The food preparation was excellent, and portions generous with incredible tasting rice soup. Food was very pleasing. Waitress was friendly and gave us great service. Would highly recommend. My husband and I ate here for lunch. The service was awesome. Food was delicious! We're really sad we found this place 3 days before we move out of state! Wish we would have found in months ago! We each ordered a different dish and had plenty leftover for lunch the next day. Highly recommended. Prices were good. Don't be turned away because it's in a strip mall and it is small, but we were seated right away on a Saturday at lunch time. Thai Cafe used to be pretty good. But that was a long time ago. Now it's inconsistent. Last night's Pad Thai was dry, lacked flavor, and didn't come with the "spice on the side", as I had requested. On another front, while my son and I waited for our overdue take-out order, we drank a beer while we stood in what seemed to be an out-of-the-way spot, but ultimately were told that we were "in the way". There certainly could have been a better way to phrase it. I blame it on cultural differences. Unless I have no other options, I don't think I'll be going back. read more

I've been going to this restaurant for the past 2 years. I really loved it, but unfortunately they have slipped into oblivion. I refuse to go now. I don't know what happened to this place! Really disappointing!!!!! Maybe new ownership, new cooks? I asked the waitress but she said she didn't know. Food has been cold, lacking flavor, and pretty gross the last 3 times I went. The service is also atrocious. That truly is my main reason for ditching this place. I enjoy dining out, relaxing and having my food prepared for me. I'm paying for that experience, Thai Cafe greatly misses the mark on this. Last few times I was in there multiple tables had problems and were complaining. The fellow dining patrons and I both agreed Thai Cafe had turned into Crap Cafe. People literally walked out of the restaurant due to pure frustration. There were 3 waiters and only 4 tables, yet they couldn't handle this amount of people. Customers walking in had to wait 20+ minutes to be seated because they were still cleaning tables. Seriously I sat there in disbelief as to how disorganized these people are. My food took 45 minutes to get to my table, the order was wrong when it finally arrived and they didn't bring me utensils. I had to ask yet again and the waitress took 15 minutes! During that time I walked over myself to the tray of silverware and picked up my own set. The waitress finally came back with a big ass attitude and plopped the silverware down on the table. Seriously?!? That was the final straw for me, I gave this place ample chances to redeem themselves and the failed miserably. Save yourself the pure frustration of leaving hungry and being totally pissed off by the idiocy of the wait staff and just go somewhere else. There are other issues that went on, but I don't feel like writing a thesis. read more

Food is okay. I noticed the health rating isn't posted out front before you enter their restaurant. It's dark inside and perhaps that so we won't notice the booths are filthy and have rips in them. The floors ceiling fixtures don't look like they have been cleaned in long while. The handle on the plastic rice spoon they bought to me was gummy looking and really should have been replaced. There was awards for being the local Best for years in a row, I wonder if the ballot box was loaded by family and friends. This once was my favorite restaurant but is now is in need of some much needed TLC. read more

This place used to be good. I always went there for the soups. But now the service is so terrible for pick up and in house that you wait ages to get anything. My husband and I just had to leave after waiting for thirty minutes and not even waters. We're also pretty sure the waitress was going to bring us four bowls of soup and she kept saying "two orders each", and I kept saying one for me, one for him. Anyway, the downfall has all been in the past year. This was our third and last chance for this place and it's toast. Sending wrong orders for pick up and having to argue with them on the phone. One time we sat at the table for 25 minutes after being seated and still no one took our order. Gotta find a new place. Don't even waste your time. To be fair, if you peek your head in and the restaurant is empty you might be able to get your food fast, but that's assuming the kitchen isn't backed up from takeout orders. read more

This thai restaurant is close to target, with abundant parking. Food was delicious as usual we were four and ordered yellow curry with veg soup and some other items for kids, first time we had soup served at Thai restaurant with fire still alive at the center of the bowl, as usual food was quickly served and servers were all the time with nice smile, we went there at closing time and they were preparing for next day by filling small containers of chillies and pickles, inside ambience is similar to other thai places with picture of thai serene beaches and artifacts from thai culture, overall the place was clean although it is busy place and I would go back again if i get another chance. Tried this place the other week, very pleased food smelled and looked good the scenery however was pitiful but its not about the aesthetics it's about the food. I had the shrimp fried rice the spicy one and a Thai tea both were delicious, I'm also not really a tea person but theirs was very good. Some other customers ordered something called a volcano it's like a skillet with different meats and shrimp I think to me it looked bomb...I'm definitely gonna go back to try it. Minus one star for customer service. I came in and placed an order for spring rolls to go. Maybe 5-10 minutes later, another girl comes in and starts asking questions about how long it would take for them to cook whatever it was that she wanted because she was on a work break and needed to be back at a certain time. They made her order before mine and she had chicken fried rice, soup, and a Thai iced tea with boba. I'm pretty sure she'll have great things to say about the customer service but it surely put a damper on my experience. I mean it's spring rolls... there's no reason it should have taken that long for me to receive my order and they had no right to put her before me as if my time wasn't just as valuable. I asked about it when I was there and the waitress gave me a crappy excuse that made no sense so I'm sure she's aware that she was in the wrong. Anyway, the next star down is because the spring rolls weren't even worth the wait. The peanut sauce had a weird texture to it and the spring rolls had more cucumber in them than anything. Well, I've been back three times since my last post in April. I really like the food at Thai Cafe but the service has been getting progressively worse. Long waits after being seated and very sporadic checks after serving the meals, likely due to having too few servers. Last Thursday was my breaking point. My party of three arrived at 5:30 and were seated within 5 minutes. The place was 3/4 full. We sat for 25 minutes without any type of service and then watched the waiter take a later arriving tables order and not even glance in our direction. We then exited the building for another Thai place. I will not be back until the service issue is sorted out. Too bad, the food is great!. read more

I have to say I absolutely love Thai Cafe. They have great vegetarian options,and the service is excellent( my favorite server is Fonny) It is nice to eat somewhere that you know takes pride in the food they serve you, unlike all the microwaved junk we are bombarded with at all of the "chain restaurants" out here. my favorite are the Pad See Ewe noodles and the Pepper Garlic TVP Yum! read more

Me and my boyfriend love this restaurant! The food is great and the service has always been wonderful until today. Today we walked in for the third time this week (indicative of our joy found here). The server "Kitty" was so unappealing we had to leave without eating. She was inappropriately dressed in I'll-fitting yoga cloths and literally dripping sweat. Her face and back were covered in glossy beads. We didn't even want to order from her for fear she would drip into our food. We will be back prepared to spend and eat and enjoy, so long as she is not working. read more
