The contractors at Forever Kitchens are extremely talented and truly have a passion for remodelling kitchens, and delivering a great experience for the customer. My complete kitchen remodel was handled seamlessly within 2 months from our first initial meeting and all from in our own home!! Amazing guidance with step by step process by this contractor with our total design we had planned for our new kitchen footprint and layout to cabinet selections and stone countertop selections, prestigious carpentry skills, drywall finish and plumbing to the tiling of backsplash, and our hardwood floor installation of the complete main level entrance to our new kitchen along with complete construction of a wall we had removed for a more open concept. They handled all city building permits seamlessly and the 2 onsite meetings with the city building code inspectors. From my 1st conversation to the final days of the project, the entire crew were always available to answer all my questions, on time, and professional. They cleaned up all the debris left daily and made it easy for our family's evening use of the kitchen. We were left only 2 days without a functioning kitchen, amazing experience ! They promised to deliver more than I asked for, we are so happy with the detail of our kitchen now! Well done Forever Kitchens team. Thank You Julia, David, Riley & Ellie

Even worse, it happened days before we were scheduled to leave for a long-awaited trip to see extended family. We really didn't want to miss it. Fortunately we knew this was a good contractor as they had done some excellent work for us previously. These guys came right away and got to work. We left on schedule. They ran tests and identified the type of mold present in the wall. Unfortunately moisture had been seeping in and/or condensing in all the foundation walls for some time, they discovered. They removed the mold and got the proper machines to dry and decontaminate the place. We decided to redo just about the whole basement, if they were up for it, and they were. They added various measures to prevent any future mold and improve energy efficiency, like waterproof insulation and regrading outside. And they added an egress window, backflow valve, some nice pot lights, and beautiful laminate flooring. All the work was completed promptly and to a high degree of quality. We are very happy with our basement and would not hesitate to recommend Forever Kitchens as a contractor.

From adorable themed ceramic salt shakers, to linen aprons, hand blown glasses in many colours, wooden cutting boards, or the tiniest most elegant set of gold cutlery -- they have it. It's the perfect shop for anyone looking to spend $15-25 on a simple gift, or to fix a problem you didn't know could be solved (like finding the perfect mess-free cookie scooper). The staff are usually friendly, though as a younger shopper I notice they tend to be more willing to chat with older shoppers rather than me. Perhaps to be expected in a home décor shop, haha.

I had to Google the name since I just think of it as "the other kitchen store" in the Glebe across from the Glebe Emporium. (Not counting CA Paradis, which is a whole different league altogether.) J.D. Adam is a gem that is easy to overlook. I went looking for a nutmeg grinder. The Emporium had one type, JDA had three (!) that were specifically for nutmeg and a range of other graters that would also work. If you are a cook, you will understand how important it is to have the right tool. If not, well, then none of this review makes any sense to you anyway. Price are good. Service is terrific. Friendly and helpful without being in your face. However, with the amount of stock they have in a small space, it is a good idea to just ask for what you need rather than hunt around. Nutmeg grater with cheese grater, not nut cracker, for example. I ended up buying microplanes and tea towels and thoroughly enjoyed my visit. (If you understood what I bought, then you should visit JD Adam yourself.)

I had a high-quality bathroom vanity with granite top installed several years ago, service was excellent and the work remains flawless. The showroom has a lot of nice setups and parts on display. Just this summer I did the full kitchen reno which took 14 days. The designer was knowledgeable and worked with me to accommodate my needs, various design tweaks and budgetary constraints. You can buy parts from their store or supply some yourself. Fees were reasonable, contractors were very polite and efficient.

The shower diverter, which cost $94 plus tax/labour, broke in just over 3 years. As a temporary measure, a cheap one ($30) installed on the wrong side of shower head for which I paid the labour of $113. With covid, gave them lots of time only to be told no replacement diverter for the correct side of shower head could be found. Wondered if owner knew what was going on, so mailed a letter to be opened by him only. No acknowledgement received after well over a month. So am left with a hand shower costing $265, a $94 diverter that broke, plus labour costs, which is not safe to use as installed on wrong side of shower head. I do prefer to give my business to local companies, but now it's sadly 'BUYER BEWARE'.

I was supposed to be a lucky customer because my order was in stock and I picked it up in 3 weeks with a rented truck. Yes but no. In a few days, the store called me and asked me if I had all the glass. It turned out one was missing. They had forgotten to give it to me, and since they repeated multiple times that a delivery service was not available, I had to rent the truck again. I told myself: "OK mistakes happen, no problem", so I rented the truck and went to pick it up. Well, the time for the installation came and guess what? WRONG GLASS, ladies and gentlemen! Waiting 1 more month only to see if they really have it in stock. Finally they called me saying they had it. I asked for compensation but they wanted to give me a store credit. A store credit?! Their store credit won't pay the rent of the truck, moreover my bathroom renovation is almost finished, only that freaking glass was missing! Am I recommending this business? Buyers, RUN AWAY from their stores! Maybe I am just an unlucky customer, or maybe they don't care at all about their customers. If it happens that you order from them, fingers crossed that they won't make a mistake with your order, because they're going to make you wait a great deal of time and make you pay for their mistakes and you are going to walk several times to their store and back to finally got what you really need. I don't recommend this business even to my enemies! My biggest mistake to shop there!
