It took 17 minutes for them to "pull it together" and check us out. They move so slowly. Customers knew what they wanted (since we had so much time to decide while waiting) I just don't understand why they are so slow. I had a sour cream donut and it was very good. Fresh, sweet and light. Our cake donuts were pretty gummy. Maybe it's the humidity in Rockport? Idk, trying to give them the benefit of the doubt but it was only 10am. My husband had a sausage, egg, cheese croissant and said it was pretty good. My ham and cheese croissant was just ok. This place is so dated and old you can't really tell how clean it Is. I passed several donut places to get here because it had a higher review... not sure why. It's just ok. I'll try the closer ones next time.

I chose this bakery based off reviews. To be frank, I'm pretty allowing of food, and I don't have…read morethe highest expectations, especially when it comes to small town bakeries. I've lived all over the country and have had my share of bakeries, but the reviews are surprising because it's not the best, in my opinion. For 5 kolaches (small and one specialty), 3 long john donuts, and a plain coffee, it cost me $30. The specialty kolache was boudin and tasteless. Service was OK, nothing amazing, but that's OK because it's counter help (although the machine did ask for a tip when I paid which I didn't like). If you're stopping by for a couple donuts for your kid, or a plain coffee, not bad! Otherwise way too overpriced for the food.

It's made the Chicago way with plenty of mustard, bright green sweet relish, onions, fresh tomato wedges, juicy sport peppers, dill pickle spear, and celery salt on a soft bun. You cannot eat any better. The Vienna Beef is a hoagie roll stuffed with thin slices of juicy roast beef and covered in grilled onions and bell peppers and then ladled with a little "juice" (au jus). You can order the spicy version that has giardiniera (pickled spicy veg mix). Delish. They have a couple other hot dogs, polish dogs, and Italian sausage dogs as well as hamburgers. They also have specials like the dog wrapped in bacon, smothered in chili and cheese, and topped with crumbled bacon. To die for! I don't remember the name, just the taste.
