Texas Roadhouse is my guilty pleasure. Today I took my son here for his birthday, and it didn't disappoint. I had a filet, perfectly mid rare. Delicious steak, and flavorful. Better than Ruth's Chris. He had the ribs, with rice and a Caesar salad. Couple of nice fruity cocktails rounded out the meal. Went on a Saturday just a week after the grand opening in early October 2012. Used call ahead seating for a group of 7 and were seated with 10 minutes of our call ahead time. Well exceeded our expectations. The service was attentive, the food great quality! Their steaks are the best of any steakhouse chain, they are hand cut in the restuarant (rather than the pre-cut potion controlled approach like Outback uses). You can even choose your raw steak if you'd like, and they will then cook that one for you. Most of the steaks ordered were slightly overdone, but not a big problem, hardly worth mentioning, but it you like a true medium, perhaps order medium rare. The potatoes were freshly baked and not steamed in a warmer. The salad was cold and crisp without the brown and wilted greens so common in many restaurants. The only downside of the visit was the noise level! We could not hold conversation at the table without yelling, and it seemed that the more people yelled to be heard the louder they turned the music up! To make matters worse, the staff spend the whole night moving from one table to another shouting at the top of their lungs to celebrate someone's birthday or other event! Ridiculous! Some may think it cute, but come on..... Shouldn't the focus be on the food and service rather than some gitchy performance? read more

Have eaten here a number of times and as much as I hate to say this, almost each and every experience has been horrible. Last visit walked in as they first opened thinking I could grab a quick and early dinner. Walked in and was seated immediately, but took 15 minutes for someone to acknowledge me once seated and another 5 minutes to take order...then it was a full 25 minutes AFTER MY ORDER WAS TAKEN, AND STILL no food. Waitress is no where to be found. She appears shortly thereafter from "being in the back" for 20 minutes. I ask her were my food might be. She asks if I am eating there. She assumes my order was carry out...I never said I was carrying the food out or it was to go! Finally 15 minutes later food arrives...but no salad. That should have arrived 5 minutes after my order. One of my favorite things...an inconsiderate waiter or waitress plopping everything that you ordered down at once so you have to force feed your saIad so that your main entree is still warm! I am beside myself at this point since I had a limited amount of time to begin with. I budgeted 45 minutes to eat. Seems this is totally unrealistic with this place, even with very few people there and being ready to order immediately when you arrive. Very pissed at this point with no appetite. After a very non productive discussion with a young and totally clueless assitant manager (all while staring at my cold food, salad never did arrive) I leave without eating anything. Young assistant manager has no interest in trying to correct anything. She will talk to her staff in private. Wasted over an hour. The staff was too busy clowning around with each other and geting ready for the dinner rush to deal with people that arrive as the place opened. Entire staff is high school and college aged and included is the typical generation Y attitude (laziness, complacency, narcissism and self gratifing egos)...to be expected from kids that are there to make some spending money, but mostly for their general entertainment. Went for dinner last night (crazy, I know.). More like Texas Madhouse on a Friday! Put on a 30-40 minute wait, and was sat within that time frame. Sat in a giant comfy booth in the bar area. We were greeted promptly, but our server seemed to not want to be there. No smiles, very quiet voice. Appetizer (cactus bloom) was great. Hot and crispy and not as greasy as outbacks. I ordered the combo with the ribeye and shrimp. The steak was cooked properly even though it was super thin. I've never seen a ribeye that's less than 1/4" thick. The entree itself was rather underwhelming. My boyfriend got the ribs, and the other couple got sirloin steaks. Everything came out cooked to temp. Would have given more stars if server was more friendly. The only time we saw her smile was when she realized we gave her a 25% tip! All in all, I'll go back if I'm invited, but I wouldn't choose this place for anything other than carry out! read more

We have been coming to this Texas Roadhouse since the day it opened... We have done carryout for years, and have noticed that it has gotten worse and worse every time. There have been numerous times when our order has been wrong, or we've sat and sat waiting for the meal to be ready... Tonight we called in an order and were told it was a 45 minute wait which we were ok with. The waiter took our card and charged it upon arrival and we were told it would be just a few minutes. After waiting an hour and a half total, he returned and told us our ticket had been lost, but we could wait and they would make it. We left and do not plan on returning. Very disapointing because we have always loved out food but the service is just unreliable. read more

