Hands down the best Thai spot I've been to in the last 5 years. I was just glad that my wife's pizza 3x a week type of family even agreed on Asian for dinner today but then I bite into a fresh crab Rangoon in the car and was even more grateful. They got our huge order right. The young lady who took the order and rung us up was very friendly and gave us all the extra sauces and utensils we asked for. I can't even speak on all the noodle dishes because I didn't make it past the fresh spring rolls, fried rice, beef jerky, chicken satay, and rangoons, but everything I had was absolutely dyn-o-mite. Food was fantastic! We started with Crab Rangoon, and it was so refreshing to have dipping sauce other than the usual orange sweet and sour sauce. I had the Gang Ga Li with chicken, and my husband had Pad Pak with chicken. They were both savory, although the Pad Pak was not at all spicy. It was supposed to be medium spicy. The food retained its heat the entire meal. The service could not have been any better. They were very attentive and quick! Stopped in on Friday for lunch to grab take out. After calling in our order they said it would be 20-30 minutes. When we got there to be greeted immediately and food was ready. The drinkin noodles were the perfect flavor and so delicious. We had ours with chicken and it was tender yummy. We also got a garlic pad thai with tofu. I wish there was more flavor and did not like the tofu but my friend loved it. Reasonably priced lunch size servings. Will be back! read more

Really wish they would open a location in GR, because this our favorite Thai Restaurant, hands down! The Thai restaurants in GR are not bad, but if Thai Avenue weren't all the way in Zeeland, it would be our number 1 pick every single time. My husband and I ordered $76 worth of food (talk about your eyes being bigger than your stomach...oops) yesterday after church, and our order was ready in about 15-20 minutes. We ordered the Calamari for our appetizer - the breading wasn't too thick, and the calamari pieces were large. It also wasn't chewy, which is a huge plus! For our meals, we ordered the following: Kao Soi - Combination of Egg or Rice Noodles in a sweet yellow curry broth topped w/ bean sprouts, onions, & fresh basil served w/ pickled cabbage. Larb w/ Chicken - Minced chicken tossed w/ fresh romaine lettuce, slices cucumbers & sticky rice, Pad Ka-Prao Gai - Traditional diced stir fried chicken w/ mixed bell peppers, onions, Thai chili peppers & basil, topped w/ sunny side egg. Goong Pow - Grilled marinated jumbo shrimp served w/ zesty spicy chef's sauce & sticky rice. Somtom - Fresh shredded green papaya, Thai chili, garlic, cherry tomatoes. Tossed w/ zesty lime dressing topped w/ roasted peanuts. Served w/ sticky rice. Yes, again - our eyes were definitely bigger than our stomachs, but that's okay, because these taste even better as leftovers! We ordered a Spice Level 4 (out of 5) for all of our dishes, which tasted great going in, but didn't feel great coming out. Not only do we love the food for the flavor, but I can honestly say that their takeout portion sizes are much bigger than any of the other Thai restaurants that we've ordered from. We've already had two meals out of the order, and can make at least one more meal out of the leftovers. $76 for 6 meals? Worth it. read more

I love this place. Their chicken ginger rice soup is a go to whenever anyone in my house isn't feeling well. It's salty, with small pieces of chicken, rice, and cilantro, it will cure any ailment, guaranteed. Their veggie pad woon sen is my favorite entree by far. It's glass noodles and tons of tender veggies in a smoky rice sauce but it isn't very saucy it's just enough to coat the noodles and veggies. Their pho is always great. I recently tried the veggie pho and it has a rich flavor with tons of fresh veg. The super egg rolls are a must try. They are skinny and long egg rolls packed with glass noodles, ground pork, and a little cabbage. They come with a clear dipping sauce that's slightly sweet and so good. They are always super quick for takeout. Lunch can be touchy if you dine in. They are usually really busy and the wait staff is really good but it can get a little slow. They have booth and table seating and it's a pretty standard Thai restaurant feel. read more

I heard a lot about this place and finally got the opportunity to give it a try. I placed an order for carry out and got the 4 piece spring rolls, papaya salad, tofu pad Thai, shrimp drunken noodles, green curry with beef, and chicken gang massamun, and Twat-Pah. Everything was really good and the portions are worth it. I have gotten half the serving at another restaurant for a similar price. The service was great as well. It looks like they haven't been back to indoor dining yet, but I would continue to support doing carry out. read more

