This Urban Barn is relatively new. It's in the Ottawa Trainyards, but the newer section where Nordstrom Rack, Figaro Coffee and Healthy Planet are. This Urban Barn seems much more fancy and upscale than the one I'd usually go to in Stittsville. I really like the displays. I find the prices a bit on the higher side for furniture, but more affordable for things like decorative bowls, pillows, picture frames, etc. Staff are nice and it's a fun place to browse, even if just to go for decorating ideas ;) Lots of free parking in the plaza parking lot.

I'm glad I took a picture of this place so at least I have proof that the place exists. Outside of its inability to be found in any Google search that I've tried, once you step into @Home, you're in for a decent time. @Home is a kitchenware store with a large assortment of different items that you can use in the kitchen or dining area. The items range from the strictly utilitarian (e.g., spring form pans - nothing fancy there) to the imaginative (e.g., elegantly shaped wine decanters). If you're looking for some interesting décor add-ons for your kitchen, or looking for something to theme your next party, this is probably a good place to start. It's not just the variety, but the quantity of items that is also overwhelming. There's tons of stuff that you can go through and, if you're so inclined, it's pretty easy to kill a half an hour in this little shop. Add to this it is an independent store and not a larger chain, so if you're into helping out the smaller business, this is a great store for you. Just don't try to Google your way there. Ah yes, Zone has seen a pretty penny from this lady. They have lots of stuff for your home, including furniture, and I also find that Zone is a great place to find unique gifts for bridal showers, etc. So here's the good and the bad. The good: This place is a delight to walk through. They have a unique selection of stuff for the home, and if you like to shop you will for sure love Zone. Their HQ is in Montreal, and all the staff are fully bilingual in this location. I saw another review of this place that disparaged the customer service, but that hasn't been my experience at all. I think the staff here are friendly, knowledgeable, and just plain lovely. If you see something you want that isn't in stock, they can order it in for you (usually from Montreal). The less-than-good: Normally when I walk in and buy something, the experience is seamless. There have been a couple of occasions where I had to have something ordered in because it was out of stock. On one occasion they neglected to call me when my item arrived, so I was waiting for quite a long time before I actually got it. When we ordered our couch, the delivery service was not the greatest. Last year literally every time I went into Zone to order something there were hiccups caused by the installation of a new inventory/POS system on the back end, which makes me think maybe the staff could have been trained better. The pros of this shop far outweigh the cons, and I love to come into Zone and take a peek around every now and then. People always ask "where did you get that?" about some of the quirky items in our home, and usually the answer is "Zone, in the market!"
