The mix of Thai and Burmese dishes really sets it apart from other places in town. The food was overall really flavorful dishes like khao soi papaya salad and other northern Thai dishes , and everything tastes fresh and well-prepared. The flavors feel more traditional compared to a lot of Thai spots around here. The restaurant itself is on the smaller side, which gives it a cozy vibe, but it can feel a little tight and busy during peak hours, so it's not the best place for big groups unless you plan ahead. Service was friendly and welcoming, and food came out pretty quickly even when it was busy. Overall, it's a great spot for quality Thai food in Boise. definitely one of the places I'd come back to when I want something more authentic and a little different.

You can truly taste how fresh the ingredients are -- bright herbs, perfectly balanced sauces, and flavors that taste authentic and thoughtfully prepared. I grew up helping at my mom's Thai restaurant when I was young, so I'm pretty picky when it comes to Thai food. This place exceeded my expectations. The flavors brought me back -- fresh, vibrant, and made with care. We ordered: * Pad Thai * Mango Salad * Seafood Soup * Yellow Curry * Fried Chicken with Sticky Rice * Thai Tea The Pad Thai was perfectly seasoned with great texture. The mango salad was fresh and crisp with amazing balance. The seafood soup was rich and comforting. The yellow curry was smooth, flavorful, and not overly heavy. The fried chicken with sticky rice was crispy, tender, and so satisfying. And the Thai tea? Absolutely perfect. On top of the incredible food, the service was friendly and welcoming. We will definitely be back. Highly recommend!

Having heard great things about them I finally tried it. The place was alive and jamming -- and the…read moreservers were super friendly. I recall that they started with just the chef in charge and all that has changed. The food was prepared quickly. The spring rolls were crispy and delicious. Not a hint of oil as you sometimes find. The sauce and ground peanuts on the side were perfect. The Panang curry with pork ribs was superb. I look forward to trying other items on their menu.

Meet my friend for lunch today. He suggested Maggie Thai Kitchen. The last time I was here, I got…read moretheir pad Thai with tofu. The flavoring of the pad Thai and the noodles were great! I didn't really care for the tofu they used. But I came in today with an open mind. It was a pretty chill afternoon when I got there so I was sat quickly. I waited for my friend to show up so I just hung out and looked over the menu. For lunch I decided to order the Tom Yum soup. It was colder today so something hot would be nice. My friend ordered a couple things for lunch. I remember he did order the crying tiger ( I believe that that is what it was called). My soup came out in a beautifully decorated bowl. It was sitting on top of a burner but the burner wasn't lit which confused me. It would have been nice if the burner would have been lit to keep the soup hot. The soup was flavorful but really sweet. I didn't taste much sour or heat to the soup. You get a hearty amount of mushrooms, chicken and broth. Overall it was a decent soup. After a while I focused on just eating the stuff in the soup and not finishing the broth. You can handle so much of the sweetness. Service was good. I did get a taste of my friend's marinated steak, it was really good. But for the cost of the steak, you really don't get much. I have tried this place twice now and I wish I could say that I love it. The food is decent but there are so many Thai joints in the valley that I just like a little better. I'm happy I got to try it twice but I'll just stick to my regular joints that I frequent.

The biggest issue was that I ordered a dish for which I paid extra to have beef--and the meat was truly inedible! I offered a piece with someone else so they could try it and after trying to chew it, he had to spit it into a napkin to give it a proper burial. It was as if they had used an extremely tough, inexpensive grade of beef never suited to a quick stir fry or similar prep (perhaps chuck or bottom round or similar) as it was difficult to cut and impossible to chew or swallow. It definitely wasn't "velveted" to tenderize the fibers as is sometimes done. I mentioned the fact that the meat was incredibly tough and couldn't be chewed to the server who pretty much just shrugged her shoulders and walked away. I love rice noodles though these and the accompanying sauce were also very gummy and visually unattractive. I specifically ordered mild/no heat--and this dish definitely was not mild. I did not take a photo though should have! They were not particularly busy either so that wouldn't/shouldn't account for it. My first visit and quite likely my last.
