We have eaten there several times before and have gotten the buffet, which is very very good. However, today they did not have the buffet, which at first we were disappointed, but it allowed us to try some new things. We started our order with two fresh vegetable spring rolls, which were very good and the dipping sauce was amazing. We then split a bowl of beef and meatball Pho which again was amazing and we had enough for leftovers to bring home. For entrees, wife went with the Hunan stirfry with chicken and I went with the Lard Na also with chicken. Needless to say, both were absolutely delicious but the stir fry was probably some of the best we've had anywhere! And again, enough leftovers to bring home. The chef is awesome and her husband, our waiter, was super friendly and informative explaining and answering all our questions. Great people and great food!

First time trying this restaurant and we have been to several Thai places in the area - we will definitely be back. Great flavor and all of the food was cooked perfectly. The owner was super friendly and the prices were very reasonable!

What a great story of the kids continuing on their parent's legacy after they retired to continue on with the business. I got to meet up my cousin for lunch here as we have been meaning to try the place out. Admittedly we were here for the buffet they occurs week days for sure from 11-2:30. I really appreciated the selection. I got to try the spring rolls, egg rolls, and crab rangoons for appetizers. I also got the pad thai, wide noodles, and egg noodles stir fry. I tried the larb, vermicelli salad, and papaya salad (super spicy so if you like that it was fire!). I lastly had 2 curries, and then the coconut milk dessert. I was way too stuffed to try the rest, which is saying a lot because I usually try everything. The staff was very hospitable. The price was reasonable and I will definitely be back.

Never open at the right time. It says they are open at 11 but they are never open that time. Horrible service.

The food variety is small, but the quality of the food makes up for it. Great texture and taste

YUCK! Won't be back. Dirty, low on food on the buffet during peak lunch hour. Not worth $13 for buffet.

We also sampled a variety of drinks. I liked the "Wish I Was on an Island" best. Our group of 5 ordered several entrées: Walleye sandwich, Great Lakes Walleye, Farmhouse pizza, and turkey club. Our sides included asparagus (our favorite!) and fries, which were seasoned just right. All the food was excellent. We shared and sampled and enjoyed everything. My favorite was the walleye, and I would definitely order it again. The atmosphere is wonderful, with beautiful views of the lake. Although we dined inside on this visit outside dining is enjoyable as well. The music selection was perfect! We all commented on it and the volume was just right. Loud enough to be enjoyed but still conversation-friendly. Boatwerks is quickly becoming our favorite restaurant. Whether we are sitting at the bar for appetizers and drinks, or enjoying dinner we have never had a food or drink that we haven't loved. Food presentation is attractive. And service is always excellent, especially at the bar.

Service is minimal since it's a buffet, but the staff was attentive to the food the entire time. They were constantly stirring, refreshing, and refilling the buffet, so everything stayed hot and looked fresh. The food itself was fresh and, for the most part, delicious. The chicken and broccoli was some of the best I've had at a Chinese buffet, and the hot and sour soup was outstanding. I was also pleasantly surprised by the variety. In addition to the hot buffet of Chinese favorites, there's a full salad bar, and a dessert section including an ice cream freezer with plenty of options. It was nice to see several families with young children enjoying dinner, which speaks to both the welcoming atmosphere and the affordability. If you're looking for a clean, budget-friendly Chinese buffet with fresh food and a good selection, this is definitely worth a visit.

The place was quite busy but they were able to seat us at a corner table. They have patio seating. They warn you ahead of time that if you opt for the patio seating, they cannot serve you alcoholic beverage there. Not a deal breaker for us but I was feeling a little chilly even with my sweater so we sat inside. Like I said, huge menu. Not just Japanese food but also some sort of a what I can only phrase a hybrid Asian dishes. For example, I ordered a spicy beef bibim noodle which was like a bibimbap and also like a ramen at the same time? It's hard to describe but it was good. It needed a little bit more salt though. The bowl came with a couple of couplings. Overall, the spice level was excellent for me. My husband had a bulgogi. Like I said, we came in with sushi in mind and somehow ended up with Korean/fusion dishes instead. Service was friendly but since they were busy, it took a little bit for our order to come. No big deal though. We weren't super hungry coming in so it was fine.