Awful! Management has recently changed and Texas Roadhouse has gone downhill. We had gone a couple months back and were told as we ordered that they were out of a few items on the menu and substitutions were not made. We received the last bottled beer they had for our first drink. After informing the waitress that we were not going to stay due to the many items that were not available (the rice, and combo appetizer, the reason we came), we asked if there had been a change in management. We had LOVED this place when it opened!. She informed us that yes, there had been a change in management and they had had problems for the past few weeks. Father's day came, and the in-laws requested dinner at Texas Roadhouse. We hadn't been since the last incident, but went along. We called over two hours ahead of time to be placed on the wait list. Thirty minutes after our arrival we were taken to two separate tables for our party of 9 and told we could not put the tables together. The table behind this was about to leave and plenty large enough to accommodate us, we decided to wait...another 15 minutes. We were seated with hot rolls and our drink order was taken, no silverware was put on the table as is usual when you are seated. Drinks came, the sweet tea was like syrup with sugar granules covering the bottom of the glass. Still no silverware. Our order was taken and a side salad came out quickly but still no silverware! We requested it multiple times but still nothing. Finally, we received silverware, but chunks of paper and food covered most of it. We had to find a manager who rolled the silverware and inspected it herself. Finally, about 30 minutes after receiving the side salad, it was able to be eaten and the now cold rolls could be cut and buttered. Multiple items on the menu were not available as they had run out. Food came. The only good items that were ordered were the steaks, cooked to perfection as usual...however, the rest of the food was inedible. Chicken strips were very questionable, almost green in color and spongy. Most of us went away hungry. Both times our waitresses were super attentive, and tried to do the best they could despite the conditions, nothing bad to say about the waitstaff! read more

Party of 9 to celebrate my grandson bday. Told they couldn't add a table to a both. So we got to back to back boothes. Two separate waitresses. Table 1 waited on had appetizers right away mean while table 2 haven't even got our drinks yet. Table 1 finished appetizers started with the main course . Table 2 just putting in our dinner order. When food came for table 2 table 1 was getting boxed leftovers. My son ordered a salad had to ask waitress for the salad and she was very rude no apologies . Forget refills or need anything. Daughter in law asked for a manager, which never did come after waiting 20 minutes for check. When leaving I told the front girls absolutely the worst service and the manager never came to visit. She said would you like her to come now. I said no thanks damage is already done and I'm leaving . The waitress needs a new job. Being said this is the 2nd bad experience by the wait staff. I have been going to Texas Roadhouse since it opened. It has gone soooooo downhill. Now when we want a steak we also have to ask can we handle a bad experience to get a good steak. It is so hit or miss. Call ahead seating is a joke.. our last experience was so bad, they were out of rolls because the oven was broken. We had to wait for salad because they were out of forks. Our server apparently forgot to place our food order. The manager gave both of us at the table a coupon for a free meal, it expires soon -my dilemma - is it worth the $30 coupon to have a hit or miss experience? Keep ya posted! read more

We eat at Texas Roadhouse all over the US. This one is very good, we have never had a bad experience in 5 years at any of their restaurants.

We usually don't have a problem here but last Sunday we did. We were a party of 6 which is large but that is no excuse. We waited about 30-45 minutes for our food. It was no big deal at the time because we were all catching up with each other and did not keep track of time. A manager came over and spoke to us and told us that the kitchen was backed up and they would do something about it. It was a Sunday night and the place was not packed. No excuse for the kitchen to be backed up. THEN when our food FINALLY came out, it was all cold. We all figured at least one of our meals had to be hot because what were we waiting so long for? Nope! Nobody's food was even somewhat warm. We complained and got our food sent back to be warmed up. That took another 15 minutes! A total hour of us waiting for food. When we got our food back, we spoke to ANOTHER manager who told us this was the 5th time a table has complained about cold food and they don't know what's going on in the kitchen. 5th time??? Something's clearly wrong and someone needs to fix it. It wasn't our fault the kitchen workers are not doing their job. After speaking to TWO managers, when we finally got the bill, they had not taken off anything!!! Now I'm not one to expect free food all the time but after the TWO huge mistakes they made they could have AT LEAST taken off our fried pickles. We will not be back. read more

Excellent service. Fresh peanuts. Drinks were always full. Rolls were steaming hot. Steak was cooked as ordered.

