I was only innocently walking around the mall trying to attain my daily quota of steps!! It was the display at the front that called me into the store. Anyone who has ever gone into a Stokes knows that they offer tons of great kitchen gadgets, and usually at good and competitive prices. The sales on the day I went into the shop were no different. There were new, attractive fry pans made of unusual materials that I've never seen before, and which are non-stick, and they come in 2 sizes. The handle looks like it's wood, seamlessly attached to the pan. I wanted a lid to go with it, and the clerk very suavely lead me over to the hanging display of universal glass lids which fit 3 different sizes of pots and pans. This is dangerously good, as I prefer clear lids so that you can see what's happening inside the pot while you're cooking. Opening the lid to see inside releases all the heat, and it's not as energy efficient. So I was sold on this. Bonus: the edge of this lid is red silicone. Lovely! So the clerk cashed me out, but on the way through the sale, she segwayed into an extra sale: there are 3 or 4 different products on the counter that can be purchased at a discount when you spend over a certain dollar value. Most of the time these are not good for me (I've already got them!), except this display offered a kit that contained a peeler, kitchen scissors, and a ceramic knife. I've wanted to try a ceramic knife for a very long time. Let's just hope I won't cut off a limb when I try it! I can be a danger with a knife - dangerous to myself! My current peelers might be a bit dull already anyway. This kit was an extra $5 or $6; well worth it. Further bonus: with my receipt, I got a coupon for $15 off my next purchase (time limit about 1 month into the future), provided my purchase is over a specified dollar amount. That too will be dangerous! And for those of you not in the know, Stokes is affiliated with "Think Kitchens", one outlet that is conveniently located in the Tanger Outlet mall. That's another location where I can rack up the steps. And the coupon is good at either of these stores. Look out world!

We…read morehave been invoiced multiple times during our dealings with Hendrix and have paid the balance owing within a reasonable time line. However, in the beginning of 2012 they shut down their Peterborough Office and since then asked all their employees to work from home. One of the invoices was not paid within 30 days due to lack of communication on their side with our accounts payable department and so Hendrix charged us $1,104.92 in late payment charges. We spoke to Hendrix Accounts Receivable department and the manager on the phone was very rude and said that their sales representative had his cell phone on the whole time and we could have contacted him. The Hendrix AR Dept. was told that many times our sales rep. would not respond to his cell phone and had irregular hours due to the fact that they shut down his office and had to work from home. The Hendrix AR Dept. informed us that the reason why the late payment charges are so high is due to the fact that they would charge interest on top of the interest. All invoices for the equipment we purchased has been paid for in full with the exception of the ridiculous late payment charges that the Hendrix is asking for. We feel that Hendrix is bullying us to make a payment on an unjustified invoice they created.

Phone calls were frequently left unreturned and my question as to why installation could not be rescheduled when the rain stopped so early in the day, elicited the following response "because that is the way it is". Installers were also left cooling their heals as the company delivered the wrong windows and took their sweet time correcting their mistake. Finally, managers or individuals who could address these problems can never be reached, they are always "in meetings" and one is left dealing with a receptionist. Very frustrating to deal with -

We renovated our main floor and built a new kitchen using Cabinet Connection cupboards. The design…read moreprocess was good, Donna was lovely and Steve and Carlos were nice. The issues occurred after the cupboards were in. Handles were added before proper adjustments were made to the drawers so rubbing drawers scratched the handles. A visit was needed to replace these. It occurred again and another visit was needed. There were multiple visits in fact, to straight a door or misaligned drawer here, add a panel there, replace push door mechanisms, touch up so so so many chips, the list goes on and on; and these were all one-off visits where I had to arrange to be home from work. Scheduling and organization after the initial install was a nightmare. As well, the cupboards chipped very easily right from the start. The quality is shit to put it bluntly. This is our 5th kitchen (3 were paint) and I have never had quality issues like this. Unfortunately for us, we paid Carlos thinking that Cabinet Connection would have the decency to meet their obligations. They sent someone to do touch ups a couple of times but have refused to replace the doors - there are 2 in particular that now look over 10 yrs old and we have had them for 19 months. We begged them to come back and fix these doors recently so they came and did more touch ups, refusing to replace them. The touch up paint lasted 2 weeks. We have friends that flip houses and they recommended Cabinet Connection. However they never had to live with the cupboards after the install so did not see the horrendous quality or lack of understanding, lack of pride, or lack of customer service that the company actually has in the products they provide. Do not get your cupboards here unless you do not plan to live with them. It is so frustrating to work so hard, save your money to put toward a kitchen you have been dreaming about and then be left feeling cheated and disappointed. I feel like we have been swindled and the seller could care less as they received the pay cheque they were after. You are more than welcome to contact me and come by to see our cupboards before deciding on cabinet connection. I do not want another person to suffer through the experience we have.

We loved that it's a local store and we try to support local in our purchases whenever possible. They have a variety of furniture on the floor as well as decor of all kinds. The team at Blueprint Home was absolutely great! Karrie and Kim were very knowledgeable and helpful when we explained to them what we were looking for. We could tell that they are passionate about what they do and actually care about providing excellent service to their clients. We ended up buying a Lind leather couch and love seat for a good deal. We ordered them in July and we were expecting to receive them at the end of November, but the shipment arrived early November instead. It was a pleasant surprise! The white glove delivery experience was amazing and we're very content with our overall experience with Blueprint Home. We're planning on going back to get more furniture and decor there in the future. We highly recommend them!

Yesterday i went to return an item. I was told the returns was down as the person dealing with this…read morewas not in. I asked to see the manager to discuss this further and upon the manager arriving I got the exact same response. I asked the manager whether I was able to able to exchange the product for another item and if there are able to manually write down the item for which i had a receipt for and was still declined. When the manager noticed my frustration, in-order to get rid of me I was told to please go ahead and make a complaint if i was not happy about the service. Me personally being in the customer service business I definitely though this was highly un-professional and that this situation could have been dealt with better or for CT to have a back-up plan in place.
