We were brought chips and salsa at the beginning along with our drinks. It's a casual place with a sit down eating on one side and something else on the sushi side. We have leftover for dinner. The California roll was huge

ABSOLUTE SLOP... I gave this restaurant three tries. The…read morefirst two attempts were mediocre at best, but I just got done eating the absolutely ***WORST*** Mexican "cuisine" meal of my life tonight, and trust me, I've eaten more Mexican food out than any other cuisine, stretching the entire United States, and a few in Mexico itself. I ordered al a carte as I typically do (for the variety and to see if they can do multiple dishes well). I received three main course items sloppily placed into a single container drowning in a chili powder and salt heavy sauce such that I could not taste the tortilla or protein...it all tasted like a chili powder salt lick (btw, I am NOT sensitive AT ALL to sodium...I have been home cooking for 3 decades and fully appreciate a well-seasoned dish). This was the worse slop I've ever eaten at a Mexican restaurant, and to boot, the meal cost $20 for three al a carte items and a small side of rice. At the counter, I asked for a small side of their spiciest salsa (which I always do) and they up-charged me $2 for a literally a single two ounce serving of what appeared to be their house salsa with a ton of guess what....a handful of chili powder in it. Their prices are absolute highway robbery for the quality of food they are serving, and it's quite obvious that since they are the only Mexican restaurant in this entire county, they are gouging the local Caucasian population that doesn't know any better. At this quality, their prices should be half of what they are, and if that were the case, you still wouldn't find me eating there. You'll get no more chances from me, you low-quality scam artists. Bye and good riddance.

I tried the loaded fries and my go to steak taco. I ate my food, but I was not pleased. My food was not as good and fresh as it usually would be. Overall, tonight was just ok. I think if I come back I'll do the quesadilla. The restaurant was clean in the sitting area. The server was friendly.

Salsa has a ton of flavor and they bring additional sauces to the table if you'd like more heat. The chips are thin and really crispy and fresh. This place is a knockout -- if you have the chance to stop in then do it!

Finally won't have to drive to Jackson for good Mexican foos and margaritas! Everyone was so nice! Several servers spoke to me and the main person checked on me as well. Consider calling ahead to order as they are sometimes so busy it takes a little time to get your food. There's a little sitting area with shade where you can sit and eat or you can get it to go like we had to. Their chicken tacos are perf and even better with pico but don't need salsa verde to be awesome. I also really liked their tacos del pastor. They sell the smaller tacos here so I can usually eat around 3-4. The torta I got was delicious but it was crazy messy and I actually liked it better without the top bit of bread. The quesadilla reminds me of the ones I used to get at El Rancho Grande, my favorite homestyle Mexican restaurant before it closed down. Good memories.
