I was armed with not one, but two MRIs from other doctors, ready to hear the dreaded "Let's schedule surgery" speech. Instead, I met with a genuine, down to earth, personable doctor that actually listened to all my complaints and I mean all of them lol. Not just "my back hurts," but also my entire medical history. Dr. Desaloms already has my MRIs up on a giant screen ready to review my issues. This office clearly invests in top-notch technology, and it shows. Love his PA Stephanie (extra bonus points for having her in his back pocket!). He's not the kind of neurosurgeon who pushes surgery just because he can. I may need it someday, but right now he's focused on what's best for me. That kind of organic, patient-first approach is rare. The entire staff at Dallas Neurosurgical and Spine, from the front desk, tech, PA to billing -- were exceptional people who obviously enjoy (and love) their jobs!

He didn't care to read it, a secretary said he wasn't obligated to read the mri since he didn't order it and dropped me as a patient after expressing how awful everything was going for me in my life due to this. 15 mo post op c5c6 fusion.... one simple layer... i'll never understand, but i am willing to pay 10k to d13 w VAD because of the debilitating pain i have been suffering in since 35 yo til now 38 yo.... almost graduated NP school, and couldn't, just 3 semesters away.... life i worked so hard for, completely ruined. I…read morehope no one treats him like how he treats patients that are not a good source of revenue for him (ie surgery). After asking for all my health records, he made me wait 10 days in pain, for an appointment (which is fine, I agreed to wait so not his fault at all). Literally 2 minutes before my appointment as I'm driving in, he makes his front desk call me and say he cannot see me. He saw my charts probably just then, realized that I had a steroid shot so he probably could not do surgery, so said I need to wait 6 weeks and go back to my doctor that gave me the shot originally. Or else I can see another doctor at his practice! If it is a medical reason he cannot see me for 6 weeks after my shot, then I should not be able to see anyone else either! If it's not a medical reason why he cannot see me, then what changed in 10 days? I asked the front desk why am I being told literally 2 minutes before my appointment that he doesn't want to see me. He had complete disregard for my time, and shows his character on how he treats people. I would avoid these doctors that have the God syndrome that they can treat people anyway they like because they are above everyone else.

Great "bedside" manner and explained how I should handle my arm to minimize movement/stress to the elbow and allow time for that area to heal. I was very impressed with the office - from my front desk experience, to my dialogue with the tech who saw me prior to Dr. Lund, and to the exit area which set-up my next appointment. First class operation, and Dr. Lund is fantastic. I highly recommend!

Oh I am so excited to be writing this review…read more First, I appreciate the ability the fire hostile clients. I was not a hostile client. Was I fired because I hurt Sorin's ego, or was it because my sister wrote a bad review of HER experience? I have been a patient of NTINH for over a decade, and in the approximately 50-80 appointments, I was late by 5 minutes one time, and missed 1 appointment due to Apple's "wonderful" update that turns off the alarm sound if you move your phone. I paid the no-show fee without complaint as it was my fault. Second, I received a "certified mail/registered return receipt" that was absolutely not sent by either, I received it by plain, regular first class mail. Lying seems to be second nature to NTINH. I recently started Botox to treat my migraines. It has been, administratively, a nightmare. There was no pamphlet to explain what to expect or how it works. No one ever provided me with the paper aftercare instructions; I had to pick them up myself at the 6-week follow-up. Each time I scheduled an appointment, I was called before my appointment and told that I needed to move my appointment as Paige wasn't available on those days. Both times, the length of time between the call and my new appointment was too short for me to request an update to my time off, and I then had to involve my manager, making everything twice as complicated. Physically, my second Botox appointment was with Sorin (who was very condescending), and it was so much more painful than Ms Wolfe. The front desk staff, particularly in the Plano location, seem not to have evolved beyond high school mean girls. Elaine Timm is one of the meanest doctors I have ever dealt with. That sounds juvenile but holy God was she awful. Every time I went I dreaded going, and ended up with a stress migraine/headache. She withheld useful pain management information for over a year for some unknown reason. The only useful thing she did was suggest Ajovy/Aimovig, otherwise I stayed at status quo for the entire time I was with her. Frankly, the one star is because I have to and because Dr El-Hag was quite kind.

In the past two years, I've found the lack of empathy from the doctors so disheartening. There is a lack of thorough examinations, as well as collaborating on symptom management. It is their way or the highway. The nurse and medical assistant turnover rate is astounding. The lack of trauma informed care is immensely damaging to chronically ill patients already dealing with too much. Then there is the constant run around with scheduling, insurance, and billing, all of which is headache inducing. I'm so glad my time at this clinic is over. I look forward to finding a clinic where I'm treated with the dignity I deserve as a human being.

She worked with me to figure out the best medication to prevent my migraines and treat them as they come. We were able to get my migraines down from twice a week to twice a month, if that. My wife got a referral, and finally got an appointment after weeks of trying, then had to change it. Tried for days to communicate and they would not pick up the phone, so she was a no show. Called to reschedule almost every day for 2 to 3 weeks after that with no response, then went to the office in person and was eventually told that they were not going to take her in as a patient because she was a no call / no show. She called multiple times and left voicemails. Your incompetence is a waste of our time and prolongs an important medical diagnosis. Shame on you. People, get your referrals to a different neuro. Not worth the stress, you can do better.