Our experiences here are always pleasant. At busier times, seating is tough and you'll have to wait, but that's to be expected at any popular restaurant. The menu is diverse, although it is a steak joint. Assuming you're going that way, you can walk up to a refrigerated case and select the actual steak you want, and I do recommend doing that. If you don't see anything you like on the tray of strips or ribeyes on display, ask them to pull out another tray and they will. They typically do a really good job of getting the temperature right when ordering a steak a perfect medium. I get mine with the sautéed mushrooms, which go perfectly with the meat. The ribs are really good, too. For appetizers, try the Onion Blossom (their version of Outback's "Bloomin' Onion") or the Rattlesnake Bites, both of which are tasty. This isn't Morton's or Ruth's Chris, so don't expect white tablecloths and a wine list, but if you want a good meal at a reasonable price in a fun environment, this is a good choice. read more

Tonight my family tried to have a nice meal. Although our server, Jarrett, was super friendly, kind, polite, prompt and personable, our steaks were the wrong cut, size, and temperature. After expressing our concerns to our awesome server, Jarrett, he informed the manager Laura. She eventually came by our table completely disinterested and very indignant. With a snarky attitude she gathered our steaks on plates and return them to the kitchen. After returning to the table with the second round of steaks one of the steaks, was still over cooked. With that, she returned to the kitchen to get yet another steak that would eventually be correct. When it was all said and done, the meal was good, our server was great but the manager Laura was sassy, condescending and had no idea that my husband is a butcher and an executive chef and knows what a proper cut of a steak looks like. We frequent at Texas Roadhouse restaurants, Dundalk is the best and White Marsh is great too, not sure about Fallston ! read more

Just came from this place with a large party. Food was average for a chain steakhouse. Service was slow and two of the 9 steaks came out not cooked to order. One steak came out right away the second redo did not come out until everyone else had already finished their meal. The chili was bad better opening up a can of Hormel. Wait staff did not seem attentive, something as simple as only bringing 4 straws when you have six drinks on your tray. Spend more time learning how to wait tables and less time learning how to line dance. read more

Today I went to have dinner with my girlfriend. First off the serviced sucked. Had an empty glass throughout eating my meal and our waitress didn't come back to the table for almost an hour. She handed us the bill and didn't even ask if our food was okay or ask to see if we wanted desert. My girlfriends plate was fine but I ordered 11oz sirloin streak and i asked it to be medium rare and to be smothered. I received the steak and it was well done and the sear was well burnt and didn't have any onions or mushrooms on the steak. I told her I hate to complain but I can't eat this. And she never got the manager or anybody. She just gave me really weird look and so I just paid the bill and left. Without a tip. Service is earned not given. Bad service and food. Never had an issue until today. Will not be coming back to this location. Lost a good regular customer. read more

Called ahead, was told there was no wait, but asked to be on the wait list just in case. Asked if we wanted a booth or table, said we wanted a table. Got there, and there was a wait because there are only 2 tables, the rest are booths. Ordered extra crispy, half hot/half barbecue wings for app, came out as all hot and limp as a wet noodle! Waited at least an hour for entree, steaks was not cooked as ordered. Was told several times the kitchen was backed up. Backed up is one thing, crappy food made it worse. First time to this chain. Service was very good. Atmosphere was friendly. I liked the roles and peanuts and i never wanted for a fresh iced tea. However, I did not realize that by not choosing my steak before being seated that I would be consigning myself to the worst restaurant steak i have ever had. It was full of gristle and was ringed by a huge slab of fat. I ordered medium and got rare. My husband and I have been to this restaurant several times since it opened and we generally have a good experience. However, it seems that each time we go the service and food quality is declining. Our most recent visit was the worst. The hostess seating us does not grab rolls as he is leading us to the table. No biggie, I'm sure the waiter will bring them over. Our waiter comes over takes our drink order, a sweet tea for me and a cherry limeade for my husband. Waiter tells us they don't have limeade which we know is not true as it is the drink my husband orders each time we go. Waiter tells us he will check, husband tells him to bring him a coke if they don't have it. Instead of checking on the limeade, the waiter just brings us back a coke. Lie #1 for our friendly server. I then inquire about rolls. He states they are out of rolls, he'll bring some once baked. However, I can clearly see several baskets of rolls at the counter from where I am sitting, and I am seeing other tables receive rolls. Lie #2 from Dan, the waiter. Well, I needed to ask a second time for rolls and he finally brings them. We get our salads which are always good, but appear to be getting smaller. Of course now the wait for our food begins. Upon arriving, neither of us are very impressed. His ribs, my chicken fingers... meh. The food is definitely not what it used to be. And will this restaurant PLEASE stop with the dancing in the aisles? This practice is such a disturbance. Your servers should be tending to the diners, not doing some ridiculous line dance between tables. And yes, Dan the waiter did receive a lousy tip from us. read more

