This place was open when we visited and had decent reviews, so we decided to give it a try. We ordered the mango sticky rice since they were out of the other sticky rice option we originally wanted. Unfortunately, it was a disappointment. The rice was overly mushy and lacked the sweet, rich flavor we were expecting. The cashier also came across as unfriendly, which didn't make the experience any better. The restaurant was nearly empty, with only one other table occupied. On a positive note, the dining area was clean, organized, and had a nice atmosphere. Hopefully, we just visited on an off day.

Here to update my review with my most recent visit, although the rating hasn't changed. I got the pineapple fried rice this time, and I did enjoy it much more than the pad kee mao or pad Thai. It was fragrant and had good flavour. My friend got steamed vegetables with rice, and the vegetables were unappetizing and bland. We got the mango sticky rice for dessert, which I am normally a big fan of. This one was coloured green, which already threw us off as it looked radioactive or poisonous. The taste was not great either. I've had a lot of mango sticky rice, and this was probably my least favourite of them all. Service wise, our server was friendly but forgetful. She gave us one bill for our table, which we didn't expect because we were evidently three friends, and usually the norm would be to split checks. I didn't see any signs or note in the menu that they don't split checks, so we all thought it was bizarre that she just brought one bill for the table. This is a nice place to sit and chat with friends though as there is plenty of seating and a warm ambience.

We tried Thai Cafe over the holidays. The servers were very nice. The food was a "B" and tasty. Unfortunately the server accident spilled a lot of sauce/juice on my shirt, pants, and shoes and we were spending the day there so I smelled like fish sauce most of the day. They apologized and offered a free drink (I politely declined). Not docking any stars for the accident - they happen. The food was decent but not anything I'd run back for. If in Temple and you have a hankering for Thai food, this is your spot.

I ate at Thai cafe for the first time today. Upon arrival everything was great. Seemed like a nice little spot downtown but when I went to pay I gave the server my card which does have trumps face on it. When I got my card back trumps face had been scratched through twice. I approached Hailey and told her that my card had been scratched and she smirked and replied " oh did it" and quickly went back about her business. My card is ruined. I don't know if she is anti-Trump supporter but either way vandalizing property isn't how you should teach your staff to represent your establishment. Please have owner or management contact me.

Good food and good service! We ordered Rangoons for apps very tasty. Also had drunken noodles and curry. You can order mild, medium or spicy. We ordered mild, very flavorful meal. Two thumbs up, had a great lunch today.

We had Tom Kha Soup which was good but a little too salty! 3 orders of Pad Thai - Chicken Hot, Chicken Spicy and 3 meat mild. All came out and were good. Drunken Noodles very good flavor! Panang Curry with Rice and a Side of Noodles! Very good! Pineapple Fried Rice with Chicken but they just did Chicken Fried Rice, no pineapple! Overall it was a good experience just could have used some TLC.

First time trying this restaurant; I would say it's a solid B- rating. Food was very flavorful, but was not hot & did not feel like it was brought to the table soon enough. The restaurant itself is very cutesy and has little table outside for nice weather days. Ordered delivery. We got 2 combination Thai Fried Rice and one broccoli stir fry with tofu. The thai fried rice had delicious combination of meat but the rice was very mushy. Rice had a weird after taste.It wasn't very pleasant. The broccoli stir fry with tofu was delicious according to my daughter. And steamed rice unlike the fried rice was not mushy.

Tom yum Chicken Tom Yum (Lemongrass Soup)

It's usually taken with a grain of salt when someone says something tastes the best but mannnnn, they have the best tom yum soup I've had since Phuket. I've tried over a couple dozen spots but no one can seem to come close to that original flavor I had tried in Thailand. This is a must try. Aside from that experience, everything else was incredible. I'd recommend to try this spot on your next Thai food craving. Cheers!

My lover took me here because she knows my love of good Thai food. We came in with high hopes based on other reviews. I had yellow curry and asked for spicy. It might have been medium, that is a big maybe though. It was way too sweet for my taste also. My lover had green curry and she was even less impressed than me. It is a really nice place but I will be sticking to my standard places in the area for Thai. read more

Everything we've had from Thai Cafe has been exceptional. Their food is delicious, freshly prepared and served by a friendly staff. The chef is professional and extremely knowledgeable about his cuisine and also accommodating for special requests. The owner is excited to have his business in Temple and looks forward to continuing to serve this wonderful food for years to come. What more could we ask for? 2 stars because it was the only Thai restaurant open on a Sunday. Food and service was just okay, kind of plain flavors and small servings. Barely any vegetables in the soup for what you pay. The boba texture felt old. Gave this place a second chance but definitely won't come back even on a Sunday. read more

