The location is take out only, with seating offered on their small but sweet patio. A few steps in either direction will take customers to the beach or the Port, so seating is really a not a consideration. What suprised me was how soon in the season they closed up shop. We went on Saturday in early September and they were open, we returned the following day on Sunday- the SAME weekend, and they had flipped over their "closed for the season" sign. Weird. It seems like places on the spit are closing earlier and earlier every year; never mind those of use who live in Alaska within driving distance who are waiting for the tourists to leave so we can enjoy local businesses. They had good cold brew which my husband went back for seconds before we even left the boardwalk, and I got an iced tea (caffeine limits are sad :( The tea they used was from sipping streams which is a Fairbanks locally made tea which was cool. It was good, but I should have added honey or sugar. But it was fine. Cute on the inside, nowhere to sit. I've never been to Homer in the winter so I only know summer and they probably cater to tourists. You can sit outside on the picnic tables.

We got coffee and snacks from them every day we were camping and the best kept secret campground in Alaska. They saved us from having to fire up the cook stove while we were still bleary-eyed. They also charge the same amount for hot or iced drink, most places charge like 50 cents extra to ice it. I think I got an iced latte with cookie dough vanilla. Like the other coffees I had in Homer it was not very smooth but it was still good. Hard to tell if it was burnt shots or just how the coffee is roasted. Dont know which coffee beans they use, a local from Homer or somewhere else.

As much as we love Mike's and want to love Bubbles, the service we have received from one server…read more(young girl with very long black hair) has made our experiences there feel so negative. She has been rude to us, rude to her coworkers, made a truly awful chocolate peanut butter Milkshake (did not know that was possible but it included a long black hair in the completely melted milkshake), and when we asked about an overcharge on an item we paid for, she stared blankly at us. So we asked for a manager and she said he was too busy. So we left. It's not the first time we've had a negative encounter at Bubbles when she was working. but it is too bad. I doubt I'll return.