NOISY! We went to celebrate my husband's birthday and to try this restaurant new to the area. The steaks were cooked to order but the seasonings used just weren't to my liking. Also, my daughter didn't enjoy her pulled pork sandwich....the other daughter thought her burger was good. I ordered the 23 ounce Porterhouse medium rare. When the steak was served it was not more that 15 ounces and almost well done with hardly any color when cut. I sent it back and 15 minutes later the same steak was sent back to the table cooked to a crisp. I don't know how they thought cooking the steak longer would make it less cooked but someone apparently believed they could cook it more to make it medium rare. I guess they thought it would gain 8 ounces also. read more

The food is plentiful and good, but we won't go back too soon. Service at noon on Saturday in Fallston was SLOW. It took us an hr and 20 min. to get out of there. We saw people come in after us, eat the same lunch and leave before we did. We waited between courses! Our food: potato skins (very delicious and not nutritious, each a half slab of ribs-p-partly very good but some areas of dry and stringy meat, chili very good, broccoli mushy and butter/salty). Here's my tip: Don't let them seat you in bar booth with a bartender waitress. She was very inattentive. The music, in addition to being counrty which isn't our favorite, was SO loud that we couldn't converse. And one more unpleasantry, Seated next to us and after us was a couple who reeked of moth balls. Must have just taken clothing out of storage. We would have asked to move but didn't want to seem racist or rude. All in all, we might get take out sometime, but we won't be eating in-house any time soon. read more

Not bad. But the menu constantly nickels and dimes you with 2 dollar additions that should be free. Frankly I prefer Outback Steakhouse.

I have eaten here a few times, but only at the request of friends who like it far more than I. It is loud, the service ranges from poor to mediocre and the food is OK. It is usually packed with screaming children who only add to the din as was the case today. Unfortunately, I did not get the name of our waitress as we each arrived separately. She had to be asked for everything we wanted. One time I had to go looking for her and the restaurant was not crowded today as it usually is. This is not my favorite place. I personally do not like country music very much, but if you do, you will probably like the ambiance here. read more

Great first impression!! My sis in laws goes 1 a month, it was our 1st time, also sons birthday. A Tuesday evening, parking lot almost full, thought we might have to wait. Nope, seated right away. One thing I must mention because there may be someone else like this. I am one of those people with a very sensitive nose. Not just smelling but how those smells affect me. Some places have non food smells which can diminish an appetite. This place had none of that, all I could smell was food. Staff was professional, friendly, attentive, quick, and accomodating. Waitress was very attentive to the birthday boy, he loved the saddle. Only 2 small issues, my Filet Medallions came out without the sauce. But in our servers defense someone else delivered our food, and I think our server would have noticed it. She came over right after we got the food and promptly brought out the portobello sauce. And a steak was more rare than med rare but he said it was fine. She would have taken it back. It's a busy place, nothing and nobody is perfect, our server couldn't have been any more accommodating to our needs. Loved the food, the atmosphere, the staff. The food is always terrific! Jackie, our server, could not have been more sweet and personable. She was extremely attentive and comfortable to converse with. I would give the restaurant 5 Stars but I noticed something strange that truly annoyed me. Our wait time was at least 25 minutes, which is not an issue when you are waiting for good food and usually good service. However, I went to use the ladies room while waiting to be called for our seating and noticed at least 5 tables that were cleared, cleaned and seemed to be available for dinning. I asked the hostess behind the front counter about the available tables and she told me that a server had called out sick and there was no one available to serve those tables. WHAT?!?! There must have been 20 servers working that night and a few of them could not be assigned one more table? Very disappointing on two fronts- all the potential customers that either had to wait such a long time to dine or may have even walked away AND the potential income lost by the management for allowing those table to remain empty. read more

