thai iced tea with boba and regular thai iced tea so dang tasty
    Diane S.

10/10 Food is so so so good!! The teas were also delicious. Best thai iced tea i've ever had tbh. The workers are friendly and very helpful. Atmosphere is wonderful; nice music and sun shining through the large windows. First time here definitely going to come back and try more of the menu! Everything we tried today was 10/10 i have absolutely nothing bad to say :)

There are plenty of toppings to choose from and everything tastes super fresh. It's like Qdoba/Chipotle style where you pick what sauces and toppings you want then they whip it all together for you. First bite was a flavor explosion and continued throughout both the dishes. Yum yum sauce was on point. Service was quick and friendly. It is a bit pricey but the fiancé treated dinner on this night ;) A friend suggested their nachos which we will have to try next time. The space is shared with Gita Pita so there is a dining area that is in between both restaurants. If you felt like trying two places at once you knock that out by grabbing something from Gita Pita while you wait for your food from Char. Definitely will be back again and I'm glad to finally cross Char off my list!

The restaurant it self was clean and what you would expect for the style of restaurant. I would say that the order process online is a tad confusing but people I talked to were helpful and mad everything as desired with the help. The appetizers like the egg rolls and crab Rangoon seemed a tad expensive for what we got but did taste good.

Let me say there was absolutely nothing disappointing about this experience. For some idiotic reason I forgot to write down the name of my dish, probably cause I was shoving it into my mouth super fast but the one thing I can tell you was that it was amazing. The sheer mix of flavors was nothing short of a wild disco on my taste buds. It was so amazingly delicious, the service was impeccable and the setting so stunningly beautiful and I can't wait to come back again.

While warned it was spicy, I did not find it spicy. Yes, it had a touch of heat especially compared to Midwestern American diet, but it got neither my nose nor eyes running and only mildly hit my tongue. If you cook, you know you have to peel away all layers of an onion to the first fully hydrated layer. Partially dehydrated onion once cooked becomes like cardboard or paper. I found once such piece of onion in my dish. Since it was just one, it didn't ruin the dish but they need to peel more carefully in the future. They have good hummus. They serve it with sliced vegetables and pita. It's a generous amount of hummus and vegetables and pita and hummus didn't outlast the dippables and dippables didn't outlast the hummus. GET THE MANGO RICE! Wonderful, toasted, nutty almonds slivers, warm sautéd mango chunks with hint of cinnamon, warm sticky rice, and a lightly sweet cream to pour all over. Reasonable prices, many menu choices. Ambiance is basic but food is great.

Luckily, I was able to learn how to order thanks to the nice gentleman in front of me ordering whilst holding a conversation with me. Basically, the set up is a lot like Q-doba. You stand in line, choose your bowl size, choose your proteins and then toppings and sauce. I chose the regular bowl because it had 2 proteins and I just couldn't decide between spicy salmon and spicy tuna. My bowl was delicious! I was impressed with the amount of rice options, the quality of the poke, and the copious amounts of toppings and sauces to choose from. This place was fine for a lunch date where I met up with a friend I hadn't seen in 20+ years. Everything was delicious, though the milk tea with boba was a little too sweet for my taste. Overall, excellent lunch option, albeit a tad expensive for "fast food." My milk tea and regular poke bowl came up to over $22. Certainly worth it, but not a daily go to option on my budget. Def check out poke toki if you're in the area. The food is better than the pun this restaurant is named after. Now turn yourself about, and do the Poke Toki!

She immediately made us feel at home, was amazing with her menu descriptions and advice, and was present without being overly so. The restaurant is gorgeous, it's inside the Amway Grand Hotel. Carmen gave us plenty of great recommendations so we started off with brussel sprouts, calamari, and burrata. Hands down the brussel sprouts where everybody's favorite! We all had a different entree for dinner, and it was the first day of the new menu. I had the strip steak, it was supposed to be medium rare, it was definitely medium but so forgivable because of the excellent flavors. Others at the table tried the halibut, the salmon, the short rib, and the walleye fish and chips. Each meal was fully loved by it's recipient. We had a fantastic bottle of Caymus with our meal, plus one of my guests have a beautiful cocktail with a watermelon. I forgot what it's called. We didn't really want dessert, but creme brulee is my favorite and I wanted to taste the new passion fruit flavor. It wasn't my favorite, but that could also be because I'm a vanilla creme brulee devotee. The presentation was beautiful. Overall, I would 100% return to this location when back in the area and I will be asking for Carmen!
