I needed someone to do some work on my roof quickly in preparation for a solar company to install…read moresolar panels on my roof. Yucob Rylander was recommended to me by his cousin, and seemed to be an honest person, and said he could do the job. At the time he represented Klien Roofing. After he started the roof repairs, he informed me that he was starting his own company, YRoofing and Floors. I was a little apprehensive about the situation, but I thought that he was an upstanding individual, so I continued on with the situation as I saw no other recourse, considering the time frame that I was having the solar panels installed.
Due to this roofing situation that I have become involved with Yucob Rylander in, I had to cancel the solar panel project until I get Yucob Rylander straightened out. Solar energy has gone up considerably so I will have to sue him for the difference.
Mr. Rylander did not perform any of the work on the roof that we agreed upon.
1. The turtle vents that were removed and replaced with matching shingles (not done correctly).
2. The roof leak above the east side bathroom (not done correctly).
3. The roof leak above the kitchen area on the west side of the house (not done correctly).
4. Painting all pipe vents a brown color (not done at all).
5. Clean up after the work was done (not done correctly).
Mr. Rylander did not provide me with a copy of any contract before, during, or after he performed the work on my roof. When asked for his insurance so that I could file a claim for the leak above the kitchen, Mr. Rylander refused to give it to me by ignoring the request and continuing to give me excuses about the roof work.
One of his excuses were; "First of all we didn't do your pipes so the leak that's in your kitchen had nothing to do with what you asked us to do." Which is ridiculous because the roof leak was one of the main reasons that he was called to do the work. Saying that they weren't there to fix the leaks, when in fact they were, and that is why I demanded his insurance, which after conversations about his insurance I do not believe he has insurance.
The attached photos show how bad he matched the color of the shingles. You can see by the photos how bad it looks, the way he put a totally different color of shingles on the roof, and did not even fix the roof leaks. I will have to hire another roofing company to fix the leak and to match the roofing shingles.
I thought in the beginning that the man was honest, and I wanted to help him, to the point that I even relented reluctantly to have him rent my truck. He conned me into leasing him my truck at his rate, $300 a month, of which he has not paid. He said he would get insurance for him to drive the truck, and HE DID NOT!
* He got one PARKING VIOLATION, that I know of. The cost of the ticket was $255.00.
* Said parking violation from the City of Houston is pictured also, and he was texted to take care of it.
* He did not take care of it, and I had to take care of it to keep action by the City of Houston against me.
* He is keeping the keys to my truck as in his words, collateral until I pay him $600 that wants. He, by keeping the keys has a charge of $300 a month for rental of the truck until he returns them.
* He even broke the driver and passenger inside door handles, why? That is an additional charge I will have to collect!
I know that Mr. Rylander is not a bona fide "Certified Roofing Inspector", because the number that he gave, 2804960, only shows him to be a licensed Insurance agent to sell Life, Accident, Health and HMO insurance (pictured). The company has since pulled his license to sell.
Then the second number that he started using on Jan 18, 2023 where he uses a FAKE EIN #88-4299703 as his license when the State of Texas does not issue licenses to roofing companies
Mr. Rylander's habitual con artist mentality keeps it up by doing the following.

YRoofing also does business as an apartment complex? I wish he would stick with one thing he is good at, if he can figure out what that is!
Now that I realize I have been duped, I have to start all over, after I get my money back, I have to hire another roofing company to fix Mr. Rylander's screwup.
In the Insurance business last year, and it looks like he was in another field of sales before that, I would like to know how he has 20 years as a roofer in less than 2 years as a roofing salesman.
NO, I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY OR THIS MAN TO WORK ON ANYTHING!