So.... Went to Texas Roadhouse Fallston Friday. Food was good. ( the fillet was amazing and cooked to perfection ) But that is where a positive review ends. Service was absolutely the WORST !!! Once seated our waiter came over and took our drink order. I received my Coke fairly quickly, but my BF had to wait 20 mins for a draft beer. ( we finally had to ask another waiter to find him , so he could get his beer ) Our waiter totally forgot about us and rushed over to take a party of 8 order that was seated 10 mins AFTER we arrived ( guess it was better tip wise for his bottom line ) 25 mins later he finally took our order ) he never brought us rolls ,( again had to ask someone else for them ) he never asked about refills , ( so I had nothing to drink with dinner , because my drink was long gone before he ever took our order) We watched him chat for 7 minutes with the other employees. If you are hungry, my advise is go some where else! Because the wait staff is young and immature, and they really don't care about providing good service. We won't be returning here anytime soon. Tonight was our first time going to Texas Roadhouse. We had heard about the place from others but never seem to make it there when it wasn't a long wait. Tonight we got there when they opened. They welcomed us like we were all family coming in the door for dinner. I told the host that this was our first time here. She told us that we could pick out our steaks if we liked before she sat us. We weren't getting steaks so she took us to our table. Our server was right there with hot rolls and welcoming us and explaining everything to us. Her name was Evelyn. She went and got a bucket full a nuts came right back and took our drink order. She was very friendly and helpful and answered all our question. We order the cactus onion my husband got a bacon cheese burger and I got chicken fried steak. The whole meal was delicious. We give the food a 10 and our server 10+. Evelyn should train all Servers how to be. She was very very good at what she does. Great Personality! We surely will be coming back. read more

I absolutely loved the food here! I ordered the Dallas filet...medium....they describe medium as "hot pink center." I thought it could have been cooked just a tad more but it was not "bloody" on my plate and it just melted in my mouth, excellent steak! Sides were great too! They give you fresh rolls, unlimited with this sweet butter that was awesome! Of course unlimited peanuts while you wait as well! The restaurant was extremely busy on a Wednesday, we arrived at 5:30 p.m. but was not seated until 6:40 pm. for a party of 7, we did not call ahead. I give 4 stars for the quality and prep of food, however, I feel they need to make major improvements with their service. They are nice enough, but because they are so busy, they lack in giving you quality service. We waited a long time for our food as well but it was extremely busy and the food did arrive hot! The waitresses/waitors are spread way too thin and it was difficult to get their attention to ask for what you needed also in part due to the extremely loud atmosphere. It is very difficult to have a conversation without shouting to the people in your party, it is that loud in there! I will say I was very happy with their prices, especially with the quality of food! Not only were their prices good for the food, but also for the alcoholic beverages. Their margaritas are awesome, served in large glasses, perfectly blended and not watered down, you will be feeling no pain after drinking one of these, lol! The size of the drink was that of an easy $9-$12.00 drink, however, to my surprise it was only $7.25! They have a full bar with a large variety of beers including microbrews in bottles, no just on tap! I do look forward to going back despite the loudness, the wait and the quality of service. The restaurant just opened a few weeks ago and hopefully they will work these things out, but we will go earlier next time and/or call ahead. I would give it zero stars but it won't let me. Went there for my anniversary it was St. Patty's day. We got there a half an hour after they opened and got seated right away. We sat there for 25 minutes and couldn't get anyone to wait on us. The teenagers were so busy writing on gold coins and talking to each other they couldn't be bothered with waiting on us. We ended up leaving and going to Friday's down the street. We had excellent service and food, highly recommended. Won't be back!!!!! read more

Went with three others tonight. Wife and daughter got their salad on time. Mine came out after I asked about it. About 30 seconds before my meal. That was the good part. My family and I came to your establishment and it was the worst $60.00 ever spent. We were the first ones to be seated but not served. We had four meals and a appetizer . My ribeye steak was ordered med-well it came out medium it was sent back only to take so long that my two kids were done eating before I got my steak back. This time it was well done and dry. My husbands food was room temperture and the sautéed mushrooms and onions were barely cooked. They replaced the side items with fresh . We didn't order individual items while you wait for your steak the rest gets cold and while you wait for your sides the meat gets cold. They need better servers (Lynn ) and cooks, the management is not the best either. I guess the waitress took it upon her self to keep a $10 tip until I asked her for the rest of the change. I don't mind tipping for good service but for what we got she was lucky to get $5 read more

good, but not great. utilized the call ahead seating meaning almost zero wait time which was great because this place is always mobbed. the service was above average. our waitress was very friendly and attentive making sure to keep the drinks and bread refills flowing. where this place was lacking (and its the most important part!) was the food. the onion blossom appetizer lacked that zesty punch of flavor i've become accustomed to from similar restaurants (read: outback!) as well as the underwhelming dipping sauce that came with it. my guest and i each took a few bites and said "meh." the steaks were cooked perfectly and came out warm & juicy, but something about them wasn't anything special. they weren't very flavorful (once again...something outback does better!) and the sides were also just so-so...especially when this place boasts about the fact that all their sides are made fresh in-house. although the meal wasn't terrible, it wasn't very memorable either. if i'm looking to fill my chain restaurant steak & fried onion appetizer craving....i'll be heading "down under" to the outback! read more