This place is wonderful and is the best Thai food in the area! The owner and workers are unbelievably friendly, warm and accommodating. Unlike a lot of large restaurants, Thai cafe has a "Mom and Pop" feel to it, and it's apparent that their repeat customers are happy to support this local business. As far as the food goes, the portions are generous, and there are many options available on the menu. They allow vegan options for most dishes, and this is something so many Asian restaurants don't do. I highly recommend the vegan drunken noodles with medium spice. The soups also have a vegan/vegetarian option and are delicious! read more

This place is amazing. It's got unique thai cuisine, not just pad thai and things like that. I have not had one thing there that was not above par. Their food is great, the service is great, and the owners are super nice! Some of my favorite things to get theare the tom kha w seafood, the curry fried rice, and the crispy tofu appetizer, plus they have boba!!! If y'all are in the mood for something different but still delicious, DEFINITELY try this place out! read more

UPDATE: ordered again tonight (can you tell I'm addicted! Lol) went in to pick it up, got to meet the chef, she was this tiny woman full of life! They even gave me a free order of chicken sauté because of the last order being dry. Got home everyone dug in and it was PHENOMENAL!! I will have to cut this addiction down to once a week though lol read more

The panang curry is so bomb!!! Get it Thai spicy. The pad Thai I ordered was good- it had a slightly strange aftertaste but I would definitely try it again. I think it was the lime I squeezed on it. I stepped inside and placed a to go order. In front of you the team there wears a face mask. However in the bar where they are preparing the food no mask is worn. I over heard someone sneezed and just hope it was not over my food. I order the shrimp wrapped in a blanket it was okay. I alway ordered the pad Thai noodles it lacked taste and seasoning. The noodles stuck together the meal was weighted down and oily. It looks nice on the inside but not work the $20.00 I spent for a appetizer and entree. read more

This place was absolutely amazing. I ordered the Pad Kee Mao (mild spice) and my husband ordered the Pineapple red curry (medium spice). Spice level was perfect. Stumbled upon this place passing through town. The owners are very friendly and the food was outstanding! Definitely a cut above the usual Thai restaurant. The house specials menu had a nice variety of seafood dishes - we had mussels, red snapper, and soft shell crab, all of which were excellent. There are also more typical dishes like Pad Thai available of course. Service was really nice and helpful. read more

We did order Pad Thai, a yellow curry chicken dish and drunken noodles. It was worth eating. I really enjoyed coming here. My parents were pleased with what we ordered. Door Dash allows you to order online but for delivery only. Uber Eats wouldn't let me order at all. I decided to just go to the restaurant and order there. I ordered the fried rice with medium spice level. It only took about 10 minutes. There was a lot of food forte price. Though it was delicious, next time I'll go with a higher spice level (Mild, Medium, Hot, Thai Hot). The person who took my order was super nice. When I mentioned that I couldn't find correct restaurant hours online, he showed me the in-store menu with the correct hours: They're closed on Monday. Open 12-4:30 on Sundays and Tuesdays. Open Wednesdays and Thursdays 12-8. Fridays and Saturdays, they are 12-9:30. Wednesday through Saturday they are also closed from 2-4:30. I also took a picture of it's easier. Hope this helps!

This evening, we had dinner at the restaurant, and I must say, the atmosphere and food were truly exceptional. Regrettably, I must express my dissatisfaction with the service. Our choice was the yellow chicken curry paired with sticky rice, instead of the standard steamed rice. When we received the bill, we were unexpectedly charged for the sticky rice, each at a rate of $3. Upon inquiring why the sticky rice wasn't substituted for the steamed rice, which is typically included with the meal, our server explained that sticky rice is more costly. While I understand an upcharge, a $3 supplement for a minor alteration to a dish that is already part of the meal strikes me as rather excessive. Furthermore, I couldn't help but notice that the portion size of the sticky rice side dish was rather small. In fact, I had to order two portions for myself due to their rather modest size. In my view, the establishment has the potential to be outstanding, provided they introduce a straightforward up-charge option for sticky rice and elevate the quality of their in-house service significantly. read more

I have tried different Thai places in the area and all I can say is that this place is by far serving the best Thai food. The restaurant is small but packed. I waited 15 mins for my food but it was worth the wait. The restaurant is nice and clean. The staffs were very helpful and friendly. Will be back soon! read more
