A generous portion of fries were served as well. Wife had the scallops with Cole slaw. She shared one and that too was amazing! It wasn't dry, and it wasn't "raw." Cooked to perfection. Prior to that, we had the clam chowder. That was really good as well! Smokey flavored with a hint of spice . This was different compared to other clam chowders we ate. Also, every single spoonful had clam(s) on it. Very generous with their clams. Service was great! Just getting seated by the hostess took a while. But worth the wait. View was awesome, too!!!

Wait was over 35 minutes when told 20-25 but all good as they have a 'waiting room'and the lady looking after people was obviously trying to do everything. The smoked salmon dip was amazing...it deserved to be in a proper dish rather than a plastic pot! Clam chowder was very tasty. Salad with entree was just leaves and croutons and 1 piece of tomato. Make an effort! Our entrees unfortunately came out cool. Baked halibut was very tasty when reheated. Seafood sampler was dry and very small. For over 50 bucks I was expecting to be wowed. It seems they need more staff and a little attention to detail and it would justify the prices. We so wanted a special experience and were left a litle disappointed. Here's hoping they invest a little more attention in the experience and make it what it should be.

Got a call…read moreback from Harrison(very fun and charming to talk to) little later, about how early we should get there to find a table, since he said they were booked out later in the evening. We got in about that time 5:30 or 6 ish and the place was quite empty. Obviously with all the construction outside, not a very pleasant looking place...the restaurant was also a bit dated and like I mentioned quite empty. However ee were seated at good table with a view of the lands end and also could watch the skillful bartender. We had Coconut prawns for appetizer and the prawns were huge with a great sauce but the coconut coating could have been better. Our kids had the mocktails of Honey Blossom and kenai colada and loved them both. My spurrita margarita was great and my husbands captains compass was also a very well made cocktail. For dinner we ordered the Alaskan fish & chips, Kachemak burger and Halibut Iliamana. The Iliamana had a nice crab dip sauce and the fish was perfectly cooked. Rice was a perfect company to it but the asparagus should have been trimmed, and hence wasnt very edible. Fish and chips were expectedly good. For dessert we shared the turtle cake and devoured it. Very good! Service was good enough.

The Bulgagi was unique and put a Korean spin on a taco but was a little heavy on the sauce. The fish taco was out of this world good. The best fish taco I've ever eaten. We got some noodles just to try another dish but they weren't that impressive-- why get noodles when you can have le burg or fish taco?? We were just visiting but my family lives in Homer and visits Le burg regularly. They said hours can be difficult and they're not always open. There are also only two picnic tables between Le truck and a BBQ truck that they seem to share so not a lot of seating but it's a food truck-- what do you expect. If you're in homer and looking for a lunch spot make sure to check out Le truck. Update: two years later we spent three days trying to go back but they were never open! Finally they opened for lunch at 1:40 right before the farmer's market opened on Wednesday. It seems like they are only open when farmer's market is open. That's very frustrating. Food was still good but losing points/stars for bad hours and never being open!!
