Thai Aree - Pork Panang - Thai Near Me - Whittier, California

RECOMMEND: ORDER AHEAD OF TIME (like to go) Had the spicy string beans with tofu lunch special. It was a good portion for me and just the right level of spiciness for me. (I usually get medium at places, FYI). The string beans were a good crunch. The tofu was just ok. Pad Thai: very saucy, but still good. Our server was pretty on top of things. Water got filled really often ( I drink apt of water). Only complaint was how long the food took to come out. Seriously, another table that came AFTER we ordered got their food before us. Like what? I don't blame the server though. Just the kitchen. It took 27 minutes for me to get STRING BEANS AND TOFU. seriously. It wasn't even crazy crowded. Like five tables including us. Two of them tables of two. One table of four and two tables of three. -___- read more

Found this little gem just about two miles from home. I've been living in the area for some time now and often visit the 7-11 in the same plaza but has never noticed it. We were greeted immediately as we walked in by the sweetest host ever. She sat us down offered to get us our beverages and provide the menu. When she returned with the drinks she offered help if needed and recommended some great dishes! The soups were perfect the tea was just right and the food was delicious. Everything had a great portion of protein veggies and rice. I can't wait for our next trip back!!! I recommend the Tom yum koong! Spicy was great! read more

Some of the best Thai I've had in some time. Mimi, the owner, is nice and focused on her customers. Stopped on Sunday and it was busy, but the short wait is very worth it in the end. Spicy Chicken Wings are very, very good and a must try. Spicy Mint (Pad Ka Pao #33) is fantastic - proper mix of spice and heat with tasty vegetables cooked to perfection. While not special in appearance on outside, it is clean and quaint inside with a homestyle feel. Hidden gem in Whittier that is a definite must visit for authentic Thai food and service. read more
