Dr Andrew Park is incredible! I have had 6 back surgeries since 1998, the last 4 by him. He had done surgery in my son and my son strongly suggested I get a second opinion. I'm thankful. Dr Park aims to take a person in pain and get them back into life. If it cannot be fixed, he's honest about it. He's conservative concerning surgery and I really appreciate that. I went to see Dr. Karl as he came highly recommended and apparently works with a lot of professional athletes. If you are gay or a female then you're probably giving him 5 stars simply based on appearance. I'm neither so we'll move on. Dr. Karl: 4-5 stars - he's highly recommended, knowledgeable, friendly, seems down to earth. Some said he's a little cocky, but I didn't find that to be the case. He checked out my back, said he could do surgery, but wouldn't recommend it as there's still too many other options and then referred me to another doctor for a spinal injection. He also mentioned getting me some pain killers and some exercises to strengthen my back after herniating a disc. Based on our visit alone it would have been great. His staff: 1 star... they failed in pretty much every possible way. I have a HERNIATED Disc and was in constant debilitating pain and it took them 1 MONTH to get me in. In addition, they didn't provide the prescription for the pain killers and when I followed up to ask them about it and they called it in, they mis-spelled my name. Also, they didn't provide the exercises we discussed. Then they gave no direction on follow up or how to proceed or anything so as to give me a road map of what was next. It was a huge cluster. Location: 1 star... It's at the Baylor hospital complex which means you need to have a degree in geography to find the correct building and then get a parking spot while avoiding being mugged... My recommendation, see if he practices at another facility and go there! read more

Coming from a terrible place (Spine Institute) this place is awesome!! From the valet, to nurses, to my physician! My wait in the waiting room is NEVER more than five minutes. The on call doctor handled my husbands questions post-op with grace (this was my first surgery ever and the first surgery together). My questions never seem dumb or silly. Every single XRay is explained to me in every detail. The nurses are very pleasant and easy to talk to! Even the valet guys are great! Some jackass in a corvette parked in the handicap spit so I couldn't park close for my follow up appointment and they took care of it for me! read more

I am on my 3rd neck surgery so I feel like I've gotten to know Dr Park's staff pretty well! Dr. Park is absolutely amazing, caring and has a great bedside manner. Dr. Lee, Eddie (ROLL TIDE!) Linda, Vicky, Liliana and Tyler are some of the most caring and attentive staff I've ever met. It was very busy on my last follow up and after watching staff in different areas come help check out or do whatever to jump in and help where help was needed. I hope this will be my last surgery and I appreciate Dr Park taking steps into ensure that my surgery can not fail. I was actual referred to Dr Park from my hand surgeon, Dr Ellis. My theory is that if doctors usually know the best surgeons in other areas and have a trust in who they refer, and I was correct! First time visiting this place, was referred by a pain management doctor. I am now a patient of Dr. Hennessy's and must say, this is one of the best spine-focused practices I've been to. The staff are AMAZINGLY organized. They give you as much info straight-up as possible, and they work with you on your medical situation. They truly do seem to care about your well-being and they do not push for invasive surgical procedures unless absolutely necessary. They gave me lots of useful information on what to look for before fusion surgery would be necessary, as well as recommending other pain management methods I could try if I didn't feel ready for surgery yet. Unlike other surgical practices out there, I do not believe this clinic is a surgery-churning machine (those cost your insurance a ton of money!). These people really seem to put your health and well-being first. I highly recommend Dr. Michael Hennessy or any of their team. Dr. Hennessy is extremely straightforward about your situation, and he gives you the full details of the risks you face with every treatment method. I always have tons of questions with every visit, and he has never minded answering any of them in detail and then some. Also in Dr. Hennessy's team: Danna, his scheduler, is amazing and so on-point, and Lindsey, his PA, always has encouraging words to share with every followup! Highly recommend. read more

