After a long day of traveling from Ohio, this place really hit the spot! We originally went to eat at Rock n Roll Sushi.. but after a really weird a not great experience of being completely ignored by the staff, we decided to leave. Thai Cafe was our second choice but it sure made a lasting impression! The atmosphere and decor is absolutely adorable! The staff is so inviting and fun it made for such a nice experience. I got the Thai tea and the Red Curry. Everything was so delicious, flavorful and fresh! I got a #2 on the spicy level and it was the perfect amount of spice for my wimpy self. If I lived here, it would be a staple in my going out to eat routine. Hopefully I get to come back and have it again!

Thai cafe I ordered a couple of dishes, the taste was weird, the stir fried basil. I have eaten a lot of fried basil in my life. You made the wrong Thai basil stir-fry. It's weird that the basil has water like a soup. Haha, I tried to wrap it up and go home. I probably won't come back again. You have to improve About Thai tea is like water mixed with sugar, very sweet, no smell of Thai tea. Slow service, impolite dress

After traveling to Bangkok, Chiang Mai, and Phuket last year, I was REALLY in need of some authentic Thai food. I'd been to Thai Cafe a few years ago before moving to Asia and this place is a GEM to have when I travel back to the states. The Cucumber Som Tam took me straight back to Chiang Mai. It's apparent the people who have said things such as "if you want authentic Thai" have never been to Thailand and really mean they want Americanized Thai food that's full of ingredients not even used in Thailand. Seriously, if you've EVER been to Thailand or Cambodia and you miss the food, STOP BY THIS PLACE. It's amazing and I'll continue to come back when I'm in the area.

Most expensive and yet worst Thai I've ever have. The sauce was a gravy. Yuck. Veggies are like a cheap mall Chinese food court mix. I would never come back. So disappointed

Crispy Fried tofu with peanut sauce and chicken satay with peanut sauce. Both very delicious

Excellent food. Very authentic. We ordered curry, tofu, and satay chicken! All fabulous. What a hidden gem in the Jackson área.

Their ramen is literally top ramen instant packs with chicken bouillon cubes and maybe some seasonings...& their appetizers are always greasy. Mandu's aren't really even mandus. Their jjangmeon is greasy as well and not even authentic to its real taste. I gave it 3 more tries before I realized yeah..this place has gone downhill terribly. I didn't like one of my dishes and i specifically told them what I didn't like about it and they still charged me because the chef said "I made it correctly" and I was very disappointed because a kimchi soup should NEVER taste tomatoe-y EVER. I looked back in the kitchen and saw white folks in the kitchen and knew yeah, no. this establishment has no soul or care. There are better Korean options here in Memphis, after some time this place has lost all its care and soul. Like who serves appetizers on plate that says "oh shucks" and it's a picture of oysters...it gives CHEAP & careless.

We both decided on the ramen after hearing about it and were very glad that we did. The meal was delicious! We both went with mild spicy and that was just the right amount of flavorful without it being too much. I am not a spicy person though! I am excited to return and especially enjoy a fall evening with a bowl of ramen!

I have been here multiple times and enjoyed all the menu items I have tried. I love the chicken wings. They are fried well and seasoned to perfection. I ordered the rice bowl this time. It was good but not my fav dish. The dumplings were tasty too. Service was very good. Our waitress was nice and helpful. Decor is very unique and pleasant to admire. I will return to get those chicken wings for sure.

When you walk in you'll check in with the host to be seated. The restaurant feels like a super cute, casual ramen shop vibe right in the heart of Memphis. For food we started by ordering the crawfish dumplings (crawfish, shrimp, cream cheese & togarashi). The dumplings were good, almost like a take on a Crab Rangoon but with shrimp and crawfish. For entrees my partner ordered the Big City Ramen (chicken broth, chicken thigh, ajitama, corn & menma) and I ordered the Spicy Pork Ramen (miso broth, pork chashu, soft egg, scallion, nori). The Big City ramen had a really good balance of flavors and wasn't too spicy. The spicy pork ramen was good but a bit like on the spicy side. For dessert we ordered the Thai tea dessert which was really well balanced and a perfect way to the end the meal. Highly recommend stopping by Good Fortune if you are in the Memphis area.

I haven't had the best of luck with Chinese food in Memphis so I did everything I could to suppress this unwanted craving, however, I just couldn't help myself. Little Petals pops up on Yelp as a possibility. I read the reviews and scrolled through the pictures. After looking at the location, I realized it was only an 8-minute drive from where we were. Why not, right? The restaurant is easy to miss. It sits right on the corner in an old shanty building nestled in the middle of downtown Memphis. The furniture and décor were of a standard Chinese eatery, nothing special; but the employees were warm and welcoming, greeting me with hellos and smiles. I got the black pepper chicken that came with a spring roll. I ordered an extra side of pork egg rolls because that's usually my go to. Everything was fantastic! It gives you the taste of that old school Chinese food you used to have as a kid, but better quality. The chicken was moist, flavorful and peppery. The egg rolls had the perfect amount of crispy crunch---they seemed handmade as well! Pricing is a little higher from when I was a kid, but you still won't break the bank here! As I started to think that great Chinese food was not an option for Memphis, Little Petals showed up at the right time and made me a believer!

Late lunch, to go. Glad to see a place with pretty exceptional entrees has taken over this…read morelocation...everything else here before was standard 'I feel like Asian food for (meal)', and then I'd settle for this spot (as the Wang's on Main long ago closed doors and became a Dollar General - Memphis being Memphis) leaving underwhelmed and over spent. So, Little Petals, i.e., Petals of a Peony, Jr.: no one was inside. I assume this to be per usual for 2:30pm on a Tuesday. It follows then, that the service was, um, efficient and bespoke. Ordered the pork eggrolls (very good, the sauce that came with it - oddly the perfect amount was given in a little rectangular container - made these delectable) and the General Peony's Chicken. And this was damned good. Pricey for lunch, but I could have made 2 or 3 meals off of it. A satisfying amount of heat from the szcheuan (sp?) peppers; not overly breaded so as to make it a fried dough dish, but rather to carry the sauce on the chicken; the chicken was a quality cut, nicely sized per bite. A new go-to for lunch downtown.
