COVID update- they are open! Cash ONLY - plan on AT LEAST 20 bucks. Delicious fish. A very light panko style batter with good, but not overpowering seasoning. The fish is fresh and hot. Well seasoned fries. Normal style fries. Other than the seasoning, nothing out of the ordinary. Two tartar sauces. One of them was hiding under a fish fillet. One tartar sauce wasn't really enough if you're dipping fries and fish. Lemon wedges. Small, but plenty of juice to get your fish dusted. Cole slaw. Normal coleslaw. Nothing weird or special. Solid Halibut choice.

Omg. Their fish and fries are perfect! We love how well seasoned and crispy the batter is. The halibut is good and so is the cod. We will definitely be back. We had the fish chowder also and that was so-so. It was pretty bland. I'd skip that and just get extra fish. We were really happy with everything else we tried so they still get 5 stars

They were closed at 5pm today even though the hours said they were open until 8pm. Very sad...

We loved the halibut fish and chips and the seafood chowder. So good we went there twice in 3 days.

Got a call…read moreback from Harrison(very fun and charming to talk to) little later, about how early we should get there to find a table, since he said they were booked out later in the evening. We got in about that time 5:30 or 6 ish and the place was quite empty. Obviously with all the construction outside, not a very pleasant looking place...the restaurant was also a bit dated and like I mentioned quite empty. However ee were seated at good table with a view of the lands end and also could watch the skillful bartender. We had Coconut prawns for appetizer and the prawns were huge with a great sauce but the coconut coating could have been better. Our kids had the mocktails of Honey Blossom and kenai colada and loved them both. My spurrita margarita was great and my husbands captains compass was also a very well made cocktail. For dinner we ordered the Alaskan fish & chips, Kachemak burger and Halibut Iliamana. The Iliamana had a nice crab dip sauce and the fish was perfectly cooked. Rice was a perfect company to it but the asparagus should have been trimmed, and hence wasnt very edible. Fish and chips were expectedly good. For dessert we shared the turtle cake and devoured it. Very good! Service was good enough.

The only reason I didn't give it four stars is because it's a bit spendy but the view, food, and…read moredrinks were fabulous. The artichoke and crab dip was delicious. The Alaskan crab legs were very good. The only thing that would improve it is if the butter had a warmer to keep it warm. The house salad and beet salad were both quite good. ( the half salad is big enough) They were quite busy but the service was still good.

A generous portion of fries were served as well. Wife had the scallops with Cole slaw. She shared one and that too was amazing! It wasn't dry, and it wasn't "raw." Cooked to perfection. Also, every single spoonful had clam(s) on it. Very generous with their clams. Service was great! Just getting seated by the hostess took a while. But worth the wait. View was awesome, too!!!

Wait was over 35 minutes when told 20-25 but all good as they have a 'waiting room'and the lady looking after people was obviously trying to do everything. The smoked salmon dip was amazing...it deserved to be in a proper dish rather than a plastic pot! Clam chowder was very tasty. Salad with entree was just leaves and croutons and 1 piece of tomato. Make an effort! Our entrees unfortunately came out cool. Baked halibut was very tasty when reheated. Seafood sampler was dry and very small. For over 50 bucks I was expecting to be wowed. It seems they need more staff and a little attention to detail and it would justify the prices. We so wanted a special experience and were left a litle disappointed. Here's hoping they invest a little more attention in the experience and make it what it should be.

There are several restaurants on this boardwalk and in the surrounding area. We spent all day halibut fishing and were looking for a bite to eat afterwards. They also have beautiful views of the Kachemak Bay from their dining area. We were able to spot some Orcas swimming by while we were eating. Majority of my group ordered the fish and chips. I got the Shrimp Basket with coleslaw. Boardwalk Fish & Chips is open seasonally. Their menu offers a number of seafood classics, burgers, soups and salads. There are several gifts shops and stores on the Boardwalk if you want to do some shopping before or after you eat. This was a nice place to stop in for a quick bite to eat.

I…read morehad contacted them the day before our scheduled charter and they were very informative and told me to just give them a call as soon as our boat comes in and they would meet us at the dock with the totes. I informed our captain that we would be utilizing Coal point fish processing so they let them know 20 minutes prior to arriving at the docs and the worker was there waiting for us to pull in to retrieve our fish. I gave him my name my number and off he went. The next day, I called in to make sure that the fish would be ready for pick up as we were heading out of Homer that afternoon. When I was ready to pick up the fish, they pulled it out of the freezer and found the best way to have it packaged to be sent home. We were not leaving till the following day and overnighting in Anchorage. As I did have a cooler with me but our fish weighed 45 pounds and with the cooler it would have been over what is allowed for a bag through the airlines without incurring overweight charges so they suggested to ship it in a box and ensure that it would stay frozen for 36 hours, which gave us enough time to overnight in Anchorage and fly home to Hawaii without being thawed. Because we arrived in Anchorage so late we did not have an opportunity to put it in a freezer overnight, but when we reached home and opened the box and cooler that Coal point had packed for us, all the fish was still rock solid. We were also staying on Homer spit so earlier in the day. I did stop by to check out the location prior to having to come back later to pick up our fish overall such a great experience and I will definitely recommend them to friends and family and also would utilize them again if I ever came back.

It was exceptional - the skin was crunchy and the kale and curry sauce was perfect with the fish. My son loved his shrimp dumplings and my other kid enjoyed her Mac and cheese. My husband liked his sockeye but the highlight for him was the grilled bok choy. Crispy, smoky and perfectly cooked. Dessert of pot de creme was well received as well. Unfortunately their service left an overall bad experience for us. Our server was always in a rush, if we did manage to catch her attention. We met the Water Taxi around 5PM and started the trip across the bay..it's about 20 minutes and truly beautiful! The boat pulls up on the beach and you walk up a small trail to the restaurant. Now we had about 20 diners on the boat so this joint went from having one guy at the bar to like 6-7 tables all of the sudden.. they couldn't handle it at all. We waited about 20 minutes for drinks that just sat at the bar. Appetizers were ready before we got drinks. I know it's ALASKA but this just seemed off for a place of this caliber.. no manager on the floor or anything? Started with some appetizers that looked amazing but fell flat on execution, very little flavor at all. We all got entrees and again everything sounded great in description but had very little flavor; Halibut was barely luke warm but was plated beautifully! We tried all kinds of drinks and they were fine and they had a great whiskey I really liked. Dessert offerings were pretty weak so we just tried a Chocolate Mousse that was not good at all with some Espresso's that were served warm not hot? To be honest the place operated like they had just opened for business.. the waiter never asked how anything was just running thru the motions! Very pricey but the restaurant and location is absolutely beautiful. Talk Later