Quite possibly the best Thai food in the area. Entrees are flavorful and authentic. While the Thai hot spice level is ok, it isn't quite Thai hot. But I suppose that's a bit subjective. The Thai Avenue egg rolls were hot, crispy, and very tasty. Definitely would order those again. They have a good selection of soups, and plan to try them on the next visit. They seem to keep the restaurant temperature colder than I would like and I'm glad I was wearing a long sleeve flannel shirt over top of a t-shirt. But I was not the only patron who thought it was too cold. They also could spend a bit more time tidying up the interior. But if you want some good Thai food, Thai Avenue would be a good choice. read more

My favorite Thai place in the Holland/Zeeland area. The food is always plated in an aesthetic way and enormous servings! I can hardly ever finish my meal which is fine for leftovers :) I always recommend this place and it's my go-to Thai place to dine in or take out. Their tofu is amazing compared to a lot of other restaurants I've been to. Only thing I would say that isn't the best is the restaurant could use an update on seating. Definitely one of my favorite Thai resteraunts in the area. Came here on a Sunday evening around 7pm and the place was still packed. We were seated immediately and orders were all taken promptly. We ordered a couple curry dishes, fried rice, appetizer, and noodle dishes. Instead of going through everything that we liked, it would be easier to go through the dislikes. The fried rice was a little bland but in terms of the portions size it was more than enough. Pair it up with any curry or appetizer and it works just fine. ALL other drinks and dishes ordered were 5/5 rated by my whole group. Everything was as expected or better :) Highly recommended to try this place out. I was craving some Thai food on Saturday night and my usual place was closed so I decided to try this one. I am sold! One of the best Thai food I've had. I tried the Pad Thai with chicken and I asked for medium spice. It was just perfect. My last place you could not control the amount of spice. It was either bland, or it would burn. I like that they have various level of spice that you can request. The noodles were a bit creamy, and it was perfect. I also tried the Tom kha coconut soup and it was delicious. If you have not tried this place in Zealand, it is definitely worth the drive. I am looking forward to trying different things on their menu. read more

Nice little shop with good food! Very generous portions. We stopped in on a cold Saturday afternoon and found this place to be hopping. There is a note on the front door that there is no table service because they are short staffed. The interior is clean and functional-great for lunch or a very casual dining experience. It's super easy to get on and off the highway to get here. We placed and order at the counter and paid up front. But she brought hot tea, water, and the food which was served very hot! Perfect way to warm up on a cold fall day. We shared two dishes- drunken noodles and chicken Thai fried rice. I wish I would have taken a side view of the dishes as they were mounds of goodness. Perfectly spiced mild for us. And I love the Thai basil in the fried rice. The drunken noodles were hot and savory with lots of still crunchy veggies. I called ahead because I have dietary restrictions, and just asking basic questions about the menu was met with resistance, rudeness, and defensive comments. Excellent Thai food! Good quality and great selection. I like the Pad Thai Curry, Yellow Curry, Drunken Noodles, and Kao Pad Basil. Ask for an extra side of peanut curry sauce for a little extra flavor. They have 5 different levels of spice for any dish, so if you ask them to make it spicy, it's spicy for real! So be aware. This used to be one of my go to spots before Covid. My favorite thing to order from here is the Thai Pad Basil (delicious fried rice) and I recommend getting it with the beef. I can also say I've tried every noodle dish there and they've all been great as well! Drunken is my favorite out of the noodle dishes. We are fans of their super egg rolls & sa-tay for appetizers. The Rangoon's have very little filling so those are a bummer. We've tried so many dishes, I can't even list them all! Since Covid, they've switched to to-go only and we found that a lot of our orders left us rather disappointed. The Pad Thai is much dryer, the rice dishes have tasted rather oily, and our egg rolls don't have that same crunch factor because they just steam in the go box. We also found that their spice levels are very inconsistent. We always get medium and sometimes it's extremely spicy and other times we're on a hunt for the heat. It's a bummer, it used to be a favorite of mine! Haven't been back in a while because we found a new favorite Thai place and once of the old chefs from Thai Ave works there now and he's cranking out our fav dishes like before! read more

Let me start off by saying that I'm Lao. I know what I'm getting for my money's worth when it comes to authentic Thai/Lao cuisine. The food is outstanding and the service is acceptable, BUT the prices are not. I'm from California where the cost of living is much higher and have been to many Thai/Lao restaurants that have WAY cheaper menus. People don't need to be spending a lot of money to get a grasp of our culture. Please lower your menu prices and maybe you'll be a 5 star restaurant. Affordability is key. P.S.
