I was in Homer attending a workshop we had an impromptu get together at A friends rv and someone brought fish and chips from A bus named Sue , they were halibut fish and chips and they were so good that I'm waiting outside of their door for then to open . Their hours are 11:00-4:00 . They have a small menu but it includes rockfish tacos , coconut shrimp several different halibut specials and I even see Brussels sprouts on the menu sign . ( little while later ) I had the halibut fish and chips with a side salad instead of chips ( 2.00 up charge for salad) the halibut was delicious but the nicest surprise was the salad it had sprouts , pickled onions , cucumbers and tomatoes with delicious greens . The halibut is caught fresh each day and the salad tasted like it had just been harvested from a local garden . read more

Service was not customer friendly so I can't say I recommend this place. Food was decent but not great. My quesadilla had a very skimpy amount of food in it. My son said his burrito tasted good but was half hot and half cold. This place has lots of potential so it's a shame that it's not living up to it in my opinion. read more

Where can you have a sit down meal at a vendor bus/food truck where they have a 360° view from your table? Answer: Bus Named Sue located at Fish Dock Drive. Enjoyed Halibut breaded with Panko and Parmesan cheese. It's as good as it gets! Will stop again to see what else there is to enjoy, but I am too stuffed right now to explore. We stopped at this cute spot because we had heard their fish & chips were a must try, but due to demand they were currently out....we later came to learn it's a very popular spot for the fish & chips! So I happened to spot they offered a blueberry lemonade slushie....need I say more? It was SO good. Words probably don't even do it justice. The real blueberries gave it the best flavor, and nothing about this tasted the least bit artificial. It's the real deal! Not watered down, truly perfect. Now I'll just be dreaming about this slushie on every hot summer day going forward! Go get one & you'll understand why I'm gushing about a slushie. :) read more

We came to this place on a tip from a Homer local. I'd recommend getting here early because they have limited ingredients that tend to run sooner than later. Ordered the fish and chips which came out perfectly cooked. The halibut was panko crusted which gave a light crunch to the outside of the fish. I wish it could have been seasoned a bit more, but the tartar sauce was a very fresh and tasty a addition. We also ordered the Rising Sun chicken sandwich and that was just awesome! Highly recommend this place and try eating upstairs on the 2nd level of the bus! read more

We were looking for good fish and chips on the spit, and this place did not disappoint. We ordered the yellow eye rockfish fish and chip meal and it was stellar!! The breading was light and crispy without being too heavy, the fish was firm and juicy, and the tarter sauce was on point. My wife said it was possibly the best breaded/fried fish she's ever had, and I had a hard time arguing with her. The prices are fair and they have seating upstairs in the bus or outside at picnic tables when the weather's nice. They're only open limited hours, but definitely worth a stop if you're craving delicious food! read more

The best fish taco in Homer! We got the rockfish- one with tempura batter and one coconut panko. These tacos are huge! It's good they come with two corn tortillas because there's so much fish on here that you need two to eat it all. The bus is also adorable. Sit upstairs for the full experience. read more

Place your order at the window and sit inside in the top deck of the bus. The food is exceptional and fairly priced, the view and experience won't soon be forgotten. Delicious! My husband and I came here on a rainy Friday for lunch. Upstairs is a dining room so we were able to eat inside and not in our car, which was great. I had the halibut Taco, which is about the size of two street tacos, and my husband had the Supreme nachos with carne Asada. Both came out quickly and were well prepared. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the dining room was clean. We would eat here again. read more

THE REAL UNSUNG HERO IS THE ROCKFISH TACOS. Wow geez Louise the combination of things they place on this makes it the best fish taco I've ever had. Closed on Wednesdays and Thursdays came back on Friday. A good Portion of Halibut fish and chips, seems to be the gripe on the Homer Spit, but not here. Panko battered and the Halibut was obviously fresh. Pleasant people and eating indoors at the top level of the bus on a windy day made it a great experience. read more

I live in Homer, Alaska and this place has the most excellent fish 'n chips! Lightly breaded, crispy on the outside, and the halibut was still moist and flaky inside, not overcooked and dry like a lot of places seem to have trouble with. Dave's got it down and I was so happy with all of it. I've tried a lot of other places in Homer for fish 'n chips and his are the best! read more
