I had the pleasure of eating at their Wal Mart location today. This is about the third time I've ordered food here but I got a bowl in lieu of tacos. The bowl was similar to the big name chain but offered a different meat. I love spicy chorizo and that's what I got. Plus, rice and refried beans and the usual toppings. Over all it was delicious. Fantastic Yelp find!!!!! We were in town for a wedding and we came here for a quick lunch before we went to the hotel to get ready. I thought the set up was great. The cooks line, serving line, and cashier station are all neatly packed into one area in the center. It's very efficient and affords you the ability to look into where everything is made right there in front of you. My wife got a quesadilla and he let her put in every freaking topping he had in it. He even laughed and said, that's how you do it!!! She loved it!! My carnitas taco was the best taco I have ever had! No shit!! It was freaking fantastic!!!!! Tender! Juicy!!! Flavorful!!!!! Just perfect with those salsas that they have!! I just wish I lived closer so I could go here again on the regular. If you see this on your radar... do not sleep on it! I bought tacos at Tacos El Papi new location at the large Walmart on Ft Campbell Blvd. This is the first time I ever tried their food and I really enjoyed it. I got two beef tacos, and I loved the way they heated the tortillas first. Then the beef they put on them was seasoned just right and then they added peppers and onions plus some cheese sauce. I additionally had several other toppings and got them to go. It was a taste treat and I certainly go there for more. read more

The best place for authentic tacos in this area to include Clarksville. They have a nice selection of meats for their tacos and burritos, barbacoa, el pastor, lengua, shrimp and others that you may not see at a taqueria. They do offer corn or flour tortillas which is unusual for their tacos. Stick with the corn and get the lengua, you won't be disappointed. The meats are well cooked, tender and seasoned just right. They offer a bowl ala Chipotle or Qdoba, which is different but still very good owing to their well cooked meats and fresh ingredients. They have a good variety of sauces/salsa which range from mild to hot, all having a very nice flavor. The staff is kinda friendly, they don't talk to you much, but it's pretty fast getting through the line. Step up to the counter like a Subway and tell them what you want and they'll make your custom ordered tacos, burritos and bowls. I've tried many of the Mexican restaurants in this area, and this is the best place for authentic tacos. read more

Bad customer service. It was clearly our first time here and they acted like us being there was a problem. Closed my box before I could finish ordering. Then shrugged his shoulders like oh well. It say authentic but got the tortilla out of a bag from Walmart! Then charged me $21 for two items that barely had anything on them. The setup is as follows: get in line and decide what you want from the taco bar. You can choose corn or flour tortillas, then choose your meat: various preparations of pork, beef, chicken, and sometimes tongue or fish. They have a large selections of toppings, such as multiple types of vegetables, herbs, and sauces. The meat is almost almost always cooked well and is moist and flavorful (though it can dry out if it's been out on the line for a while). The sauces are flavorful and offer varying levels of spice. They have several types of drinks, from horchata to flavorful punches. Usually not crowded. Nice place to have a meal in a town with few real food offerings. read more

I'm in the area due to military and worked at an authentic Mexican restaurant before coming here so I was quick to find a place I liked. This easily beats the place back home. The queso is perfect, the meat is perfect. Omg it's honestly a treat everytime my husband says "let's get tacos el papi for dinner". Anytime we've had family visit, we bring them here and they love it just as much as we do. We were traveling from out of town and stumbled upon this place. The tacos were DELICIOUS! $2.50/each and you can add anything you want. Even the kids enjoyed their beef tacos with shredded cheese and lettuce. They do also offer kids menus (chicken fingers and fries, quesadillas, taco meal) but you're not ordering correctly if you don't get the tacos!
