I absolutely love TSA! The staff is so amazing, so hands on and warm. They love these babies as their own. The location is so convenient, with an even closer location coming soon, I can 100% say there is no other spanish immersion program in the Georgetown, Round Rock, Cedar Park, Leander area that comes close. I have toured others but this location is the one that stole my heart. The Saturday Spanish Fun Day is my all time favorite thing to do with my kiddos. You can meet the other parents and really see how much of an impact the environment has on the littles. read more

Apparently my review was removed, and now I'm sure others who have also had negative experiences had the same done to their reviews. We had our daughter attend the downtown campus this summer and first few weeks of fall. I felt that the communication between the teachers and parents was lacking and come to find out the teachers do not speak english. When we toured the school, we were told the teachers would only speak spanish, as it is a spanish immersion program. However, with preschoolers, it is essential they at least are able to understand what the children are saying and be able to attend to their needs (even if it's in spanish). We noticed our daughter was coming home upset and nothing was being said when I would pick her up from school, so I assumed it was nothing serious. Well, one day at pick up she was clearly being bullied by 2 kids, and although the teacher witnessed this behavior, she did nothing to intervene or use this as an educational opportunity to show inclusivity and kindness. We had a meeting with the teacher and director and we came to the conclusion that the language barrier was the cause. The owner was not understanding and blamed us for not bringing it up sooner. How could we, if the teachers are not communicating? With there being so many other great school/daycare options, I would not recommend this one. The value is not there, the curriculum is lacking for the preschool age group, and the way they handle business is unprofessional. read more

Our daughter was being isolated, verbally bullied and put in timeout from the other students with no intervention from the staff. We had a meeting with the superintendent and teacher to ask about why this was happening and we were told the teachers can't speak english so they didn't know what was being said between the children. I only found out after I heard it first hand while dropping my daughter off one morning. In the end, we decided to have her withdrawn to avoid further bullying. We kindly requested a refund for a finals months deposit but were denied given that we didn't give a 30 day notice. However, giving a 30 day notice in this situation would've been impossible given the circumstances and we feel like the right thing to do, would've been to give us a refund for the final months deposit. Just wanted to post this as a heads up to other parents and make people aware of how TSA handles business. Very unprofessional and were only looking out for themselves in the end. Would give zero stars if I could. read more

This is such a caring and thoughtful organization - both teachers and leadership have the kiddos in mind all the time developing sweet relationships with them and getting them excited about learning while you are at work! . It's wonderful to give the gift of a second language at this early age. This is the time to learn and be immersed and they know exactly how to get your kid excited about Spanish. Our 2 year old loves the place. When covid hit, they pivoted to Zoom classes temporarily and he loved those!! read more

My kids have attended Oak Hill Spanish Learning Center for 2 years now. OHSLC is expanding out of Edina's home and in to a larger facility called Texas Spanish Academy. Edina will still be the director and I expect that she will give the kids the same wonderful care at her new facility as she has at OHSLC. For the past two years, Edina has cared for both my kids (my daughter from when she was 2 yrs old and my son from when he was 12 wks old). She has treated them both with love and as if they were her own kids. I have never had any issues with the care they have received. Both kids loved seeing Miss Edina everyday and looked forward to going to school with their friends. Both of my kids have a full understanding of the Spanish language. We went to Mexico a couple of weeks ago and they understood everything people said to them in Spanish. My daughter started out switching Spanish words in to English sentences. As she has matured in her language, she now understands that it is two different languages and can even tell me how to say many words in Spanish when i ask her to translate! I also feel that my now almost 4 year old is ready for kindergarten. She knows the sounds of all her letters and is starting to sound out words. She can count in English and Spanish. Edina and Miss Vianca at OHSLC have really spent time teaching her and getting her prepared for kinder next year. I look forward to continuing her Spanish immersion in the kinder dual language program. I would highly recommend Texas Spanish Academy to anyone. Miss Edina is a wonderful teacher and loves all her kids and works hard to make a fun, educational experience for them. read more

