by then it would have been perfect. I would totally come back here to eat if I ever make it back to Homer. Some of the best green curry I've had in years. Rather large basic set up but quick service.

I always end up ordering the panang curry with pork and the fresh salad rolls and have realized that each time they are exactly the same. I love the consistency and the dishes are always fresh and tasty! The food is still piping hot when I get my take out food home to eat. They package it up very well for take out, which is key in these current times of everyone taking food to go. read more

I was excited to try this place because the other Thai restaurant was closed for the month. I'm lucky enough to have a Thai friend who cooks authentic for me so I'm a pretty harsh critic with Thai food. We ordered the eggrolls which were OK, the Tom Kha soup and The drunken noodles. The Tom cost soup was pretty bland with not much flavor I probably give that 2 1/2 stars. The drunken noodles were excellent however and that's why I'm giving this review four stars. This is a cute home-y restaurant that has a nice cultural ambiance. The portions are on the smaller side compared to places in Anchorage, but the food is great. I had the Mansama curry and that made me pretty full. The Green Thai iced tea cured my sweet tooth that I had on the drive up. 9/10 would recommend for great asian cuisine ! read more

It came out in a decent amount of time along with a heaping plate of bean sprouts, cilantro, lime, and jalapenos - the standard pho compliments. The broth looked and tasted great ungarnished, and then hit another delicious level when I added the extra fixings. The fresh rolls were also good, but the price was unfortunately high. This could just be the difference between the lower 48 and Alaska in general prices of things though. I come up in the summers to work on a fishing boat and this is the place I look forward to after a long day, the people are great and very kind and their food is amazing, I eat at least 5 egg rolls every time I order and that's still not enough, all the pho's and their broth are excellent and their drunken noodles is my girlfriends favorite. After a long day out on the boat, we were hungry and looking forward to a warm meal. I was worried they would not seat us because we showed up 20 minutes before closing, but we were greeted warmly and given a table. The food came out quickly and just as ordered. I had the pho beef - not the best flavor I've ever had, but it was not greasy/oily which is a big plus! I added sriracha and hoisin sauce to enhance the flavor to my liking. I ended up thoroughly enjoying it! The others in my party got chicken pho, drunken noodle, and pad see ew. Everyone enjoyed their dishes! The drunken noodle was served with the same noodles as my pho, which was unlike I've seen it before and a bit strange, but the flavor was good. I would confidently recommend this restaurant to friends and family. It is not the best Thai food I have ever had, but it is good, especially for a small town such as Homer. Try the salmon curry. I took a friend here and he had this dish. He was so impressed, that he told the owner that this was the BEST Thai food he's had outside of Thailand! Strong words coming from my buddy who is an international airline pilot and samples food all over the world. I always get the pho here, and it is above standard. Tasty broth and comes with real jalapeños as part of the garnish plate. It was a little odd that instead of bean sprouts as one of the other garnish items, they substitute shredded cabbage. We were very excited to try this place since seeing their great reviews on urban spoon. When we walked in we got cold stares or say glares from other diners in the restaurant. The host informed us that there was a 45 min wait which he then turned to an hou wait.. which he then quickly turned in an hour and a half wait. I don't mind waiting at restaurants if there is an actual reason to wait. I guess maybe he did not want us to eat there or our money. What I don't understand is how there is such a long wait and 4 perfectly empty tables. They are rated high by urbanspoon.com yet cannot seat a couple in one of their 4 empty tables? The prices seem a bit steep for a bowl of pho or pad thai, but you have to remember that YOU ARE IN ALASKA! And not just Alaska but Homer, where goods are either barged or trucked in from Anchorage. Vegetable and meat selection are also going to affected since when are tripe and tendon going to be readily available on a daily basis. The food was amazing. I've been to plenty of Thai restaurants and only this one actually gave me the spicy I've been looking for. I'm talking bout make me cry, sobbing, drinking glass after glass of water spicy. And the food was gooooddd!!!! One of the best pad-thai I've had! The staff was attentive and friendly. Food came out in minutes and piping hot. Actually, a couple came in for their take out and a dish was missing, the waiter took down their order, sat them down, and within minutes had the order bagged and ready to go. Now, that's service. For the out of towners, especially those out of state who are used to out of state prices, you gotta remember Alaska is a whole different ball game. read more

I came to Homer to visit family for two weeks and came here at least three times during that period because I loved it so much! Ok so as expected the Thai ( or Asian minus Japanese) is not too good in Alaska. - didn't come here for the Vietnamese. But, I had to give a 4 star because the owner is so sweet and gave great service. I wrongly ordered basil fried rice, and instead, ordered some basil stir fry dish. He kindly re did the dish for me. And when my parents and I wanted hot, they used real chillies to mean it! The basil fried rice with shrimp was spot on for $12.50-- the give you a ton of shrimps and portions are good. My mom had the pas see ew- not sure why in Alaska they seem to cut the noodles short but they did here and at Thai house up in Fairbanks. I didn't try the dish because my mom ordered it with beef, but it looked decent with a lot of veggies. My dad had the chicken Penang curry and it was what you'd expect- a heaping bowl of thick yellow goodness. Could have used more veggies. All in all, a good deal if you want a break from the expensive places on the spit. read more
