So the set arrived upon delivery and I inspected everything, i was looking more for cracks, chips, flaws, the guys left and said if anything is wrong to call the store. I noticed the bench was wobbly. I called the store and asked to exchange it, they said someone would come to look at it (because I bought the extended Warranty) A month later they showed up, said the entire frame looks bad, said he would tell them it looks like a cracked frame and they should replace it and that the store would be in touch, another month goes by and I hear nothing, go into the store and talk to them, ask to switch out the bench for another one, they said they don't do that, and see a "PART" was on order?! I said there has been no communication, and asked what part? The entire frame is cracked or flawed since delivery. She said someone would be in touch with me. Another month later still no phone call, nothing....for a smaller company you'd expect them to care more about customer service, i spend $400.00 for an extended warranty, 3 months later have gotten nothing out of. I spent about $3100.00 in the store, I returned a lamp a week later and they wouldn't accept returns for anything, said I could only get an in store credit. The entire experience buying at this store was not really good. They are not going to be around very long if this is their approach. Too much competition and word travels fast. Unfortunately I have $310.00 i have to spend (in store credit) I wont buy buy anything here again or recommend them. 3 MONTHS of silence, nonsense and a runaround and still nothing, i am to go back into the store in November and demand to speak with the owner/Manager of the store about this nonsense. STAY AWAY !

I hope there was a "Zero" star…read moreThe sales portion was good up to the moment when you pay the whole amount of the order starting from there, nobody cares and not getting back to you I had a delivery date set to last Thursday (2nd appointment because they had few items back-ordered) then finally they confirmed, items became available so I took a day off waiting for their delivery, the guys showed up in a rental truck (Hertz)! and having just one item out of 4 items supposed to be delivered and they know nothing about the rest of the order I had to call the location 2 times, and then went to the store to find someone or a manager to escalate I was told she is not working today and she will call you back :) then 5 or 6 hours later, somebody called me with no idea as well and just asking me what was delivered and what is missing, (meaning the last 2 calls and visits had no record in their system) and even she couldn't locate the item at her system to see what was delivered then I was promised that she will do her check with the delivery team to see what is wrong and get back to me right now, it's already the third day, and nothing back regarding my order also, this is for a big order (more than $15,000 paid), not just a few chairs or accessories really regret to buy from Upper Room

(They also had a shelf dedicated to the skincare line I'm from, however they were out of stock of everything from that line.) The store is cute and aesthetic, and has the typical cute plushies and little accessories that most Korean stores tend to have in stock. They also have a variety of korean makeup products. However, something to note is that their prices are slightly more expensive than the average Korean product (like by a dollar or so, when compared to online retailers, but not a big deal at all). Something to note- currently, they have a "no refunds" policy. Only exchanges are permitted for "unopened beauty and electronics within 14 days after purchase with original receipt." The store is located across from the Sephora store in Bayshore Mall, which is perfect so you can grab all your beauty and skincare needs all at once! All in all, definitely a store you should check out!

They carry lots of green household products, health food items, natural cosmetics, sustainable clothing and more. Prices are on the higher end, but they do have a clearance section where they liquidate short-dated food items for fairly cheap. For clothes, they carry brands like prAna, Miik, and Toad and Co. There are fitting rooms at the back of the store. This location is huge. Much bigger than the one on Wellington Street. I love wandering around the store to see what they have. It's in the same plaza as Ikea, so the parking lot is always busy, but there are usually some available spots. Parking is free.

I pass it quiet frequently and always wanted to stop in, but it was never on the top of my priority list, especially with so many other thrift stores on that street. I had some Christmas items that I wanted to donate, and thought, this is my chance to check out Bibles for Missions. I could tell just from stepping up to the donation door that they bombarded with donations. The donation door was wide open and there were a couple of workers in the back, no greeting, acknowledgment, or thank you, so I plopped my donation down and decided to check out the store. The first thing that I noticed were the signs placed in the entrance "please leave big purses and bags at cash, we reserve the right to search your bag," and so on. Maybe there has been a lot of theft? Not sure, but it did not give me a friendly first impression. No greeting, or acknowledgment throughout the 15 minutes browsing the store, but there were plenty of staff on the sales floor for customer assistance/questions. I did not find that there was a great selection, it was like walking through grandmas basement. Nothing caught my eye here, and I was not "wowed" by anything in particular. What stands out about this thrift store than others, is that it is mostly volunteers, and the majority of the profit goes towards their partnership with the bible league of Canada.