It was a difficult decision to send our child to daycare during the pandemic, but we are so glad we sent our baby to Texas Spanish Academy. She was barely able to roll over when we sent her, and my husband and I agree that she would not have hit her developmental milestones as well without the care and support she receives at TxSA. We especially love the downtown campus since it's smaller and feels more like a little community. You feel like your child is a celebrity when you drop them off at the door, and the network of parents is great. She loves going to daycare each day and I now think it would be worth sending her even if we weren't both working full time because of the staff's knowledge in child development. They send pictures and videos that are so fun to get throughout the day! read more

I absolutely adore this school for my daughter, Chloe. She has been attending since March, and the whole staff and director Edina could not be more accommodating to us. Chloe is very attached to me. She breastfed for 16 months, and I feel she has some separation anxiety from it. Some days are good says when dropping her off, but others she screams so badly, it just breaks my heart. The staff is so sweet and says they don't mind dealing with her crying after I leave. I couldn't have handled it if I felt both bad for Chloe, AND bad because the staff was mad. They were just so sweet. Also, they are one of the only schools that allow me to put Chloe in only 3 days a weeks, and 4 hours a day! All the other places that weren't a drop in wanted to charge me for 3 full days, which was double what I should have been paying. And to top it off, half of my daughter's words are in Spanish! She is learning so much, and comes home with new artwork every single day! I can't say enough about Edina and this school. I am truly grateful to have found her. read more

I have been so pleased with Texas Spanish Academy downtown campus. The teachers are very attentive and loving towards the children. The teachers get to know the kiddos' individual personalities and work to develop their strengths and weaknesses. My child loves going to school, and that gives me great peace of mind. TXSA teachers are THE most tender, doting ladies made apparent through the love and care they show their students. Their kindness extends to anyone who walks in the door--I am always greeted with an energetic smile and "buenos dias" from the teachers and staff. Never once has my one-year old shed a tear or shown signs of apprehension upon us leaving her, in fact, she gets excited when it's time to leave for school in the morning. I love that TXSA is not just a daycare, but a community with planned events outside of regular school hours and in-class festivities to celebrate different holidays. I am confident my daughter receives excellent care while learning a valuable second language. My so has been attending school here since he was 2 years old. He is fully bilingual now and has a great relationship with his teachers. You can tell that it is more than just a job for them. My only complaint, which isn't really a complaint, is that he will be moving on to Kinder soon so I hope they can open up an after school program or summer camp so he can maintain his bilingual status as neither my husband or I are bilingual. read more

Long story short safety is very poor, the place smells bad, the room for the infant class is terribly small, management is poorly done, hygiene habits are bad and the infants spend most of their time in High chair!! Please think twice before you take your infant to this place. read more

Our family was one of the first enrolled and it has been a wonderful experience. The teachers are very nice and most importantly take care of the children with great care. Additionally to have an english speaking child learn spanish in this environment is all bonus. We have had our child there from 1.5 years to now 5 years of age. I love this school! True learning takes place here every single day. When I hear other people brag about their child's school, I like to ask, "What specifically are they learning?" They usually look at me with blank expressions. They know what their child is doing - work sheets, singing songs, coloring letters; but not what their child is actually learning. We moved our daughter (3) to Texas Spanish Academy when they opened. We were coincidentally looking for a summer Spanish immersion program when we heard about this school at a Round Rock community fair. Since we were becoming increasingly unhappy with her old corporate daycare we looked forward to something different, but were hesistant about the transition. We ended up incredibly surprised! Going from 20 kids to about 5 has helped our daughter come out of her shell and has given her the more personal attention needed to focus on getting ready for preschool. In the last 2 months she has learned so many words, phrases, and sentences in Spanish that we lost count! She trades out words now (Mommy, can I have some leche por favor?) and understands a lot of what I tell her. I am bilingual but my husband is not, so I rarely spoke it at home. I love how the teachers are native speakers - it helps a lot with proper pronunciation (a-wa versus a-goo-a). We also enjoy the feeling of family Sra. Edina and Sr. Matt convey through Parents Night Out and Family Night Out. It's hard to find a preschool that teaches the kids what they need to know and also gives you the warm fuzzies. We are so glad to have found TSA!!!! read more