Staff is awful. Mishandling on their part means nothing but an "I'm sorry" with no amends to follow. Ramona, who oversees the administrative office, after making me wait over an hour, mainly because of the offices negligence, she tells me she can't squeeze me in another time because they can't make patients wait if they are "there for their appointment time" yet making me wait for 30 minutes before even giving my paperwork was no problem. Then when the doctor was told about the incident somehow I was represented as the terrible person even though I was a model patient and mother of a patient who had two major back surgeries from the doctor at his old office and he believed them without even hearing my side. I will never go back no matter how good any of the doctors are, especially Dr. Carmody. read more

Dr. Carll & his entire staff exceeded my expectations! After 4 years of sciatic & leg pain, numbness & swelling...endless nerve blocks & injections that didn't work... a year of PT (total waste of time & money)...and giving up my career and my love for exercise... I had almost given up . Until I was referred to Dr. Carll! He didn't waste my time. He confirmed what I knew 4 years ago that the pain was coming from my L-5 stress fractures & herniated disc. He did explain in great detail why it was necessary to do evasive surgery. Dr. Carll is friendly, calm, kind and down to earth! Immediately I felt I had finally found someone to 'fix me'. So I had a 360 fusion with spinal decompression on May 9th. I spent only 3 days in the hospital. They had me up walking that first evening! One week later I was at a block party in my neighborhood (wearing a brace)! 2 1/2 weeks post- I no longer needed my brace! 6 weeks post-op I was able to do yoga, bike, walk, elliptical, etc! I never imagined such a quick recovery! I had met people who spent 3 months in bed and lived on pain meds. I never took a single pain pill! I only needed Tylenol and muscle relaxers for the first 2 weeks! I'm 8 weeks post-op now and doing great! From start to finish - I give Texas spine Consultants 5 stars! His support team have flawless follow-up! Everyone is so friendly, upbeat and efficient! I saw Dr. Carll in the north Dallas & Frisco locations. I had my surgery at Craig Ranch hospital ...couldn't have asked for better care! It is understandable how Dr. Carll has such award winning customer satisfaction! A review on the billing department. I went in for my visit in April. They told me I owed $199 when I left. I paid it. My insurance sent me my EOB (explanation of benefits). It stated I only needed to pay $150. It's October and they still haven't sent my money. I had to have Cigna call them before they'd even acknowledge they owed me the money. So dissappointing. Not sure how these billing practices aren't illegal. The doctors might be good, not sure. I ultimately didn't need the $1500 MRI they wanted me to get. Don't pay until your insurance company is billed first. Don't let them bully you into paying when you visit. They want to over charge you and hope you don't know it and they can keep the money read more

Just like other reviews, Dr. Carol came highly recommended. His staff lacks attention to detail and follow through. I had to ask them 2x to call in a prescription over 3 days. I also had to ask them 3x and 3 weeks to get me my MRI. 1 or 2 times happens but 5x in a month is a pattern. It seems that is a cultural thing. And from a surgeon I expect a high level of competence from all there staff and I did not see any. I hate leaving this but i feel it is irresponsible of me not to share my experience. read more

I saw dr Hennessey about my back and leg pain. I walked in with over 1000 c/t and xrays. After waiting an hour or so the first things he orders is more x rays. Then talks me into a genetic test ( a 4800.00 piss test) to see if im allergic to anything( I already told him im not allergic to anything) He spent only 30 minutes with me and said because I smoke is why my back(and only back) hurts?!? He orders 3 months of physical therapy. I actually did what he said and I got worse! I called to tell him I don't think he is correct and I want to see another doctor but wait!!!!! "We cant give you to another doctor here. That is conflict of interest" BS They are just covering their a**. When I tell him finally that spending thousands of dollars has not helped my heath Iwas told" Well,,,, sometimes in medicine your wallet gets thinner but you may or may not fell better" What kind of doctor treats their patients this way!!!! Im a human not a damn toy to play with. Also im not a money pit either. I will never visit this place again and I suggest you don't. Unless you just like wasting time and money of course. read more
