This icecream shop is the best on the spit! They have a bunch of different flavors but what I think is super cool is they also have yummy crêpes! Sweet and savory! The ice cream we dined on in the picture was a banana split with 1 scoop of Vanilla, a scoop of Chocolate, and a scoop of Strawberry ! With 1 split banana ( of course ) and topped with 3 sauces (salted caramel, snickerdoodle and chocolate fudge) with 3 cherrys on top! So amazingly delicious!!!!! A go too spot! Unusual flavors and great quality made for an unexpected, pleasant surprise. I had a scoop of ice cream added to my strawberry rhubarb crepe and it was fantastic. Flagship gets 5-stars for being pretty much the only place open for breakfast at 6am on a Monday. Almost everywhere was closed, especially on the spit. We picked up some excellent breakfast burritos and savory crepes for our halibut charter, they really hit the spot. I just wish they had better coffee options. read more

Well it's ice cream. So it gets 2 stars. The waffle cone was undercooked. The kid serving the ice cream was touching the cone with his bare hands- less than ideal. When I read interesting flavors in other reviews I guess I was expecting more than bubble gum and playdough flavored and thought there would be more sophisticated flavors. So expectations maybe got the worst of me. Nothing special about this ice cream- can go to Safeway and get a pint and be maybe more satisfied. But again, it's ice cream. So if you want mediocre ice cream - it's cold and standard prices. read more

Pretty good! I got the maple nut and almond mocha fudge flavors, and my husband had the salted caramel and cookie dough flavors, both with waffle cones. Everything tasted good and like the descriptions. I'm only giving four stars because the ice cream isn't local, but rather shipped from Oregon, and that's kinda disappointing as I was hoping for something unique. Definitely worth a try though! read more

Stopped in for a crepe. The crepe was terrible. I got the blueberry cheesecake crepe and the texture was off. The blueberry topping was tasteless. The people working there were literally eating behind the counter while we were waiting for our food. The young man that took our order seemed confused or just was very new. I absolutely love this place, the inside is adorable and very mermaid friendly!! I love how the new owner of this building has created such a perfect atmosphere! The work station where they make cones (amazing) is in the front with the ice cream, and the back where the windows are is now a beautiful little dining area with comfy seating and a few board games. Such a cozy feel with a priceless view, always inviting and I never feel rushed to order even with a line out the door. Love love love! read more

Oh. Em. Gee.... This little gem is FANTASTIC. I'm so sad they are closing for the season next week. They serve Umpqua ice cream, which you can get at most groceries BUT... They FRESH BAKE their waffle cones. Folks, I'm talking FRESH FRESH cones. As in, it was still warm from being baked and it was HEAVENLY. The owner is WONDERFULY friendly. She was happy to let me taste anything before ordering. And, if you need gluten free, they do it. She has a daughter and sister that need gluten free, so she gets it. I don't (thank goodness) but I thought it was a nice offering. They do fresh made toppings as well! Also, apparently she does breakfast burritos. I haven't had one, but it's good to note she makes them as there aren't a TON of options on the spit for quick breakfast. They open at 0530am and close at 7:30pm. Our specialties include hourmet flavored, house-made hot fudges, and caramel sauces. We have 16 flavors of delicious ice cream and our fresh made waffle cones. You will find an inviting, family friendly atmosphere, large scoops and reasonable prices (including our $.50 kids cone for kids of all ages).

History

Established in 1982.

The ice cream shop has been part of the spit for ages, but was bought by my sister the summer of 2018. My husband and I have taken over as of the summer of 2020. We are so grateful to our town for helping us be sucessful! We have now moved locations, but you can still find us on the Homer Spit in the Kevin Bell Arena parking lot!

Meet the Business Owner: Brian and Mary W.

Mary was born and raised in Homer. We met while living in Missouri. 19 years of marriage and 7 kids later we were able to move our family back to Home(r). We are so happy to have the opportunity to have a family business in our beautiful community.
